Nowadays, data collection has become an activity inherent in the emergence of any organization. The digital age has enabled the development of mobile data collection apps that are becoming increasingly common around the world. But faced with the growing number of apps offered, Data Managers are often challenged by with the choice of the solution that best suits their case.

This study meets this need by providing clear, precise and verified information on each of the selected solutions. The study presents, analyzes and compares four mobile data collection solutions. To achieve an effective comparison, we first chose to collect and select papers on each of the solutions, and then to install and test each of them by executing a data collection process, all the way from the form creation to the visualization of collected data. The comparison presented in this paper was based on technical aspects but also on other important aspects to help users make a good decision.

We all know that libraries are under pressure to reinvent services and programs to meet the changing demographics and demands of our current and future users as well as to maintain relevancy in the digital age. Shrinking budgets and competition for funding weigh heavily on the minds of all library administrators. Providing outstanding service is at the heart of the library, and, as stated in the introduction to this third edition of a classic favorite on service, “customers are more than a source for data collection; they are the reason for the existence of libraries” (xii).

This chapter aims at presenting and discussing credible online recruitment eliciting techniques targeting scientific purposes adjusted to the digital age. Based on several illustrations conducted by the author within the framework of both quantitative and qualitative inquiries, this chapter critically explores the digital ethos in three main challenges faced when dealing with online recruitment for scientific purposes: entering the normality of the everyday life, entering the idiosyncrasy of multicultural lives, and entering the chaos of busy lives. By the end, a toolbox for establishing and evaluating (dis)credibility within online recruitment strategies is presented. Moreover, it is argued that success of data collection at the present time in online environments seems to rely as ever on internal factors of the communication process vis-à-vis e-mail content, design and related strategies.

In the digital age it is possible for everyone to do anything including documenting moments. One of them is digital camera based on Digital Single Lens Reflex or DSLR. But sometimes the use that is not according to the procedure can cause damage to the camera. As a layman, of course, will be confused with the problems that arise when there is damage and will be more decided to buy a new one or sell it, even though the damaged camera can still be repaired alone or by expert technicians. To solve the problem, an Expert System was created to diagnose damage to the Digital Single Lens Reflex camera. The method used in this research is the method of needs analysis and data collection. The results of this expert system application can diagnose damage to the Digital Single Lens Reflex camera along with alternative solutions. This application can help people to be more sensitive to the condition of their Digital Single Lens Reflex cameras. The design of this application was created with the help of joomla and sublime text.

I have wanted to publish a column on privacy as it relates to library technology for a while. While privacy has always been an issue at the forefront of librarians' minds, revelations surrounding the NSA's far-reaching data-collection programs and a seemingly unending string of high-profile breaches at major companies make paying attention to privacy all the more pressing. Having discovered Alison Macrina's work via an appropriately-titled article "Radical Librarianship: How Ninja Librarians are Ensuring Patrons' Electronic Privacy" she was an obvious choice for author. Her work with the Library Freedom Project is vitally important to the future of libraries and recently earned a Knight Foundation grant.

The development of the hydration stages for electron microscopes has opened up the application of electron diffraction in the study of biological membranes. Membrane specimen can now be observed without the artifacts introduced during drying, fixation and staining. The advantages of the electron diffraction technique, such as the abilities to observe small areas and thin specimens, to image and to screen impurities, to vary the camera length, and to reduce data collection time are fully utilized. Here we report our pioneering work in this area.
