The article is devoted to the development of organizational and analytical tools for the mechanism of step-by-step formation of technological partnership in industry. The result of the research is a developed procedure for forming a technology partnership mechanism, which consists of five stages that allow determining the name and result of each of them. The proposed mechanism assumes at each stage the collection and analysis of information about the parameters of technological partnership of industrial enterprises, and also allows you to justify the list of consecutive directions of development of technological partnership, which determines the theoretical significance of the results obtained. For this purpose, they use methods of concept construction, logic, abstraction, description, and calculation method. The evaluation results determined within the relevant stages of the technological partnership mechanism serve as the basis for implementing regulatory measures by the subjects of the technological partnership to improve the regulatory and organizational and managerial conditions for the participation of industrial enterprises in the process of integrating technological decisions made within the framework of the technological partnership

The purpose of this work is to develop the hydrodynamic calculation method for selective water-intake process applied to the problem of water supply to industrial enterprises, including thermal and atomic power stations using the reservoirs with the continuous density stratification. In the method of solving the problem, the variation of density along the depth is approximated by an exponential function. The water is taken through a window arranged on the side of the water body. The boundary value problem for the linear theory of surface gravity waves of small amplitude in an ideal incompressible and inhomogeneous fluid is used as a mathematical model of the water intake process. As a result, a set of calculation formulas has been obtained that allows solving the problem of water supply to industrial enterprises, including thermal and nuclear power stations, from water bodies with a continuous density stratification along the depth. Computational experiments have been performed, the results of which are given in the form of graphs of the dependence of the thickness of the bottom layer of water sucking the window on the density Froude number and on the height of the water intake window. The following conclusions are made on the basis of the comparison of the developed hydrodynamic calculation method compared with the existing hydraulic method: 1. In the existing hydraulic method of calculation, only the law of the dependence of the thickness of the suction ground layer of water on the density Froude number is described, however the nature of its dependence on the height of the water intake window is not established. 2. In the hydrodynamic calculation method of selective water-intake process developed in the article, the law of the dependence of the sucking through the window water ground layer thickness both on the density Froude number and on the height of waterintake window is established. 3. In connection with the aforementioned deficiency of the hydraulic calculation method, in reservoirs characterized by a continuous density stratification in depth, calculations and design of selective water intake devices should be carried out according to the hydrodynamic method developed in the article.

The use of moonpools in offshore technology are normally related to the hull opening in drilling units with the objective to protect drilling equipment from environmental forces, and its design aims the minimum motion of the water inside the moonpool, avoiding water impacts when lowering an equipment. Several studies have been carried out to predict the water dynamics inside the moonpool. At most, analytical tools have been used with experimental results, to obtain a good evaluation of viscous effects. Another line of development uses the moonpools as a device to reduce motions of ships or oil platforms. In his context, the use of moonpools in monocolumn type platforms was studied during the development of the concept, through the partnership between PETROBRAS and University of Sa˜o Paulo–USP. An alternative that became viable in the last years is the use of numerical methods to evaluate potencial parameters, being only necessary simple experiments to obtains viscous data to complete the model. This work, that is a continuation of articles about the issue written before, intends to consolidate the calculation method of moonpool to monocolumn units.

Abstract The present chapter will illustrate few examples of multi-technique and multi-scale approaches for objects belonging to past or modern periods in the history of art chronology. Thus, four studies on four different topics are brought to the attention: multi disciplinary and multi-techniques characterization of gilded altarpieces and sculptures in Portugal between 1500 and 1800 (3 years research project); an interdisciplinary approach to easel paintings from fifteenth and sixteenth century in Portugal (3 years research project); characterization of ketone resins varnishes (2 years research project) and of salts developed on canvas paintings from the Munch Museum collection (past investigation to be continued with an ongong 3 years research project). These studies show how important is to make use of different analytical tools when investigating a specific material, artistic technique or degradation phenomenon. The objects studied in the above mentioned research projects were created on wooden or canvas supports and they present paint, polichromy or gilded layers, and varnish coatings, therefore their structure and composition is complex and requires a complex, interdisciplinary approach. In many cases to the surface materials from a polychrome or painted object, degradation products are present and their identification as well the understanding of their mechanism of formation is possible only we have a complete overview of the materials present in the layered structure of the object.

Subject. The article analyzes the economic activity of a large enterprise and forecasts basic technical and economic indicators. Objectives. Our aim is to develop analytical tools for business analysis, based on official reporting data, intended to increase the reliability of knowledge about the business situation at the enterprise. Methods. The study employs methods of analysis of technical and economic indicators, intelligent multidimensional data analysis, forecasting methods, time series models, and multivariate dynamic regression models. Results. We developed tools to evaluate management decisions on the basis of the volatility of income and expenditure indicators, which enable to assess the effectiveness of technical and economic solutions. We also developed a hybrid approach to forecasting the main technical and economic indicators based on models combining the multivariate dynamic regression models, multivariate autoregressive models, and adaptive forecasting models. The presented analytical tools for business analysis were tested on the materials of three large industrial enterprises of the chemical complex. Conclusions. The offered instrumental methods can be integrated into the analysis of enterprise by minority shareholders or potential investors, who do not have access to management statements. We also recommend them as analytical tools in the field of business consulting and business analysis for various purposes, including investment ones, to increase the reliability of knowledge about the condition of business, according to official reports of the enterprise.

Irradiation effects studies employing TEMs as analytical tools have been conducted for almost as many years as materials people have done TEM, motivated largely by materials needs for nuclear reactor development. Such studies have focussed on the behavior both of nuclear fuels and of materials for other reactor components which are subjected to radiation-induced degradation. Especially in the 1950s and 60s, post-irradiation TEM analysis may have been coupled to in situ (in reactor or in pile) experiments (e.g., irradiation-induced creep experiments of austenitic stainless steels). Although necessary from a technological point of view, such experiments are difficult to instrument (measure strain dynamically, e.g.) and control (temperature, e.g.) and require months or even years to perform in a nuclear reactor or in a spallation neutron source. Consequently, methods were sought for simulation of neutroninduced radiation damage of materials, the simulations employing other forms of radiation; in the case of metals and alloys, high energy electrons and high energy ions.
