AbstractEducational escape rooms are an emerging methodological strategy in Higher Education, which entails a thorough design of the innovation proposal. Through this work, the main needs that the participants of «JUMANTIC», an educational escape room for students of the Grades of Infant and Primary Education of the University of Murcia for subjects of Educational Technology are collected and analyzed. An Ad Hoc questionnaire was applied, from which a semantic network with Atlas.ti V.8. Is generated, from which 4 categories, 17 free codes are extracted and 79 text units are analyzed. Finally, the results show other factors complementary to those already referenced. Therefore, this work exposes that it is necessary to assess other aspects such as space, temperature, grouping, etc. in order to guarantee an optimal design and implementation of an innovation proposal based on an educational escape room.

This study is focused on the advantages and disadvantages of using a digital portfolio to improve the learning and evaluation processes in the initial teacher training of 4th-year students in the University of Seville (Spain). One of the interests of this research was to compare the learning capacities perceived by the students to improve their learning process before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. A qualitative, descriptive methodology was applied, identifying the most relevant dimensions, categories and codes for the analysis, management and interpretation of the opinions of the students, with a research triangulation (Cohen’s kappa coefficient) and a coding performed using the ATLAS.ti 8.4 software. The results show that the advantages with greater percentage correspond to the following categories: learning, usefulness of OneDrive, autonomy and evaluation. The greatest disadvantages detected were: time, uncertainty, usefulness of OneDrive and autonomy. There are differences in the perceptions of the students, between before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, about the learning capacities developed with the use of digital portfolio, since they consider that they have acquired more significant learning, greater self-regulation of their learning and greater reflection capacity.

Cathy N. davidson'S the new education: how to revolutionize the university to prepare students for a world in flux challenges us to address nonacademics, and to update our teaching, by focusing on the big picture. She calls on us to rise above departmental politics and the tribalism of disciplinary debates. Instead of engaging in those familiar struggles, we should be talking with our neighbors and our elected representatives about the advantages of eliminating letter grades; the virtues of pedagogies that are learner-centered, collaborative, and project-based; the perils of specialization; the damage that departments do by stifling change; the promise of educational technology if divorced from the profit motive; the myth that STEM degrees lead directly to career success; and, of course, the need for public reinvestment in higher education. Each of these talking points draws energy from Davidson's contention that digital media have rendered industrial models of education obsolete.

The concept of university sports in Serbia is still dominantly based on occasional sports manifestations (competitions) for students. Mostly in the shape of single ad-hoc tournaments in different areas of sport or as competitions of student athletes within the University sports association. The current position of a majority of student population in terms of university sports in Serbia can be characterized as passive (spectators), while direct participants, who are recruited from the field of active competitive sports, have this only as an “additional” obligation within the sport they already practice in “their” sport clubs. Therefore, students’ perception of the role of sports/physical activity at university represents a very important determinant for creating adequate (new) program contents, concepts and for the implementation of physical education in higher education institutions in Serbia. The goal of this research, which is realised as an empirical non-experimental study, is to identify the attitude and opinion of students about the role of sport and organized physical exercising at university. The sample involved 227 students at the University of Novi Sad and Educons University from Sremska Kamenica. Survey was used as the basic research technique, and the instrument was constructed as a questionnaire whose basic semantic structure was based on similar instruments used in a few earlier studies. The results showed that the currently trend indicates a drop in regular practice of sport after enrolment in faculty, but youth positively perceive the role of sports at higher education institutions, clearly recognizing its importance in social interaction. Therefore, pedagogical implications of this research can certainly dominantly relate to management structures of higher education institutions in shape of a clear message about the necessity to introduce more intense education of all education stakeholders about the values and importance of physical activity (physical exercising) of youth. In that context, they also encourage changes in overall education policy in Serbia.

This study establishes three objectives. The first, describe the main characteristics of a tutorial action program developed within an academic subject in a Faculty of teacher training. The second, determine the level of appraisement of the degree of importance given by students to a group of transversal skills and the kowledge level related to the research methodology during the tutorial action. The third, discuss the role of the tutorial action at the university in the new European Higher Education Area. The experience was developed in the academic year 2014-2015. Thirty six students participated and constructed two ad-hoc questionnaires. Four elements can be highlighted from the analysis of results: the interaction between participants, the perceived organization and the tutorial action methodology, the positive assessment to the development of skills related to research, and the development of critical attitude. As conclusion, it is considered that showing the process of construction and development of the tutorial action as an alternative experience in higher education and teacher training subjects, can help to clarify alternative pedagogical mechanisms to facilitate communication and participatory processes consistent with the new European Higher Education Area.

This article describes how the use of education technology by those responsible for teacher training is one of the training issues that are often associated with the importance of enhancing didactic efficiency and the procedural and logistical difficulties associated with the instructional design that are identified as the main sources of concern in the professionalization of teachers and sometimes lead to unjustified assumptions about the very nature of the formation. Understanding attitudes towards ICT is important in determining whether future teachers' perceptions about the advantages or disadvantages of using ICT in higher education may condition their proper use in teaching as this provides the basics for professional conduct that is most appropriate. The present article aims to investigate the attitudes of personal and didactic use of technologies and the perception of their digital skills in students attending the Degree Course in Primary Teacher Education at the University of Aquila Studies.

This study describes the premises underlying Voremetur, a project conducted in the context of higher education. It hypothesises the need to support a competence education method adapted to new educational formulas (from e- to m-learning), new educational challenges (e-science, big data) and the convergent competences now characterised as info-communication literacy, which has favoured the transition from edu-communication to multiliteracy. Such competences should be organised into competence programmes, where the assessment of the beneficial results for learners and the university should be included as an essential element. The article discusses an assessment model for new literacies, including its conceptual framework, ideal evaluation tools and conversion into an ad hoc questionnaire. Lastly, the paper describes model application to a target group and analyses the results most relevant to information behaviour.

In the second decade of the XXI century, the introduction of electronic and digital devices in all links of public relations reached an outstanding scale, which was also noted in the educational process of higher education institutions. The development of the modern educational environment of the university is impossible without the use of digital learning tools (CSOs) such as: distance learning platforms (EQUITY MAPS, GOOGLE CLASSROOM, MOODLE), mobile digital applications (CLASTIME, LEARNINGAPPS, QUIZIZZ) and online communication platforms (GOOGLE MEET, ZOOM, WEBEX). A special place in the context of the introduction of CSR belongs to medical education, where the level of personal training of the applicant (theoretical and practical) is very important in the context of saving human lives. Digital learning tools allow you to use the features of a modern applicant with his constant stay in the digital space for the purpose of training before the introduction of restrictive measures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The educational process should not stop, and applicants should receive a high-quality education, but it is necessary to maintain a balance between classroom and distance forms of knowledge and skills transfer. The educational technology of mixed learning can come to the aid of participants in the educational process. This training technology is quite new and dynamically developing, it is indispensable for full-time training. This educational technology of providing educational services combines the best aspects and advantages of teaching in the classroom and interactive or distance learning, creates accessible courses for educational applicants, in which the educational process is a system, consists of different parts that function in constant interrelation with each other, forming an integral educational environment of the university.

Gender equality is a fundamental principle in democratic societies and in the development of the education system. In this sense gender equality it has been part of European policies developed since the late 20th century. During the implementation process of the European Higher Education Area, the goal of reducing inequalities between women and men in higher education was formulated. The aim of this work is to study gender equality in studies of teaching in democratic Spain. This research follows the methodology of legislative analysis; we conducted a tour of the main laws that affect equality and its realization in the curriculum, as well as the theoretical review of the inclusion of a gender perspective in initial teacher training. We analyze legislation and teaching curricula to conclude the reflection on the changing trends. In the second decade of the century inequality persists in education through various forms, from socialization to stereotypes, the hidden curriculum and teaching materials. The formation of teachers is one of the keys to eliminating gender inequality, although not a major aspect in their learning. The legal framework has not been developed enough to solve this problem, since the legislation has not been explicit. Universities are constantly changing, but the university has done little to introduce changes relating to equal training, to consider gender bias in programs, and to recognize sexism in the classroom, and as such, face significant challenges to solve inequality.

Institutions of higher education are increasingly compelled to produce evidence that illustrates their contribution to society. In this age of demonstrating value added, self-assessment is critical for urban and metropolitan universities. This study will explore the design and implementation of a landscape analysis – phase one of an in-depth self-assessment – at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). This process is intended to help universities gain a better understanding of how community engagement is conceptualized and institutionalized on their campus. A thorough understanding of the meaning of, and linguistics associated with, community engagement is imperative for the creation of community engagement measurement and assessment mechanisms. The authors will share the methodology and key findings, which include the discovery of domains of community engagement and acknowledgement of a spectrum of engagement.
