In the paper I discuss the most important trends observed in teaching the Polish language in online TV lessons during the quarantine period. Polish lessons during the Covid-19 pandemic are an important source of knowledge about methodological and didactic trends in Polish schools. They enable the study of contemporary educational habits, as well as ways of their mediatization. Remote education engages teachers and students differently than classroom lessons. I am askingif it creates new didactic perspectives or if it turns out to be just a prosthesis of a traditionally functioning school. I make an analytical review of online Polish language lessons for secondary schools of April, May and June 2020. I note that during the pandemic, an attractive and functional approach to distance learning was not developed, but one methodological tendency was highlighted, namely presentismand providing information.

Abstract The impetus for the research presented in this article was the fact that universities have changed their mode of operation into distance learning as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. This shift was universal and forced, and triggered significant changes in the way the classes were carried out. Therefore, questions arose about how the main actors of this scene, namely teachers and students, cope with the new educational reality. The course conducted by the author of this article, covering the fundamentals of evaluation, under which students each year accomplish evaluation research projects addressing important issues related to education at the Faculty, has provided an excellent opportunity to reflect in this regard. To this end, students prepared and accomplished self-evaluation projects, the subject of which was their functioning in the remote education mode. The analysis of the collected data made it possible to distinguish the elements of remote education, which are particularly important from the perspective of young people studying in new, atypical conditions.

The article discusses the long-term creative search of the famous Russian scientist – Professor Vera Yanovna Korovina – in creating new types of methodological and educational manuals on literature for secondary schools. In the undertaken analytical review of the works of the scientist’s, it is suggested that the methodological and training manuals created by V.Ya. Korovina are a form of practical implementation of her theoretical research in the field of methods of teaching literature. Thus, the methodical collection of articles “in defense of the living word” and phonohrestomatics on literature for grades 5–9 became a practical confirmation of V.Ya. Korovina’s theses “Development of oral speech of students in grades 4–7” and “Methodological foundations for improving the oral speech of students in the process of studying literature at school”. The article uses historical-chronological and structural-comparative research methods. The author describes in detail the innovative content of methodological collections of articles on the development of oral speech of schoolchildren, the study of A.S. Pushkin’s oeuvre at school, prepared by V.Ya. Korovina, noting the variability of the materials presented in them. Typologically new manuals included in the practical activities of secondary schools were the didactic manuals “Reading, thinking, arguing...” and the original type of textbook for the beginning of the century – “Phonochrestomathy”, which became a mandatory component of the educational and methodological set for each class of primary school. Innovative manuals created under the guidance of V.Ya. Korovina were taken as an example for preparing similar educational tools in the lines of other educational and methodical sets on literature in comprehensive schools. The author of the article pays special attention to the typological novelty of the unique reference publication for teachers and students – “A.S. Pushkin. School encyclopedic dictionary”. The typology of a monographic reference publication devoted to the life and work of one writer, developed in this reference book, became the basis for similar encyclopedic dictionaries published later. The article discusses in detail the educational functions of didactic manuals and phonochrestomathies as components of the educational system in the line of teaching sets edited by V.Ya. Korovina.

The problem of introducing distance learning in primary school is actualized by the development of social networks and Internet technologies, which open unlimited horizons for their application in educational activities. In addition, the introduction of quarantine in Ukraine requires primary school teachers to find ways to effectively master the program material. Among such ways is distance learning. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the specifics and possibilities of organizing the educational process in primary school with the use of distance learning. In the process of scientific research methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization and systematization were used. Distance learning in primary school is defined as a form of organization and implementation of the educational process, in which the subjects of learning (teachers and students) in the online mode carry out educational interaction in principle and mainly extraterritorially. In the context of reforming modern Ukrainian education, a number of e-platforms have been created for the organization of distance learning for primary school students. An effective commercial platform for distance learning is the service "My Class", which contains online courses from 1st to 11th grade, which contain lessons that integrate theoretical (test presentation of content) and practical (individual tasks that can be solved independently of each other, a block of tasks that need to be solved sequentially, guidelines) blocks. Result. Emphasis is placed on the requirements to be met by a primary school teacher when organizing distance learning in primary school during the quarantine period and it is suggested to advise parents who will work remotely with junior students in the initial stages of distance learning, gradually transferring activity to children.

<p>This paper presents a tool for drawing dynamic geometric figures by understanding the texts of geometry problems. With the tool, teachers and students can construct dynamic geometric figures on a web page by inputting a geometry problem in natural language. First we need to build the knowledge base for understanding geometry problems. With the help of the knowledge base engine InfoMap, geometric concepts are extracted from an input text. The concepts are then used to output a multistep JavaSketchpad script, which constructs the dynamic geometry figure on a web page. Finally, the system outputs the script as an HTML document that can be visualized and read with an internet browser. Furthermore, a preliminary evaluation of the tool showed that it produced correct dynamic geometric figures for over 90% of problems from textbooks. With such high accuracy, the system produced by this study can support distance learning for geometry students as well as distance learning in producing geometry content for instructors.<br /><br /></p>

The state of education in Poland and its functioning was exposed by the coronavirus pandemic which contributed to school closures and enforced a transition to distance learning. There was a need to look for alternative ways of distance education in which teachers played a special role. Some of them had to learn new skills related to distance education at all levels of education in a short time. In the period when schools are closed or their functioning is limited, the competences they possess play an important role in the educational activity of teachers, among which IT and media competences become particularly important. The considerations presented in the article relate to online education, with particular attention to its necessary aspects occurring both on the side of school and students’ homes.
