The research aims to know the uses of university students for smartphones and the achieved gratifications and the impact of its uses on the individual identity. The descriptive approach was used to achieve the goal of the research and the questionnaire tool to collect data through distributing it to a sample (200 students) at Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The results of the research showed that 60% of the sample use the smartphone at a rate of three hours and more daily on a regular basis. The university accounts and friends top the list of accounts that you do not follow, and most of the accounts are in Arabic and mainly Saudi. The research revealed that 87% of female students use the real identity in the virtual world and 12.5% ​​use a pseudonym. Recreational sites attract female students first 78%, followed by scientific sites 53%, then news sites 41%, religious sites 24% in addition to shopping sites and literary and cultural sites. In the ranking of social media, WhatsApp ranked first, followed by Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram and finally YouTube. The research also revealed the awareness of female students of the excessive use that sometimes leads to digital addiction and its physical, psychological and intellectual risks. That is why we recommend media campaigns, awareness- raising workshops and seminars to rationalize the use of smartphones in universities and educational institutions in general.

This study aimed to shed light on the impact of environmental accounting measured in (environmental cost accounting, environmental sustainability, and environmental policies) in industrial enterprises on the economy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To achieve the objectives of the study, the study relied on the descriptive-analytical approach, due to its suitability of the nature of the study, as well as the questionnaire tool was distributed to the study sample using random sample method, where (200) questionnaires were distributed to financial managers working in industrial enterprises in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Jeddah, the final study sample was (96) questionnaires. The results of the study showed that there is an impact of environmental accounting measured by (environmental cost accounting, environmental sustainability, and environmental policies) in industrial companies on the economy, individually and collectively. The study came out with a set of recommendations, the most important of which is the necessity of developing local standards or adopting international standards for environmental disclosure in other sectors in general and the state’s contribution to providing quantifiable environmental data and raising the limitations imposed on companies in particular in order to follow and encourage environmental laws.

The present study aims to identify the Difficulties of Teaching Based On Differentiated Instruction Viewpoint Of Arabic Teachers In Qatif Governorate In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In order to achieve these objectives, a questionnaire was designed, It consisted of (33) items distributed to five Domains. It was distributed to the study Sample wish was formed from (172) Arabic teachers chosen randomly from all study phases. The study found that the whole mean of Difficulties of Teaching Based On Differentiated Instruction Viewpoint Of Arabic Teachers In Qatif Governorate was (3.60). At the domains level: The difficulties of the environment of the school was the first with a mean (3.97), then the difficulties of a teacher with a mean (3.73).Booth with a high degree of difficulty. Difficulties of Curriculum was the third with a mean of (3.58), Then The difficulties of Administrative Regulation with a mean of (3.43), Finally The difficulties of Students with a mean of (3.28). All final three domains with a Medium degree of difficulty. The study also found that there were no significant differences between the average of these answers at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) due to the impact study phase. Based on these results The researcher recommended to train teachers and supply schools with suitable facilities and materials to teach the Arabic language based on Differentiated Instruction.

The traffic accidents in the high ways and towns are still increasing, their effect on the community development clearly seen. The control of this problem is highly significant. The analysis of the data and the information about the traffic accidents, their direct, indirect, a variables and continues cost represented in curing the injured, paying the Diya, the cost of the medical operations on behalf of the government and the relatives of the injured dealt with through the accounting view. This paper aimed at measuring the effect of traffic accidents in terms of money, to be use for the development of Accer province – South of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The overall cost of the traffic accidents in 2013 is 23 pillions Riyal. The percentage of the injured is 30% per family. The cost account of traffic accidents in Accer province is 1. 6 pillions Riyal. These sums of money could have been use for the development of the province. The paper recommends The direct, indirect, a variables and continues costs of the traffic accidents should give a due consideration The traffic administration should give a due consideration as well, to be minimizing the number of the traffic accidents. There should be decisive practical measures to stop these accidents.

ABSTRACT The study aims to shed light on the reality of empowering the female students regarding the activities, the extent of engagement, their autonomy, and the academic development among them. In addition, it reveals the empowering requirements from the perspective of the activities’ leadership. The study used the analytical descriptive method, and the tools of the study, and analysed the documents, the questionnaire form and the meetings with the university leaderships. Empowering the female students’ rate for the activities was fifty percent. The cultural activities represented the rate of thirty to forty percent and the social activities represented the rate of 28.38 percent. Secondly, the meetings results showed that the female students are empowered for the activities, which fit their nature and identity. First, they had the rate of 17.14 percent, and the first impediments rated 11.19 percent. Regrading unempowering the female students for the activities, there was no enough number for the competitions. The major requirements for empowering the activities and providing the activities according to the requirements of the female students, their desires and attitudes had the rate of 17.14 percent. The questionnaire showed that the factor of autonomy and assessment rated mathematical average of 1.90 out of 3. It came after the academic development factor, with general mathematical average of 2.18 out of 3. As for the factor of the activities and their fittings, it had the general mathematical average of 1.93 out of 3.

In March 2020, the higher-education community faced one of its largest disruptions to date with the COVID-19 pandemic forcing campuses to close their doors to thousands of students. The university-wide closures prompted a collaboration between researchers and college administrators to assess the impact of COVID-19 on First-Generation College Students (FGCS). The team surveyed 659 FGCS across five U.S. universities to assess the ways in which the pandemic exacerbated already existing inequalities students faced in their persistence to graduate from college. The team used the social cognitive career theory as a conceptual framework for analysis. Our findings revealed that when respondents compared their life before COVID-19 with their present state, FGCS were less likely to perceive they had enough money to return to college, felt overwhelmed and lonely by added stress, and were more likely to see an increase in family responsibilities.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to empirically investigate the impact of the contextual antecedents on the individual entrepreneurial orientation (IEO) of university graduates, which, in turn, affects their entrepreneurial intentions (EIs). Design/methodology/approach Primary data were collected in the form of 510 valid responses from engineering students across two technical universities in India, through a structured questionnaire consisting of scales adapted from the extant literature, and the data were empirically validated in this study. The reliability and validity measures of the constructs were validated through the confirmatory factor analysis, and the proposed hypotheses were validated using structural equation modelling. Findings The results of this empirical analysis validate that the contextual antecedents have a significant positive impact on students’ entrepreneurial orientation (EO), which, in turn, has a significant positive influence on EIs. Research limitations/implications This analysis depicts the significance of EO as a perceptual driver at the individual level and substantiates that the availability of resources such as startup capital, access to business information, social networks and supportive university context significantly affects the decision-making process of an individual to venture into an otherwise uncertain occupation of entrepreneurship. Practical implications The study has the likely potential to help university administrators and policymakers to allocate resources, develop strategies and provide effective entrepreneurial learning in entrepreneurship-oriented courses aimed at honing entrepreneurial skills and self-confidence of the university students. This holistic model can be used as a tool for resource planning and prioritising in order to provide the desired contextual support essential for fostering the IEO of the university students towards adopting entrepreneurial career, thereby assisting them to achieve their career goals and the broader objective of nation-building. Originality/value This study adopts an innovative approach to empirically validate the EO construct at the individual level, which has been studied at the organisation (firm) level till today. This research explores the relevant contextual antecedents and analyses their impact on IEO as well as the explanatory capacity of IEO to explain students’ EIs in the contextual backdrop of universities in a fast transitioning economy like India.

This study deals with the use of remote sensing (RS), geographic information systems (GISs), hydrologic modeling (water modeling system, WMS), and hydraulic modeling (Hydrologic Engineering Center River Analysis System, HEC-RAS) to evaluate the impact of flash flood hazards on the sustainable urban development of Tabuk City, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Determining the impact of flood hazards on the urban area and developing alternatives for protection and prevention measures were the main aims of this work. Tabuk City is exposed to frequent flash flooding due to its location along the outlets of five major wadis. These wadis frequently carry flash floods, seriously impacting the urban areas of the city. WMS and HEC-HMS models and RS data were used to determine the paths and morphological characteristics of the wadis, the hydrographic flow of different drainage basins, flow rates and volumes, and the expansion of agricultural and urban areas from 1998 to 2018. Finally, hydraulic modeling of the HEC-RAS program was applied to delineate the urban areas that could be inundated with floodwater. Ultimately, the most suitable remedial measures are proposed to protect the future sustainable urban development of Tabuk City from flood hazards. This approach is rarely used in the KSA. We propose a novel method that could help decision-makers and planners in determining inundated flood zones before planning future urban and agricultural development in the KSA.
