  The study aimed to find out the role of electronic management in improving administrative work in government schools in Buraimi Region and Al Dhahirah Region in Oman based on principals and their deputies' perspectives. The descriptive analytical design was used to analyse the data and answer the questions of the study. Researchers developed a questionnaire consisting of (55) items which were divided into two parts: availability of electronic management requirements, and administrative work. The sample consisted of (111) school principals and their deputies. The outcomes showed that the degree of availability of requirements for the application of electronic in public schools in both regions was on the average (medium) level (3.28 out of 5). More specifically, the outcomes revealed that the availability of materialistic requirements has got (3.55) which is considered 'high'. |Second, human and technical requirements have got (3.36); and thirdly, rules and regulations have got (3.16). Finally, the financial requirements have got an average level of (2.98). The outcomes have also shown that the electronic management has a role in improving administrative work with an average level (4.01) which is considered high. In terms of the fields in this part, the organization has got the highest average (4.11); planning has got an average of (4.01); supervision has got an average of (3.98); directions have got an average of (3.97); and finally, the decision-making has got an average of (3.94). In addition, the findings indicated that there is no statistically significant difference between the average responses of the study sample about the role of electronic management in improving administrative work due to the 'years of experience' variable. The study recommended allocating an appropriate budget for public schools in Oman to provide the necessary requirements (computers) and maintenance to apply electronic management effectively.

This study aims at identifying the role of school administration in developing creativity and its obstacles as perceived by school principals in government schools in the directorate of University District. This may be attributed to variables of gender, academic qualification, years of experience, and school level. The researcher has used the descriptive analytical method through employing the use of a questionnaire. This questionnaire has been made of 36 sections. 28 sections were designed to identify the role of school administration in developing creativity in the government schools in the directorate of the university district, and 8 to identify the obstacles that face the school’s administration. A sample of 55 male and female principals in government schools in the directorate of the university district have been chosen for the academic year 2019/2020. The results of the study showed that the application of creativity by the school principals in government schools have an overall average of (3.5 out of 5), which is rated as high. For the other two main areas, the administration one resulted with an average of (4.03) with a high rate, and for the obstacles area it resulted with (3.68) and was rated as large obstacles. It also has shown that there were no statistically significant differences in the role of school administration in developing creativity in government schools, which might be attributed to variables of academic qualification, years of experience, and school’s level. However, there was a significant difference attributed to the gender variable, and it was in the favor of females. Based on those results, the researcher suggested a number of recommendations for developing creativity and limiting its obstacles at Jordanian Schools and other Arab countries.

PurposeThe aim of this research is to examine the public leadership (PL) behaviors of principals working in public schools and its effect on teacher motivation (M) and job satisfaction (JS). Moreover, the mediating role of JS in the relationship between PL and M is also explored.Design/methodology/approachThis research is quantitative and designed in relational survey model conducted with 327 teachers working in Siirt/Turkey in 2020. In the research, Public Leadership Scale, Teacher Motivation Scale and Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire were used. Descriptive analyses were used in data analysis. Moreover, mediating role of job satisfaction between public leadership and teacher motivation was tested.FindingsAccording to the results, the public leadership behaviors of school principals, motivation and job satisfaction of teachers are high according to teacher opinions. Additionally, public leadership behaviors of school principals have an effect on teacher motivation and job satisfaction. On the other hand, this study found a negative effect between public leadership and motivation when the effect of job satisfaction is controlled. The possible reasons for this situation were discussed in term of cultural differences.Practical implicationsThe results of this study imply that the leadership behaviors of school principals have cultural elements. Future research should be careful in measuring the political loyalty dimension of the public leadership and should take cultural element into consideration.Originality/valueAlthough there are many types of leadership, the type of leadership differs depending on the purpose of the organization, environmental conditions and culture. The lifestyle of the society, current developments and the structure of the organization are effective in interpreting the leadership needed in the organization. When looking at the models created about leadership in organizations, the effect of this type of leadership on organizational behavior is generally tried to be explained. This is also the case for motivation or job satisfaction. Therefore, this study also focuses on the effect of public leadership in explaining the job satisfaction and motivation of employees in educational organizations. However, another distinctive aspect of this research is that the cultural structure of the society is emphasized in the model to be created.

The main of this study is to identify the motivation for using social media among grade (11-12) school students at Al-Buraimi governorate in Oman through the following variables (class, gender, time, type of media mostly visited & the purpose of using the site). Among sample (240 male & female) students, who were distributed into 13 different schools from Al-Buraimi, mahdah & as-sunaynah. A questionnaire of motivation for using Social Media has been used. The sample percentage was 13% of the whole population target. The results showed that there are no statistical differences between grade 11 and grade 12 students in using social media. In addition, there is no significant difference in (gender) in using social media. Also, the study revealed that the most highlighted usage of social media amongst the study sample was for exploring the public culture. While the results showed that the number (155) of the study sample, which means (60%), they are using social media according to the available conditions. (47.9%) percentage of the sample was on social media about (1-3 hours). The most popular site was Instagram. The study recommended activating the role of the school administration, teacher & social worker in the school for helping students to take the benefit from social media & address the negative aspects of these means through school radio, lectures, seminars, scientific journals & etc.

To help promote a culture of innovation, the Ministry of Education andthe Ministry of Science, Technology, and Telecommunication of Costa Rica estab-lished a national executive decree requiring all public schools in the country partic-ipate in the National Program of Science and Technology Fairs (NPSTF). This casestudy examines the role of five elementary school principals in Costa Rica in implementing and preparing their schools for the NPSTF initiative. Principals played threesignificant roles: the motivator of teachers and students; acquirer of NPSTF resources;and the organizer of NPSTF committees and coalitions to help train and finance theinitiative. It is recommended the Ministry of Education establish a budget solely ded-icated to support infrastructure and professional development for NPSTF while aligning goals with all stakeholders.

The present study aims to explore the future role of vocational education teachers in the professional learning communities in public schools from the perspective of principals and academic supervisors in Jordan. The sample consists from 91 principals and academic supervisors. Those principals and academic supervisors were selected from the public schools that are under the supervision of Bani Obeid Directorate of Education in Irbid, Jordan. The present study was conducted during the academic year (2019/2020). A descriptive approach is adopted by the researcher. The researcher developed a questionnaire that consists from 25 items. He measured the validity and reliability of the questionnaire. It was found that principals and academic supervisors have positive attitudes towards the future role of vocational education teachers in the professional learning communities in public schools. It was found that there isn’t any significant difference between the respondents’ attitudes which can be attributed to their experience or academic qualification. The researcher recommends creating vocational training departments in public schools

The current study aimed at identifying the Leadership Styles of Schools Principals and Their Effect in the Organizational Commitment of Teachers in Kuwait public schools. The researcher has applied the Relational Descriptive Approach because it suits the objectives of the current study, and the study tool consisted of a questionnaire fir data collection. The sample of the current study consisted of 383)) teachers from Kuwaiti public schools. The study found that the Leadership Styles of Schools Principals in Kuwaiti public schools were of medium-level, as they scored a mean of (3.62 out of 5.00.) At the level of the axis of styles, the democratic style has ranked first with a mean of 3.98)). The easy principal has ranked second with a mean of 3.70)), and these two styles were of a high level. The autocratic style has ranked third with a mean of 3.19) ) which is of medium level. The results of the study showed that the organizational commitment has scored a mean of (3.85 out of 5.00  )with a high level. The results showed that there was a statistically significant effect at the level of significance (α≤0.05) of the degree of the Leadership Styles of Schools Principals and Their Effect in the Organizational Commitment of Teachers which amounted 94.8%)), which means that it is (high and strong). The study recommended increasing the awareness of school principals about of Leadership Styles, and how to apply and exercise them within the educational institution.

    The study aimed at revealing the role of the principals of public schools in developing students' awareness of environmental education in Ajloun Governorate. The researcher used the descriptive approach. To achieve the goal of the study، the researcher constructed a questionnaire and distributed it to a random sample of 168 managers and directors. The role of public school principals in developing students' awareness of environmental education in Ajloun Governorate is estimated at (high)، with an average of 3.67 (5). In terms of the dimensions of the study، the following is the cognitive field، with an average of (3.79). (3.88)، and the affective area with an average of (4.14)، all of which are rated (high). The results also showed no significant differences at the level of significance between the role of government principals in developing students' Ajloun Governorate، due to gender variable. In the light of the results، a number of recommendations and proposals were presented to raise the role of managers in developing students' awareness of environmental education   ، ،

Previous studies show divided views on how female-school-leadership styles differ from their male counterparts in both public and private schools. This survey designed research employed a structured questionnaire to collect data from one hundred (120) headteachers (63 male, 57 female) about their leadership styles practices from elementary schools of the Baltistan region. Schools were selected through stratified (public/private) random sampling from the four districts of Baltistan. Both descriptive and inferential statistical tools were used to analyze data. A statistically significant difference between male (M= 3.131, SD = .896) and females (Mean = 3.667, SD=.922) was found with respect to situational leadership only. Public schools principals practiced more autocratic styles as compared to private school principals. Female school principals were more democratic in both private as well as public schools than male principals. Situational leadership styles were more in practice across gender and the school system.

The study aimed to explore head teachers’ perceptions regarding their role in educational and administrative decision making in schools at secondary level. The role of head teacher in school administration is very important thus the researchers tend to study head teachers’ perceptions regarding their role in such matters. In Pakistan public schools are administered through a strong hierarchal administrative system but the head teachers are responsible for day to day matters so it is important to study their perceived role in administration. Quantitative research method was used and survey research technique was applied to collect the data. Self-reported questionnaire was used as a tool of data collection. Multi stage sampling technique was used and sample was selected conveniently. Mean score for each statement was calculated and t test was applied to find out the difference in perception on the basis of different demographical variables. No significant difference was found in the head teachers’ perceptions regarding their role.
