Revolution of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has changed the various areas of human life, including the revolution in education. Revolution of education occurs since people migrate their way of learning from conventional to digital learning, face-to-face at a certain time and place into a meeting from anywhere and anytime. In the past we used paper, now we already headed to paperless era. Several years ago, teachers and lecturers is the source of knowledge, it is the source of knowledge can be through a variety of media, such as CD-ROMs and the Internet. The way we learn is change to distant learning with free study hour. Then, it results the term e-learning, knowledge server and knowledge based society. This article discusses how to prepare simple e-learning material (web and cd-based) about Bahasa Indonesian. The program that employs to elaborate and modify the material is Hot Potatoes which is published by the University of Victoria and the Half-Baked Software. The material of Bahasa Indonesian use in this program is a set of questions on National Examination for Selection Admissions (SPMB). These questions will create an interactive multimedia material, especially web-based and CD-based material. Modules that are discussed in this article including input of data (questions, answers, etc.), output configuration (modification of the display and apperance), as well as techniques to publish on the website. In addition, it will also discuss how to keep the material in the web and cd. The final result (output) or material output from this program is the material that can be used as in learning Bahasa Indonesian, especially for self training and test. The Output will be in the form of website and CDs. Keywords: e-learning, Hot Potatoes, web and cd.

The German Network for Bioinformatics Infrastructure (de.NBI) is a national and academic infrastructure funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The de.NBI provides (i) service, (ii) training, and (iii) cloud computing to users in life sciences research and biomedicine in Germany and Europe and (iv) fosters the cooperation of the German bioinformatics community with international network structures. The de.NBI members also run the German node (ELIXIR-DE) within the European ELIXIR infrastructure. The de.NBI / ELIXIR-DE training platform, also known as special interest group 3 (SIG 3) ‘Training & Education’, coordinates the bioinformatics training of de.NBI and the German ELIXIR node. The network provides a high-quality, coherent, timely, and impactful training program across its eight service centers. Life scientists learn how to handle and analyze biological big data more effectively by applying tools, standards and compute services provided by de.NBI. Since 2015, more than 300 training courses were carried out with about 6,000 participants and these courses received recommendation rates of almost 90% (status as of July 2020). In addition to face-to-face training courses, online training was introduced on the de.NBI website in 2016 and guidelines for the preparation of e-learning material were established in 2018. In 2016, ELIXIR-DE joined the ELIXIR training platform. Here, the de.NBI / ELIXIR-DE training platform collaborates with ELIXIR in training activities, advertising training courses via TeSS and discussions on the exchange of data for training events essential for quality assessment on both the technical and administrative levels. The de.NBI training program trained thousands of scientists from Germany and beyond in many different areas of bioinformatics.

This chapter aims to share Turkey’s ICT integration experiences from a country-wide perspective rather than a school or classroom case. Many experiences in different countries indicate that successful ICT integration requires interlocking components, such as purchasing hardware, in-service training for principals and teachers, curriculum integration, financial resources for maintenance, technical, and pedagogical support, and an adequate amount and quality of digital learning material. Lack of one of the components may cause the failure of the whole integration process. The employment of ICT in education is a complex process comprising intricate components, much like the pieces of a puzzle. Sharing the experiences gained from national initiatives is especially important for developing countries, which should make an effort to learn from the experiences of other countries because loans granted by foreign sources make up a majority of the e-learning investment.

The development of information and communication technology plays an important role in meeting the needs of people from various sectors of life, one of which is da'wah. Da'wa activities which are usually carried out face to face, can now be done anywhere and anytime without being constrained by time and place. Youtube is one of the platforms that is often used as a medium of da'wa because Youtube makes it easy to access and spread da'wa messages, especially when conflicts arise in the name of certain groups. This is because the resulting conflict is contrary to the principles of human life, harmony and peace. Therefore, to minimize the occurrence of these conflicts, the application of religious moderation is quite important and is expected to be a 'reducer' for the religious ways of extremist communities. To deal with this, we need some kind of da'wa content that invites people to tolerate and understand the differences, one of which is Shihab & Shihab's Youtube content "Wasathiyyah Islam, Islam in the middle."

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a fundamental impact on various aspects of humanity. Starting from attacking health, this pandemic has hit the education sector which is quite influential on human life. Enforcement of regulations while maintaining a distance of about one meter has implications for the education process in Indonesia. Therefore, the educational element must encourage the distance learning process. The term arises because it sees distance learning as an alternative to face-to-face methods so that education can always be held without controversy under any circumstances. This activity raises the use of technology that is used as teaching material for distance education. Distance learning techniques allow users to take advantage of technologies such as online learning. Teachers will be required to abandon using traditional techniques whose methods are somewhat indifferent. Online learning creates internet connectivity and the use of information technology in helping the teaching and learning process that can be applied in Google Classroom. In this article, researchers focus on using Google Classroom in the context of implementing distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The concept of digital learning or e-learning is now widely applied in many universities. in this research is done architecture design of e-learning information system equipped with e-library as storage media of material needed in learning and also as media of search of library material which amount is not limited. The background of this architectural design is two, which is less effective teaching and learning activities when there is holiday or lecturer absence and the last is the limited number of library  materials in hardcopy. E-learning and e-library as one of the impacts of information technology advances can be utilized to overcome the obstacles in STKOM Al Ma'soem. With e-learning lecturers can provide lectures without having to  face-to-face with students. Whereas with the use of e-library students can get library materials online without limited space and time.

Although the reciprocal relationship of teacher burnout and teacher self-efficacy (TSE) is well documented, the literature still lacks studies investigating their (latent) changes and interrelations of change over time. By applying a latent change regression model in our study, we aimed to contribute to this research gap by examining changes in burnout and their relations to changes in TSE during the COVID-19 pandemic—a very challenging time for teachers. As the implementation of digital learning material played a major role during the pandemic, we were also interested if attitudes and self-efficacy toward e-Learning were related to changes in burnout and TSE. Our sample consisted of 92 German in-service teachers who completed a questionnaire twice during the 2019–2020 school year. Our main findings are that the burnout components depersonalization and lack of accomplishment significantly increased from the pre- to post-COVID-19 outbreak, whereas emotional exhaustion did not. Changes in burnout were negatively correlated to changes in TSE, but we found little evidence for relations of change in burnout and TSE with variables concerning e-Learning. Our findings indicate that the challenge was not the work overload but rather a lack of resources. Implications for research and practice are discussed.

How does e-learning support group work in university information and communication technology (ICT) education within a blended learning environment? While face-to-face interaction was possible for on-campus student group work, distance education students could only perform their group work online. This research adopted a qualitative case study approach. It explored the e-learning use by students in a core subject ‘Software Development’ in a Bachelor of ICT program with three group work assessments. The findings indicate that, while technology could effectively help students to collaborate in their group work and assessment tasks, some technological features in the learning management system are highly subject to constant enhancement, due to the nature of the subject requirements and the need to facilitate frequent technology-mediated interactions in some situations. A model of group work collaboration is developed to explain the need for a new design and development of features in e-learning tools.

Quality of an e-Learning solution depends on its content, services offered by it and technology used. To increase reusability of common learning material which is accessed by multiple applications, there is a need for user-friendly and cost-effective knowledge-based approach. This chapter discusses basic concepts of learning object repositories; presents work done so far and establishes the need of knowledgebased access of the learning repositories to improve cost-benefit ratio of an e-Learning solution. For this purpose, a multi-tier knowledge-based system accessing a fuzzy XML learning object repository is described with architectural framework and detailed methodology. The working of course tier, reusable LO tier, presentation tier, fuzzy interface tier and application tier is discussed in detail with an example to identify learners’ level and determine presentation sequence accordingly. The chapter concludes by discussing the advantages and questions related to further enhancement.

In today's scenario, e-learning has become a significant part of the academic environment as well as of the corporate training sectors. Advancement in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTS) has brought new intersection of education, teaching, and learning that defines e-learning. E-learning systems deliver information for education at any time and at any place in an efficient manner. E-learning system consists of course content or learning materials in the form of nodes. These nodes are linked such that users can traverse the other nodes in the hypermedia environment. These learning concepts are available synchronously and asynchronously in different ways of representation. This presents learning materials in a disorganized manner to the learners. Due to this, learners may decline to adapt the learning material or may deviate from their goals. This requires a user model to respond to different needs of a learner. To handle the uncertainty of learner's mind while learning the concepts an intuitionistic fuzzy approach is used.
