AbstractIn Japan, the Juris Doctor (JD)-style law-school system was introduced in 2004 as part of a judicial system reform. As of late, this system seems to have become dysfunctional. The pass rate of the national bar exam (NBE) is around 20% every year, and the NBE puts students are under considerable pressure. “Re”-renovation of legal education is, thereby, a huge and pressing issue. Reducing the number of JD students could be a quick solution to the current problems. However, this is not enough, nor is it good for fostering legal professionals “rich both in quality and quantity” (the second aim of the judicial reform). Legal education should go beyond the NBE. The Japanese government and law schools have just begun to re-renovate legal education, giving priority to three challenges: (1) offering continuous legal-education programmes for practitioners; (2) enhancing community service and supporting career development of graduates in the new legal service area; and (3) internationalization. How can the Japanese legal-education system go beyond the NBE? Re-renovation deserves continued attention.

The true teenager is the hope of a nation, the country will become strong if it has teenagers who are spiritually intelligent, intellectually and have a strong emotional. As the rapid development of the world makes changes in behavior in adolescents, but these changes are more likely to lead to negative activities rather than positive activities. Problems that often arise are usually related to sexuality issues, such as unwanted pregnancy, abortion, HIV / AIDS, and drug abuse. Adolescents with these behavioral deviations need a treatment and also get information about reproductive health for young women and men, need to organize a good future by leaving unwholesome behavior that can damage the future of adolescents. Going through adolescence far from deviant behavior would certainly be our common concern. Teenagers will not be able to walk on their own without the assistance of parents, the school, home and etc. Realizing this, the Community Service Study Program of the Midwifery Study Program at the Faculty of Health, Ngudi Waluyo University, felt responsible for facilitating adolescents to learn to understand and be able to practice healthy behaviors to become adolescents who had strong hopes for the nation. Community Service is carried out in 5 stages, namely the first phase of selecting active groups of students who are willing to be agents of change for GenRe / willing to be peer educators, the second stage of counseling and training of peer educators. The third stage of mentoring is increasing peer group skills in providing information to peers. Stage four peer educators independently socialize GenRe to peers. The Fifth stage evaluates the delivery of information from peer educators to their peers, explores the usefulness of the existence of peer educators, limitations and new things that arise when becoming a peer educator. Keywords: Generation planning, peer educators

In this paper an analysis is offered of compulsory so-called "live client" clinical legal education as part of the LLB as a means of improving access to justice for the indigent. This study first explores the factors which motivate which the establishment of a year’s compulsory community service during the LLB studies, and making clinical legal education compulsory. The motivation includes inducing law students and graduates to aid in the achievement of access to justice. The research then focuses on what the value of community service is in higher education generally. In the South African civil justice system many ordinary people cannot afford to use the courts because of the expense involved, or because they are ignorant of their rights.  This is particularly the case in civil as opposed to criminal matters, as legal aid is more frequently focused on criminal than on civil matters in this country. This paper will consider the role which senior law students may play in rendering pro bono work as part of clinical legal education in their LLB studies. In this regard particular focus will be made on the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), the only university offering law studies in greater Durban. As for pro bono work by students during their LLB, consideration could be given to making clinical legal education a compulsory part of such students' curricula. Possible compulsory community service for law graduates (ie post-LLB) as envisaged in the proposed Legal Practice Bill falls beyond the ambit of this paper.
