We substantiate the need for the foreign language grammatical competence formation among high school students. We consider personal, meta-subject, subject results of mastering the main educational program “Foreign Language”, reflected in the Federal State Educational Standard of Secondary General Education, the European system of levels of foreign language proficiency. Based on the fact that the result of mastering the basic course of a foreign language is the achievement of a threshold level of proficiency in a foreign language, the main criteria (the speed of individual operations, the number of grammatical constructions used, variability, accuracy) and the levels of formation of foreign language grammatical competence among high school students were determined. We focus on a complex of grammar exercises and tasks aimed at the reproduction, combined with the substitution; the expansion of a speech sample, the transformation and the combination. The topic “Conditional sentences” was chosen for a more accurate description of the complex of exercises and tasks. It is one of the most difficult grammatical topics proposed for study at school. We prove that methodically competently organized work on the foreign language grammatical competence formation among high school students makes the process of teaching foreign language effective and creative.

The article deals with the problem of developing the skill of semantic reading in the fourth-graders in the process of making annotations to works of art. The need to develop the skill of semantic reading is confirmed by the requirements of the federal state educational standard of primary general education. The question of the selection of methodological techniques, exercises, forms and means aimed at developing the semantic reading skills of younger schoolchildren remains relevant. The article analyzes the research of domestic scientists and individual teachers-practitioners on the formation of semantic reading skills and on teaching younger students to make annotations in primary school. The authors found that in these studies, there is no relationship between learning to annotate and the development of semantic reading skills. The purpose of the article is to determine the conditions for the development of semantic reading skills in fourth-graders in the process of writing annotations to works of art. To achieve this goal, a pedagogical study was conducted. As a result of the research, a step-by-step program for teaching children to make annotations to read works and a workbook “Learning to make annotations” were developed and experimentally tested. The theoretical significance of the study is to expand the known ideas about the development of the semantic reading skill of primary school students in the process of purposeful teaching them to compose annotations to works of art.

Statement of the problem. The reform of Russian education, which is in demand by the rapid technical development of all branches of production, is associated with the search for opportunities for appropriate changes in its content and methodological aspects. The general education school requires more and more from a teacher, thus creating a certain tension in terms of the growth of professional deficits among teachers. The purpose of the article is to determine the main approaches to identifying professional deficiencies among mathematics teachers, their structure and causes. Methodology (materials and methods). The research methodology consisted of a competence-based approach as the basis for structuring the professional competencies of a mathematics teacher; a systematic approach as a basis for diagnosing professional deficiencies of a mathematics teacher; Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education in the direction of training “Pedagogical education”, professional standard “Teacher (pedagogical activities in the field of preschool, primary general, basic general, secondary general education)”; module “Discipline training. Mathematics”, the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for the mathematical training of secondary school students. Research results. The composition of professional deficits among mathematics teachers was revealed and substantiated: discipline-wise, methodological and general pedagogical competencies. The main causes for the emergence of professional deficits among mathematics teachers are formulated: shortcomings of professional training at the university; inconsistency of terms in the requirements for professional competence in the Federal State Educational Standards and the Professional Teacher Standard; overestimated requirements of the employer in terms of the workload; insufficient dissemination of experience obtained from individual advanced training of a mathematics teacher. Conclusion. The approach proposed in the article to structuring the professional deficits among mathematics teachers and describing the complex of causes for their occurrence can be extended to the study of professional teacher deficits in other subject areas.
