The development of the modern economy in the world and in Ukraine is inextricably linked with the field of information technology, which is undoubtedly the fastest growing sector of the economic system at the moment. A clear indicator of this is the steady growth in demand for employees in the IT sector and the rapid increase in their salaries. Active work of personnel managers in determining the level of qualification and establishing a decent and appropriate salary is a necessary prerequisite for successful prosperity of the IT market. It leads to higher professional level of employees, improved productivity and is a key factor in attracting new employees. The presence of such a trend necessitates the creation of a tool that would help managers make decisions about determining the possible salary of the employee and his level of professional qualification. The main purpose of the research is to develop an econometric model and decision support system based on it to determine the salary level of an IT company employee. The developed decision support system is a really effective application to help the user in determining the possible level of salary, qualification level and has a huge number of advantages. DSS is easy to use, because the application does not require knowledge of economic and mathematical modeling and provides a really simple algorithm, from the user's point of view, to determine the level of wages. Also, application has the ability to process large data sets, because all you need to process data – is to load them into the application and perform calculation in a few actions.

Abstract A decision support system with damage stability analysis has been recognized as an important tool for passenger ships. Various software applications have been developed and taken into use over the years, without a direct link to any compelling requirement, set forth in the international regulatory framework. After the Costa Concordia accident, new regulations have been established, setting minimum requirements for a decision support system, as an extension to a loading computer. Yet, more advanced systems have been developed recently, aiming at providing valuable additional information on the predicted development of the stability of the damaged ship. This paper presents these alternative decision support systems with damage stability analysis methods for flooding emergencies on passenger ships. The technical background, usability, and usefulness of the various approaches are compared and discussed, taking into account the important statutory approval point of view. In addition, practical examples, including past accidents, are presented and discussed.

Information and communication technologies (ICT) and e-business are affecting our economic progress, social development, and the environment profoundly and in a complex manner. As an emerging field of research, significant interests have been aroused but quantitative studies are rather limited. Traditional systematic approaches for impact studies have been found to be insufficient to deal with this research topic. In order to further explore the relationship between ICT/e-business and the environment, the approach adopted in this study aimed to simulate how ICT/e-business indicators interact with environmental indicators quantitatively. Owing to lack of data and information in the current area in government bodies/councils/research institutes, two questionnaire surveys were conducted. Details of the data collection progress are provided. An artificial neural network (ANN) approach, embedded in a more predictive and empirical model, is suggested herein as a new methodology and possible solution. Furthermore an expert decision support system (EDSS), built around these neural networks with a user-friendly interface and being able to post-process data to information, is developed. The system could be used, for example, by an individual company to analyze how its ICT/e-business adoptions influence its environmental performance.

The need to effectively integrate decision‐making tasks (such as interactive access to data and support for numerical and quantitative modelling techniques) together with the knowledge representation and visualisation tasks and inference procedures that model an expert's thought process has provoked research efforts to integrate decision support systems (DSS) with knowledge and expert systems (ES), neural networks and multimedia towards the formulation of intelligent DSS. We can analyse the intelligent DSS as a network of distributed systems (DSS, ES, neural networks, etc.) each of them facing and solving a specific problem. Under this point of view different systems can be integrated in the integrated system. Knowledge based decision support system for building refurbishment developed in Vilnius Gediminas Technical University is described in the paper in order to describe the above systems integration.

The goal of this chapter is to describe a set of concepts for the design of information systems supporting the global decision process in an organization from a management point of view. Managers are responsible for decisions that are crucial for the success of the organization. Supporting decision taking by management in an integrated way means to support the global decision process of the organization and increase its efficiency and resilience. The system is envisaged so that i) each manager has available a decision dashboard to support the flux of decision-making for which he or she is responsible; ii) the dashboards also allow managers to crowdsource from non-managers different aspects of decision iii) the dashboards are connected in a conversational network; iv) this conversational network is so structured to support the global decision process of the organization.

Analysis and design of a decision support system aims to deal with problems in selecting the best supplier which is a problem at PT. Independent male star. PT. Bintang Putra Mandiri is a company engaged in the subsidized housing contractor and developer. With the existing problems, we need a system that can help companies to help determine the best supplier. Then produced a system that can help companies by using the TOPSIS method. TOPSIS uses the principle that the chosen alternative must have the shortest distance from the positive ideal solution and the farthest distance from the negative ideal solution from a geometric point of view using the Euclidean distance to determine the relative proximity of an alternative to the optimal solution. As a result, PT. Bintang Putra Mandiri can determine the best supplier precisely. And the TOPSIS method is able to support supplier selection decisions by ranking

Employees are one of the supporting factors for a company, because by having qualified employees, according to the qualifications and criteria needed by the company, then the company can develop and move forward in the future. No exception, PT. Dawam Prima Perkasa who is in need of new employees who are suitable to work in the company. However, PT. Dawam Prima Perkasa is faced with a problem where the large number of prospective employees who take the selection test will cause the number of incoming files to be adjusted to the criteria owned by the company and require a lot of time, making it prone to file errors. To minimize the occurrence of errors and the length of time used, a Decision Support System was created to determine the best prospective employees who will work in the company. The Decision Support System Method used is the Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS). This research has gone through the process of validating the Spearman rank correlation and the value is 0.950. Based on these results, the ARAS method can be used in selecting prospective new employees at PT. Dawam prima Perkasa.

The variants of structural and functional schemes of biogas plants (BP) were investigated to obtain biogas and fertilizers based on the processing of solid organic waste in the agro-industrial complex (AIC). Based on the results of the study of biogas technologies, criteria are proposed for determining the best layout from the expert’s point of view. The systematization of options is given and alternatives are obtained. The method of multicriteria analysis of options based on fuzzy sets was used as a decision-making method. The use of the decision support system to select the best variant of the structural and functional scheme of the biogas plant predetermined the formation of a matrix of paired comparisons of dimension 5x5. To ensure high consistency of preferences associated with the procedure for filling in the matrices of paired comparisons of alternatives according to criteria, the method developed by us has been applied. This reduces the number of inquiries to the decision-maker. The selected structural and functional scheme meets the requirements for the development of typical automation solutions, which contributes to the replication of control systems for the same type of plants.

The recruitment of new employees, especially for housing loan sales employees (KPR) is often carried out by banks because the performance evaluation of KPR sales employees is carried out regularly. The large number of prospective employees and the variety of criteria determined for selecting new employees lead to a lengthy decision-making process. This study examined the problems of calculating the time to create a software product using the example of the company "RKIT" LLC. The article discussed the analysis of the most effective, from the point of view of the authors, methods for assessing the complexity of projects. As a result of the review, the authors suggested to create a decision support system. This system will consist of two blocks: an automated information computing system based on the PERT method and an artificial intelligence system in the form of an expert system, which is a repository of expert knowledge. The creation of a DSS will reduce the time for experts to make decisions and reduce the likelihood of a decrease in the profitability of the project, which will lead to an increase in the company's profit.
