Puddle is one of the damaging effects that can reduce the quality of pavement. The quality of road construction with asphalt pavement is determined by its stability, flexibility, and durability which are the determinants of the quality of pavement. In this research, Buton Rock Asphalt (BRA) was used as an alternative to improve the performance of asphalt mixture that can be impacted by the mentioned determinants. BRA is Asphalt Buton type 5/20 grain Asbuton type which has penetration value 5 mm and bitumen content of 20%. The aim of this research was to measure the best percentage of BRA level from percentage of BRA substitution (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) as filler and Marshall mix parameter value of Pen 60/70 asphalt with the best BRA Substitution on immersion water with variation of immersion time 30 minutes, 24 hours. Based on Marshall test result with BRA substitution, percentage variation obtained the best stability at 50%, BRA percentage was 1450,78 kg, density 2,45 gr / cm3, VIM equal to 4,17%, VMA equal to 21,76%, VFA equal to 80, 86% and 2.5 mm of flow, and Marshall Quentient of 583.40 kg / mm. This suggested that the use of BRA as a filler substitute material at 50% percentage was the best percentage of BRA substitution with the highest stability value and it met the requirements of other Marshall parameters. The best stability value without substitution with a muddy water bath was 1098.95 kg, with the best BRA substitution of 1476.34 kg. This indicated that the use of BRA as a filler substitute material had an effect on increasing the stability value of AC-WC asphalt mixture to muddy water immersion.

Laston is a mixture of coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, and filler with a binder under the temperature of 145-155oC with the composition being studied and regulated by technical specifications. Laston is also known as AC (Asphalt Concrete).Laston itself is commonly used in Indonesia with continuous gradations used for heavy traffic loads. To get the addictive material is not easy and the material is expensive. Therefore, it is necessary to find alternatives to the cellulose fiber. Water hyacinth is a water weed that once grow and develop, it has high cellulose fiber content, which is about 60%.For that, done a research to add a hot asphalt mixture material that aims to improve the quality of mixed result. The selected material is natural water hyacinth. The method used is trial and error with reference of SNI 03-1737-1989. Variations used are 3%, 5%, and 7% of the asphalt weight, asphalt level used Is 5.61%.The result of this study is Marshall evaluation where the greatest score obtained for stability is 1325 kg,  Flow is 3.73 mm, Quotient Marshall is 401.02 kg/mm, VMA is 66.30%, VFWA is 19.25%, and VIM score is 54.35 %. With this result, the asphalt mixture can not be used because the results of VMA, VFWA, and VIM have not been suitable on specification of SNI 03-1737-1989.  Keywords: Laston, Asphalt Concrete, Water Hyacinth, SNI 03-1737-1989.

With the rapid economic growth and continuously increased consumption, a large amount of glass waste materials is generated; this study investigated the effect of crushed waste glass as filler and also as an aggregate in the asphalt binder course. It compares the glassphalt mix with the specification range at different percentages to meet specifications limit according to Nigeria roads and bridges reverse book of 1997 Waste glass are cleaned and crushed from the glass bottles and added to the asphalt as a filler and as a replacement for coarse aggregates, the marshal method is used to determine the optimum bitumen content and evaluate the properties of the asphalt mix. However, 24 samples were prepared in total, 12 samples each for the asphalt mix used to determine the optimum bitumen content and the other 12 samples for the glassphalt mix used to find out the effect of adding the different percentages of crushed waste glass to the asphalt mixture. The Marshall test carried out on the asphalt mixtures showed that the optimum bitumen content of bitumen was found out to be 6.2% of the asphalt mix by weight. Also, Marshall Test carried out on the glassphalt mix showed the optimum percentage of glass used in the binder course of the weights of aggregates in the asphalt mix. The result of this experiment is been checked to be consistent with the Nigeria road and bridges reverse book of 1997, i.e. Marshall Stability, flow, bulk density, and air voids.

To study the asphalt pavement performances on high temperature or its water stabilities, a series of tests, including high temperature stability test, immersion Marshall test, freeze-thaw splitting test, were finished. According to bailey method, initial quasi grading were calculated. Passing rate of 2.36 mm is respectively 36.3%, 33.1%, 36.1%, 38.7%, which is close to the initial quasi grading, namely 36%, 31.5%, 36%, 40%. Respectively at the test temperature of 60 °C, 68 °C, rutting tests were put forward. The results show that the mixture of gradation one has a higher temperature stability than the others in any case. Marshall immersion test and freeze-thaw test were conducted, optimizing with freeze-thaw splitting intensity ratio, which shows that the mixture of gradation one has a better water stability. To sum up, gradation one is recommended, designed by Marshall compaction molding with times of 100.

Because of the heating limitation of old pavement and the restriction of climate, the quality of hot in-place recycled pavement was different to control. The warm m,ix asphalt technology was introduced to improve the heterogeneity and compactness of the hot in-place recycled pavement and decrease its construction temperature. The compaction characteristics of warm in-place recycled asphalt mixture were analyzed and its molding temperature was determined through the Marshall test. The pavement performance of warm in-place recycled asphalt mixture was analyzed whose results indicated that the introduction of warm mix asphalt technology was able to improve the compactness, the high temperature stability and water stability of hot in-place recycled asphalt mixture and reduce the influence of environment over its construction quality. A warm in-place recycled engineering of Shian expressway was introduced to verify the feasibility of warm in-place recycling technology which demonstrated that the warm in-place recycling technology was able to improve the heterogeneity and compaction quality of the recycled pavement and weaken the environmental pollution.

The mixture of asphalt sand or often called as LATASIR (a thin Layer of asphalt Sand) is often used on the streets as light as local roads or road environment, in order to restrain the rate of water so as not to enter into pores in it. This mixture consists only of fine aggregate or sand or a mixture of both, so of coarse aggregate is not found in its alloy, so have the resilience of the Groove (rutting) are low and cannot be used on roads with heavy traffic or the area slopes. To improve the quality of asphalt mixture Latasir then do the addition of waste tire rubber out of the motor. This research was conducted with the marshall test asphalt plan levels, with 7%, 8%, 9%, 10% and 11% in advance. After obtained the value levels of Optimum Asphalt (KAO), then do the test with the addition of marshall rubber tyres outside the motor of 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% and 5% against weight. The research results obtained a value of 9.8%, KAO then conducted testing of marshall by using a variation of the rubber tyres outside the motor changes characteristic of Marshall, the degree of suppleness and durability is better, but there is a cavity the air that many great VIM or value, so that the value of the VFA became small. From all levels of rubber in asphalt has a great degree of flexibility in rubber 3%, but that filled the whole terms of the 2010 revision 3 technical specifications on levels of 1.5% rubber. Keywords: Latasir Mixture, KAO, Waste Rubber Tyres Outside Motor, Marshall
