  The aim of the study was to learn about the use of augmented reality technology to understand and develop geographical phenomena from the point of view of social studies teachers. To achieve the objectives of the study the researchers have used a descriptive approach. An augmented reality questionnaire was applied using the augmented reality technology on a random sample consisting of sixty-six participants all of them are social studies teachers of both genders from Al-qunfudhah province, and in order to calculate the degree of use of augmented reality which was used by social studies teachers the arithmetic averages were used. The study presents the following results: The degree of reality in the use of augmented reality that social studies teachers have been used in Al-qunfudhah province, came in a high degree but close to average with an average arithmetic 2.09. As well as the degree of impediments in the use of augmented reality came in a high degree with an average arithmetic 2.40. In the light of the findings of the study researchers have recommended to stress the importance of the use of augmented reality technology in teaching and the need for drawing the attention of the ministry of education's officials to encourage and urge the teachers to use it,building computer-based educational programs based on augmented reality technology,work on overcoming the impediments that limits the use of augmented reality and its impact on both teaching and learning process.Besides achieving positive outcomes through using it.

The present study aimed to reveal the challenges that face female teachers in the second field in applying one of the techniques of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (augmented reality). The study included teachers in the second field of schools in the South Sharqiyah Governorate, and the study relied on the descriptive survey approach in obtaining information, and the questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data using Google Forms. The study sample, which was chosen randomly, consisted of 196 teachers. The results of the study showed the existence of organizational challenges. On the other hand, the material and technical challenges came with a very high degree to apply (augmented reality) technology. In light of the results, the study recommends the need to guide the teacher using Techniques of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Augmented Reality) by building curricula that support the employment of technology, preparing schools with devices and the Internet to keep pace with modern technologies, and developing the performance of second field teachers by attaching They are taking intensive training courses on the techniques of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Augmented Reality).

The aim of this study is to reveal the experiences of social studies teachers and prospective teachers in developing augmented reality applications and their views on the use of this technology in social studies teaching. The sample of the study consists of 60 people, including a total that 30 social studies teachers working in different cities of Turkey and 30 prospective teachers studying in the social studies education departments of 10 different universities. The data obtained by the questionnaire were analyzed by descriptive statistical methods. As a result of the research, participants evaluated the use of augmented reality technology in social studies teaching as innovative, flexible, effective, entertaining and interesting. It was stated that the use of augmented reality applications in social studies courses would create an effective learning environment and multimedia teaching. They also stated that some limitation factors such as accessing the internet, connection speed and providing class discipline in the use of augmented reality applications in the classroom.

This chapter discusses the impact of using social media resources and new emerging technologies in teaching and learning processes. The authors of this chapter focus on Spanish architecture-education framework by analyzing three case studies carried out by students finishing architecture and building degrees. Students’ interaction with this resources is assessed, as well as their derived academic results, and the degree of satisfaction from students and teachers using these resources and technologies. To conduct the study, the authors worked with Web based freeware applications, such as Dropbox, blogging systems, Moodle, YouTube, Wikipedia, and Google Maps. Mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets PCs, were used to test QR-Codes (Quick Response Codes) and Augmented Reality technology based applications as Junaio and Ar-Media Plugin.

Augmented reality is increasingly used in education and its further spread is predicted as one of the technological trends. The benefits of using augmented reality are contributing to the increasing use of augmented reality in education. The purpose of the research is to study the use of augmented reality technology in teaching. The article provides the overview of the development of augmented reality and presents the results of a survey of teachers who attended the advanced training course. According to the results of the survey, the readiness of teachers to use this technology and the feasibility of its use in various methods and forms of training organization were determined. A special feature of the use of augmented reality in education is its accessibility and ease of use of ready-made mobile applications and services.
