Pola ritme merupakan elemen musik utama yang berkaitan langsung dengan gerakan waktu dalam musik, di mana waktu selalu bergerak dan mengatur kestabilan rasa musikal. Pola ritme sangat mentukan ketepatan hitungan dalam permainan gitar tunggal, dan bermain anasambel gitar. Pola ritme merukan objek material penelitian sedangkan proses pelatihan pola rime dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah instrumen gitar merupakan objek formal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dan tindakan kelas dengan teknik pengupulan data triangulasi, sedangkan proses analisis data menggunakan model interaktif. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah strategi latihan pola ritme yang disesuaikan dengan tanda sukat yang ada pada materi yang berupa lagu yang akan dilatih dengan instrumen gitar. moving and regulating musical stability. This study aims to analyze the form and structure of Kentrung Art Performance in Ngasem Village, Batealit Sub-district, Jepara. The research method is a descriptive qualitative method with an interpretative case study as the research design. The data were collected by doing the observation, interview, and document study. The data analysis technique was done throughout the process of reduction, presentation, and withdrawal of conclusion (verification). The results of this study indicate that Kentrung musical form consists of two elements of time and elements of melody. For the element of time, Allegretto tempo is used with its speed between 104-112 steps per minute; its meter uses 4/4, in which there are four beats of one-fourth on each bar; and the rhythmic pattern is divided into two sorts (senggakan and sautan) which generally use the value of half tap, and the outcrop rhythm pattern is used for the big terbangan. Most melodies use a half-tone note with the highest tone of G#5 (la), and the lowest tone is F#4 (sol). The musical structure of Kentrung consists of two sentences or periods namely A B which is respectively repeated.

This article aim to describe and analyze the Public Perceptions in Integrated Administration Service (PATEN) in Muara Jawa Sub-district Office of Kutai Kartanegara Regency. Research focus set, is public perception of service requirements, public perception of service procedure, public perception of timeliness,  public perception about facilities and infrastructure,  public perception, and public perception of technical implementers. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data analysis used is Interactive Model. The result of the research shows that the public perception about the integrated administration service of the sub-district (Patent), in Muara Jawa Sub-District Office of Kutai Kartanegara Regency aplikaif still not meet the expected qualification.Keyword : Public Perception, Administrative Service

The present work explores the implementation of kupingan method in the karawitan music training process to foreign participants with written tradition background. Moreover, it aims to identify, analyze, and elaborate the strength and weaknesses of kupingan method in transfer knowledge of gamelan skills. The present study employed a descriptive-qualitative method and class-action research design. The research objects involved the training of Javanese karawitan music to Tlaga Madu group from the University of Michigan in 2019. The data were obtained through observation of participation, interview, and document study. The data were further validated by triangulation technique and analyzed by steps as follows: identification, classification, verification, reduction, and explanation. The results indicate that kupingan method is applicable in the karawitan music training for foreigners, yet, to a very limited extent. By implementing the method, the training participants can master simple gending (colotomic structure) instrumental of learning materials, such as basic technique and patterns of instruments in the small-format gending lancaran form. On the other hand, the materials of complex gending with larger formats than lancaran are more effective to be disseminated by karawitan notation that is written in detail and elaborated with a demonstration of the song play.

This study aimed at finding out management of the use of facilities and infrastructure in learning, obstacles and the solutions in Elementary School of 25 Betung. This research used a qualitative method. Subject in this study was the principal, teachers, infrastructure coordinator, school committee and supervisor. Technique of collecting data employed observation, interview and documentation. The technique of data validity used triangulation of methods and sources. Data analysis techniques used interactive model. The management of learning facilities and infrastructure is utilized through planning, implementing and controlling facilities and infrastructure. The obstacles are the storage area requires funds for expansion and repair, and a lack of administrative personnel, especially for the management of facilities and infrastructure. Solving budget problems by optimizing the limited personnel is to be more observant in determining the priority scale according to the existing budget, then involving existing personnel in formal courses or training. This study was aimed at examining the violations of conversational maxim in Satu Indonesia talk show. The objectives of this study were to examine the types of conversational maxim violations occurred in the talk show, to examine the realization of conversational maxim violations, and to elaborate the reasons. This study was conducted by descriptive qualitative method. The source of data was Satu Indonesia talk show. There were 44 episodes of Satu Indonesia talk show in 2014 which were consisted of 14 politics, 15 economics, and 15 socials. Then, the utterances of host and guests in 3 episodes of politics, 3 episodes of economics and 3 episodes of social were the data of this study. The technique of data collection was documentary technique and the instrument of data collection was recorder. The technique of data analysis was interactive model by Miles and Huberman. The findings showed that all conversational maxim violations. Quality maxim was dominantly violated in topic of politics; quantity maxim violation was dominantly violated in the topic of economics and social. Realizations of conversational maxim violations were realized through understatement, overstatement, contradiction, sarcasm, metaphor, associative clues, presupposition, personification, synecdoche, and analogy.   Key Words: Conversational Maxim, Maxim Violations, Talk Show

This study deals with language attitude of Mandailingnese teenagers in Desa Sidojadi Kecamatan Bukit Malintang Kabupaten Mandailing Natal. It was aimed to investigate the language attitude of Mandailingnese teenagers in Desa Sidojadi Kecamatan Bukit Malintang Kabupaten Mandailing Natal, realization of language attitude and the reasons why they have the language attitude such the way it is. This study used qualitative method then the design was descriptive qualitative research. The data of this study were the utterances of Mandailingnese teenagers in Desa Sidojadi Kecamatan Bukit Malintang Kabupaten Mandailing Natal. The source of data of this study was eleven Mandailingnese teenagers who lived in Desa Sidojadi Kecamatan Bukit Malintang Kabupaten Mandailing Natal. Observation and Interview were used to obtain the data. The data were analyzed by using Miles, Huberman, and Saldana’s Interactive Model (2014). Based on the data analysis, the Mandailingnese teenagers in Desa Sidojadi Kecamatan Bukit Malintang Kabupaten Mandailing Natal tend to be positive, they realized their language attitude in three domain, they are family domain, friendship domain, and religion domain. They have positive language attitude because they are loyal  to use Mandailing language, they feel proud to have Mandailing language, and they have awareness of language norm.Keywords: Language attitude, descriptive qualitative research, Miles, Huberman and Saldana’s Interactive Model

This study was aimed at examining the Silence of students in EFL Classroom. The objectives of this study were to find out the types and the reason of silence is used by students in Industry Engineering. This study was conducted by descriptive qualitative method. The source of data was recording and interview. The technique of data collection was recording and interview. The technique of data analysis was interactive model by Miles, Huberman and Saldana (2014). The findings of the study showed that: ATDS students in EFL classroom just uses 9 types out of 12 types of silence. They are: (1)The wise or virtuous silent, (2) The modest silent,(3)The cunning silent, (4)The eloquent silent, (5)The dumb founded silent, (6) The culpable silent, (7)The strong silent, (8)The weak silent, (9) The dead silent.Keywords: Silence, EFL Classroom

This journal contains the communication strategy of Unit Link Product Marketing of PT. Manulife Life Insurance to Attract Prospective Customers which is focused on the steps in describing the strategy undertaken by PT. Manulife in increasing the number of its customers. The research method is descriptive qualitative method with data analysis techniques Interactive Model Matthew B. Miles and A. Michael Huberman. The results of the study obtained an illustration that in the communication strategy of Unit Link Product Marketing of PT. Manulife Life Insurance to Attract Prospective Customers by prioritizing two-way communication to customers to sell their products in order to give influence, confidence, and actions taken as encouragement can be seen by using steps in developing effective marketing communications to achieve goals that have been established and can be implemented properly. This article is aimed at finding out the Minangkabaunese verbs that share similar meaning to the verb ‘MANCALIAK’ (equivalent to ‘to see’ in English) using the Natural Semantic Metalanguage (NSM) approach. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. The data were verbs in Minangkabaunese language that possibly have similar meanings with the verb ‘MANCALIAK’ collected through interview. Five native Minangkabaunese living in the area of Padang were taken as the research respondents. In the process of data collection, listening and note-taking techniques were used. The data were analyzed using an interactive model of data analysis considering the table of semantic primitives as the basis of classifying the verbs. Based on the data analysis, it was found that, in Minangkabaunese language, the verb ‘MANCALIAK’ is realized in several lexical items such as maliek, mancigok, manjanguak, maintik, manonton, mancenek, mamareso and mamparatian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini adalah verba-verba dalam BM yang mungkin memiliki kesamaan dalam hal makna dengan verba ‘MANCALIAK’ yang diperoleh melalui wawancara. Lima penutur asli BM yang berdomisili di kota Padang dijadikan sebagai responden penelitian. Dalam proses pengumpulan data, teknik menyimak dan mencatat digunakan. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan model interaktif analisis data dengan mempertimbangkan tabel makna asali sebagai alat pengelompokan verba-verba yang dianalisis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, ditemukan bahwa, dalam BM, verba ‘MANCALIAK’ (melihat) direalisasikan dengan beberapa leksikal seperti maliek, mancigok, manjanguak, maintik, manonton, mancenek, mamareso dan mamparatian. Verba-verba tersebut memiliki kedekatan makna yang memungkinkan penutur BM melakukan pemilihan kata yang kurang berterima dalam BM.Kata Kunci/frase:  Bahasa Minangkabau, makna asali, MANCALIAK, MSA, verba

The aim of this study were to find out category shift types used in thetranslation of novel To Kill A Bird and to describe of how category shift is translatedin the novel from English into Indonesian. This study were conducted by usingdescriptive qualitative method. The data of the study were words, phrases, andclauses in the novel To Kill A Mockingbird which is translated into Indonesian byFemmy Syahrianni. It was found that there were 280 data in the novel from Englishinto Indonesian. The data analysis were taken by listing and bolding. Documentarysheets used as the instrument to collect the data. The data were analyzed based onMiles and Huberman (2014) by condensation which consists of selecting, focusing,simplifying, abstracting and transforming and then data display by using table inorder to get easy analyzing the data. The result of this study were (1) there were fourtypes of category shifts found in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird namely; structureshifts (36.78%), class shift (27.14%), unit shift (32.5%) and intra-system shift(3.27%). (2) The process of category shifts in the translation novel by havingmodifier-head in source language changed into head-modifier in target language,adverb in source language changed into verb in target language, one unit in sourcelanguage changed into some units in target language. and plural in source languagechanged into singular in target language.
