This paper deals with key roles required for a teacher in new digital era. Teachers’ role in the 21st century has become more complex in the present changing world here knowledge is almost unlimited. Teachers are expected to become technologically oriented and responsible not only for their teaching but also for their students’ learning. Today teachers are required to be facilitators helping learners to make judgements about the quality and validity of new sources and knowledge, be open-minded and critical independent professionals, be active co-operators, collaborators, and mediators between learners and what they need to know, and providers to scaffold understanding. In this digital era, teachers’ role has shifted from mere preacher to the manager of students social and emotions behaviours; mentor for their learning and over-all development as a balanced citizen; motivator for slow learner and a fast learner in digital environment. He has to keep watch on the time spent by learners for their proper time management which make certain that the learner utilize optimum e-resources. He has to address social and emotional issues that affect learners’ learning, and be ready to make changes when their learning stalls.

RSU doctorate in law Liene Vindele analyses a currently very topical and significant problem – legal protection of authors’ rights in the digital environment. Development of the digital environment has allowed for scrutiny of copyright deficiencies, the elimination of which is significant not only in the context of Latvia, but also world-wide. The digital era has provided much easier opportunities for a consumer to access the illegal content in the digital environment than locate the legal one. One can agree with the viewpoint of the author that it is important to educate society on copyright issues, not just establish a penalty system; therefore, educational measures may promote societal understanding on the role of copyright issues.

This study departs from the anxiety of the author about the condition of the teachers in the digital era. The author sees that at this time some teachers have difficulties in dealing with millennial students. Based on this problem, the authors do a study about the role of teachers in utilizing learning media empirically. Based on the study which did by the authors in this paper, three important point must be done by teachers in dealing with millennial students, that are: first, teachers can take advantage of all forms of technological development. Technological progress is something that cannot be avoided in this life, so the teacher should not be allergic to all forms of development that exist. Second, teachers can understand the power of the media as a source of learning. The benefit of learning media is determining the quality of learning delivered by a teacher. Therefore, teachers need to prepare learning media before teaching in class. After that, the teacher has to understand the needs of the millennial students. The needs of millennial students are not the same, but at least the presence of teachers provides solutions both cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The uniqueness of the teacher, in this case, is a teacher can act as anything as long as it can influence student behavior towards positive actions, even those students can become actors of the progress of the media. This is evident from the student activities that have been narrated in this paper

The digitalization of the world has brought with it changes in the mutual relationship of parents and children, upbringing traditions, and challenged the parents' role. Parents' attitudes towards the digital world could be described as “fear and fascination,” where a fraction treats the possibilities provided by the digital environment with uncritical adoration, while another fraction is convinced that the digital environment poses a variety of risks, which is why children should be deterred from the use of digital media for as long as possible. None of the approaches is productive in helping the development and growth of children born in the digitalization era. That is why an objective for the study was set out – to identify parents' competence in promoting children's digital literacy in order to seek solutions and make recommendations for parents to promote children's digital literacy. The chapter summarizes the results of a part of an ongoing study of parental competence in raising kids of the digital era.
