The subject of this research research is the resolution of socio-natural contradiction, which consists in the fact that the growing needs of mankind are no longer satisfied by the biosphere, which can escalate into a planetary catastrophe. The resolution of this contradiction consists in the achievement of global sustainability that takes place in accordance with the certain “algorithms of development”, which opens horizons for a long-term and safer socio-natural evolution on Earth. The global world,  although becoming sustainable,  is not isolated from the space processes and factors due to the natural-spatial connection of the planet with its extraterrestrial environment, and even more so, due to the beginning of space exploration. Even the global world created in the future would not long endure without further sustainable space exploration; its longevity would require transition of the industrial complex in the outer space. Thus, the achievement of global sustainability will be accompanied by transition to an even safer type of evolution with focus on reaching geospatial sustainability. The further socio-natural evolution clearly indicated geospatial trend, which connects the vectors of global and extraterrestrial mainlines of sustainable development.

Abstract The geostationary orbit is a special area in outer space. Because of its distinctive characteristics, it has constantly been the subject of economic and political desirability. Space powers, taking advantage of their technological superiority and rules applied by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) retained a privileged position. Developing countries, responding to this state of affairs, have taken a number of measures to improve their positions. Some of them posed a challenge to the main regulation of space law (Bogota declaration was an attempt to exercise a national sovereignty over the segments of the geostationary orbit), some are based on the use of the legal gaps in ITU regulations. Given these circumstances, the specific case of geostationary belt contributes to the debate on the regulations governing space exploration.

This article was created to present a broader, more critical view of the idea and concept of sustainable development, which has dominated the discourse on development for several decades. Based on the analysis of the literature on the subject, an attempt was made to state and explain how the original assumptions of the concept should be understood today. The most important contemporary challenges related to sustainable development have been identified. First, a historical analysis of the concepts of development and sustainable development was conducted, based on which it could be noticed that the original assumptions of the ideas have been forgotten. Then, the main dimensions (areas) of sustainable development in the literature of the last thirty years were examined. It has been noticed that the dimensions and their relations were very varied, and, first of all, defined in a rather general way. In an attempt to overcome that inaccuracy, efforts have been made to define the dimensions of sustainable development in a more precise way. Based on the analysis of the literature of the subject, it was determined that it was necessary to define the concept of sustainable development in a broader way, through the prism of 6 hierarchical dimensions: an expanded and modified economic area, a social justice area, an area of environment, an area of needs and rights, a democracy area as well as an area of long-term perspective and relations. The performed research confirmed that if sustainable development was to represent the most important current and future development issues, it should be structured around the key demands raised by scientists.

In the modern economics of industrial production the fundamental trend is the technological potential connected with the period of transition to innovative high technology industrial production. It is an important factor influencing the perspective indicators of development of economics and the entire industrial complex. Management of industrial enterprises requires establishing new approaches to the use of technological potential and its management. For this purpose, the works of scientists in the subject area of the technological potential of industrial enterprises have been studied. The authors consider theoretical approaches to studying technological potential and sustainable development of industrial enterprises. They systematized methodological approaches to studying the concept of ‘technological potential’ and structured the factors influencing it. The fundamental factors include social, international factors, state of economy, economic policy, market factors, factors of governmental influence and institutional factors. To assess the technological potential of an enterprise, a system of KPI is used, which allows taking into account the limitations and desirable levels for a whole range of particular parameters of indicators, indicators, both quantitative and qualitative.

Culture's importance is becoming a critical issue in our society. This is because such positions must be clearly defined for sustainable development to become a reality. The society appears to be having some difficulties right now. These factors include urbanization and climate change. The way these issues are solved will have a significant impact on society's future. This paper will examine literature to study the connection or relationship that exists between the built environment, sustainable development, and culture to describe the subject matter of this research. The importance of culture, the built environment, and sustainability will be highlighted in this section. Relevant and valid articles that demonstrate how culture is crucial in any sustainable environment or community will be the emphasis. The literature study explains how culture has a greater impact on societal development in both social and economic terms. Culture plays an important influence in long-term development. In other words, it is a critical component of the process. This is because it oversees assisting people in forming relationships and cultivating the proper attitude in the society in which they live. Sustainable development is an important idea and role in every culture and society. This is due to the fact that it has been discovered to have a good impact on every aspect of an embedded civilization. This paper will attempt to provide a comprehensive examination of culture and its contributions to environmental and sustainability issues. Culture will be considered as a fundamental component of any sustainable environment, as well as a component of the environmental, economic, and social implications of sustainable development.

This requirement is particularly acute for material science engineers as their work has a lasting impact on our future sustainability. Recent developments and innovations in material science can be useful tools for achieving sustainable development, provided material science engineers are aware of the issues. They should be particularly aware of global sustainability challenges, and should be able to understand how they can contribute to the solutions of these problems. Therefore, this chapter discusses how sustainable engineering principles can be introduced into material science education. It also discusses the curriculum for the subject Sustainable Infrastructure that is offered at La Trobe University in Victoria (Australia) for senior Civil Engineering students.

At the present stage, the whole world is facing serious energy challenges, including the rapid growth of energy consumption, the inevitable exhaustion of energy resources with an extremely uneven distribution, a large environmental burden on nature, and the globalization of energy. The electric power industry harms the environment with its excessive emissions of pollutants, which is reflected globally. The article first of all offers a literary review of studies on this topic. A comparative description of the achievements of countries in the field of emission schedules is proposed, as well as the prospects for drawing up a schedule of emission intensity for the period up to 2030 in comparison with countries. In addition, this paper presents unresolved problems that impede sustainable development, which guarantees the stability of the future existence of mankind. These challenges hamper the sustainable development of the energy industry in the long term and the global sustainable development and prospects for green economic growth of the country. Thus, the relevance of the subject of the study is due to the lack of resources, reflecting the relationship of trends in reducing pollution from the activities of industry with the conditions of economic growth.
