Researches conducted by the Indonesian Institute of Science (LIPI) and the Indonesian National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) have revealed that students in some of the major universities in Indonesia have become potentially radical. This study aims to: (a) find out students' perceptions on social solidarity; (b) understand the student perceptions on national integration; (c) analyze the potential of being radical among the students. We conducted a qualitative survey to analyze the student’s perception of radicalism, social integration, and national integration. The study results show that: first, the majority of informants have a positive perception toward social solidarity to their fellow citizens in the community who have a different social, cultural, religious, ethnicity and language background. Second, the majority of informants have a very positive perception of national integration. Third, there is no indication of increasing radical behavior among FISIP University of Lampung’s students.

Pharmacy law instruction is often taught as a didactic course; however practical application of pharmacy law is a main component of pharmacy practice. Technology-based simulations are becoming more frequently used to enhance didactic pharmacy education. The goal of this study was to evaluate the utility of and student perceptions on the usefulness of MyDispense community pharmacy simulation for additional law instruction that if successful might prompt curricular revamping. This Institutional Review Board–approved, two-year, qualitative, prospective, survey study was conducted in a case study class where students completed MyDispense exercises focused on common legal issues that arise in practice, both individually before and within groups during class. Participating students completed a qualitative survey directed at use of MyDispense for pharmacy law review, which included a series of close-ended questions graded on a Likert scale and open-ended questions thematically grouped. Thirty-eight (41%) and twenty-eight (31%) students completed surveys in 2017 and 2018, respectively. The majority of respondents felt exercises improved their understanding of pharmacy laws, focused on challenging areas, and were more interesting than additional lectures. However, certain topics were reported as irrelevant based on practice experiences or not ideal for simulation, and students desired exercises on state laws versus pharmacy policies. Students reported the MyDispense simulation exercises helped them to recall pharmacy laws and focus on topics that were challenging. These study results prompted curricular revamping to incorporate MyDispense throughout the curriculum for practice in recognizing and solving legal scenarios, along with didactic course changes.

The purpose of this research is to explore the students’ perception about the implementation of blended learning approach (BLA) in inclusive education course. Thirty (30) students participated in this research. The data collection was done by open interview to know students’ perception about the implementation of blended learning. The interview results were analyzed using context analysis techniques. Based on the data analysis, there are four catego-ries of students' attention, namely: display of learning management system (LMS); accessibility; the benefits and sustainability. Student perceptions of each category are: the LMS display on the web of 50.53% is appropriate and simple, but must be modified to make it easier for students to understand. The negative perception about accessibility of 69.57% indicates that internet access to the web is still unstable and slow. Positive perception about BLA benefit of 66.94% indicates good benefits to students especially in terms of adding learn-ing experiences, knowledge, variations of learning models and learning more flexible and independent. A positive perception of BLA sustainability of 66.18% indicates should be continued because it can increase students' learning interest, learn more modern, flexible and independent.

Purpose: Most chiropractic colleges do not offer independent neuroscience courses because of an already crowded curriculum. The Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida has developed and implemented an integrated neuroscience program that incorporates neurosciences into different courses. The goals of the program have been to bring neurosciences to students, excite students about the interrelationship of neuroscience and chiropractic, improve students' understanding of neuroscience, and help the students understand the mechanisms underpinning the chiropractic practice. This study provides a descriptive analysis on how the integrated neuroscience program is taught via students' attitudes toward neuroscience and the comparison of students' perceptions of neuroscience content knowledge at different points in the program. Methods: A questionnaire consisting of 58 questions regarding the neuroscience courses was conducted among 339 students. The questionnaire was developed by faculty members who were involved in teaching neuroscience and administered in the classroom by faculty members who were not involved in the study. Results: Student perceptions of their neuroscience knowledge, self-confidence, learning strategies, and knowledge application increased considerably through the quarters, especially among the 2nd-year students. Conclusions: The integrated neuroscience program achieved several of its goals, including an increase in students' confidence, positive attitude, ability to learn, and perception of neuroscience content knowledge. The authors believe that such gains can expand student ability to interpret clinical cases and inspire students to become excited about chiropractic research. The survey provides valuable information for teaching faculty to make the course content more relevant to chiropractic students.

The location of Ban Eng Bio temple in the middle of the Chinese and non-Chinese residences , with different religious backgrounds, brings many influences. One of them is the influence on the rituals performed in the temple. The implementation of the ritual in the temple does not only involve the Chinese community around the temple, but also non-Chinese communities in the surrounding areas. Study objective: Needle fear is common among patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who require subcutaneous (SC) injections. The convenience, usability and safety of the etanercept biosimilar YLB113 in an injection pen were evaluated among patients who switched from syringe injection. Methods: Patients with RA who had completed the phase III clinical study of YLB113 in a pre-filled syringe (YLB113-002) were enrolled (n = 35) and received once-weekly SC injections with the injection pen (YLB113 50 mg) for 8 weeks. After 8 weeks, patients completed a qualitative survey evaluating the form and design of the pen, its operability, and patient preference for pen or syringe. Adverse events were evaluated throughout the study. Results: Most patients reported the pen was ‘very easy to grasp’ or ‘easy to grasp.’ The pen was also reported to be easy to operate. The click signalling the start and end of the injection could be heard ‘very well’ or ‘well’. Similarly, the injection solution check window could be seen by most patients. About three-quarters of respondents preferred the pen over a syringe. The pen was considered easier to use for the following reasons: the body is easy to grasp; the procedure is easy to understand; and the procedure can be performed without anxiety, fear, or tenseness. Conclusions: The majority of these Japanese subjects with RA in the study judged the YLB113 50 mg delivered by injection pen to be easy to use, convenient and well tolerated

This study proposes a structural equations model of college student attrition based on pre-matriculation freshman attitudes. The study uses a survey administered annually from 1995 to 1999 and tracks persistence and dropout behavior for five years until the last cohort graduated. It discusses seven constructs of pre-matriculation freshman attitudes that resemble the Cabrera, Nora, and Castaeda (1993) model of College Persistence that was based on attitudes of first-to-second year enrolled college students. We applied our survey to a Northeastern sectarian private college. Our model includes external factors such as financial attitude, and endogenous variables such as academic reputation, social integration, institutional commitment, goal commitment, academic performance, and intent to persist. In addition to the variables related to the Cabrera model, we added two measures of social integration, political interests and concern-for the disadvantaged because these were suitable to the type of college which hosted the study. Results provide a multiple group comparative and predictive model of student attrition for annual use by the Dean of Student Affairs in designing proactive plans and implementing intervention strategies to enhance student retention.
