The implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into learning activities presents a significant effect on the quality of education, especially in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The present study aims to evaluate the level of implementation of ICT in learning activities for vocational teachers. This experimental research used survey method by distributing questionnaires to respondents with different subject expertise. The results showed that the use of ICTs in learning process has not been implemented optimally. This is caused by the low competence of teachers in the sector of information and communication technology. In addition, the lack of ICT infrastructure in schools causes a deceleration in the development of ICT-based learning models. Comprehensive improvement need to be implemented so that the development of ICT-based learnings model can be performed. The results of this study are expected to provide positive feedback to improve the quality of Indonesian education

In a society in which technologies have increasing relevance, there are several arguments for their inclusion in school. Indeed, the use of Information and Communication Technology emerges as a great and valuable possibility of change, a new support of teaching-learning processes. It seems clear that its use constitutes an unavoidable fact to which no teacher should remain indifferent. This is the purpose of this article which focuses on the importance of ICT in the context of practicum placements. To this extent, we describe 10 seminars about practicum placements in the Trás-os-Montes y Alto Douro University (Portugal), with future teachers of elementary education. During these seminars some ICT tools were presented so that students could check how they could use those tools in their lessons, show their usefulness in their future teaching and leave advice on how future teachers might elaborate digital pedagogical materials which respond to their educational intentions and to different learning environments according to learning characteristics and styles. It concludes by highlighting the relevance of these seminars and the usefulness of ICT in the context of practicum placements.

The continuous development of the new-generation Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has drawn increased focus and investment from China. However, will China’s investment in the ICT bring a long-term positive impact on China’s economic growth? Will such impact be changed by any external factors? These questions bear strong significance for the academic cycle and require urgent solutions. Given such concerns, the paper introduced a partial dynamic adjustment model and selected the panel data of China from 2001 to 2016 to study how China’s investment in ICT affected its economic performance. The study found that such investment has significantly promoted the economic growth of China with gradually shortened gap between physical capital and the ICT investment, while human capital still played a vital role in economic growth; there is a mutual and harmonious influence between macrovariable and the speed of adjustment, and only their effective combination can improve economic performance to the maximum extent.

Almost all countries in the world have been affected by the Covid-19 virus pandemic, including Indonesia. The Indonesian government established a Large-Scale Social Restriction policy in an effort to break the chain of spreading the covid-19 virus. The limited movement of people makes information and communication technology play a very important role as well as a solution to overcome these restrictions. Technology helps parents to keep working and finish their work from home, shop from home and children can learn from home so that effective and efficient distance learning activities can be realized. Optimizing the use of information and communication technology in the family provides more benefits for all family members during the Covid-19 pandemic due to the imposition of social restrictions that require all to stay at home.

The study was conducted focused on the utilization of Information and Communication Technology in Technical-Vocational Schools in Region V, Philippines, School Year 2011-2012. It determined the profile of teachers, adequacy of ICT equipment, competence of teachers and their relationships. The data were gathered through a questionnaire-checklist formulated by the researcher. The validity and reliability of the instrument were ensured. Findings revealed that the majority of the teachers are 26 years old and above. Three-fourths of them have attended a very minimal number (1-3 times) of ICT – related training. Eighty-four percent of the teachers have master’s degrees; fifty percent of them have served the government for more than 10 years; fifty-eight percent were occupying Teacher I position; twelve percentage designated to different administrative functions. There is fairly adequate ICT tools and equipment and the teachers are competent in working with word processors only. Furthermore, the age of teachers and the competences is significantly related to using ICT tools and equipment. The researcher concluded that there is a dearth of ICT-related training for teachers of all age levels and ICT tools and equipment should be procured to sustain the development of competence among teachers. It is recommended therefore to implement the proposed ICT development plan and the conduct of further research on the extent of utilization of ICT tools and equipment along the actual teaching-learning process.

In this cashless economy era, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) plays a vital role in making payments using various payment modes. The mobile wallet app is an innovative technology for avoiding the usage of physical cash. The mobile wallet records all kinds of transactions with a clear payment reference and makes it accountable for tax payments. There are countless reasons for using mobile wallets which makes service providers confused and leads them to offer unattractive features in the wallet apps making the offer as a failure. This paper attempts to collect the data from the mobile wallet users and provide a clear understanding of the reasons for using mobile wallets. Secondly, the customer preferences towards Google Pay and PayTm are analyzed in detail with primary data collected from mobile wallet users to suggest a model for improving the business. This research was conducted to understand the customer's inclination towards the use of mobile wallets.

I hope this editorial note finds you well and healthy, especially amid the uncertainty due to COVID-19. We are concerned about our children, families, neighbors, colleagues, and ourselves. We are contending with daily reports of death presented as the centerpiece headline news while we are dealing with grief and uncertainty. The impact of this current pandemic on society, in general, is increasingly visible, and we find ourselves in a permanent state of transformation due to the dizzying proliferation of technologies. This pandemic expedites the vital role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) that drives the modern world in education as well as in all other areas. On the other hand, as schools and higher education institutions rapidly move their learning, teaching, and assessment online in response to the worldwide pandemic, academics feel improvised, inefficiently supported, and deeply fearful.
