The modern economy with all the variety of its structural elements, which every year is increasingly immersed in a hyper-connected digital space, new conditions of institutional functioning caused by both a change in technological patterns and innovative forms of thinking, needs to adjust the basic, established principles and models of economic growth. If earlier the material productive factors was played a key role, today their importance is to some extent offset by the increasing role of non-material factors of production, the most important of which should include reputation capital. The purpose of the article is to comprehend and theoretically support this scientific problem. The need to revise some principles of building models of economic dynamics and strategic management of the region based on the use and revision of structural, logical and evolutionary views on the construction of this process is substantiated in the article. Based on the results of systematization of the evolution of methodological approaches to assessing the effectiveness of regional socio-economic development of territories / regions, the position is substantiated, according to which, in modern economic conditions, the effectiveness of territorial development should be based on research and strengthening of reputation capital.

The article presents the main results of a study of cryptocurrency as a financial instrument of the future from the standpoint of various methodological approaches aimed at identifying trends in its functioning within the framework of the theory and practice of monetary circulation. The fundamental hypothesis of the study is the prospect of introducing cryptocurrency as a legitimate means of payment to replace the classical forms of money in the context of the transformation of the world economy. This study and its results will contribute to solving a global scientific problem – the formation of a scientifically grounded theoretical and statistical base in the context of the specifics of cryptocurrency’s functioning and the possibility of its functioning as a legitimate means of payment in the modern economy. The relevance of the article is determined by the need to reassess the existing monetary system along with financial mechanisms and operating institutions in view of the emerging crisis of confidence in the current system of state regulation of the economy. The scientific novelty of the article is determined by the development of modern economic theory from the standpoint of the functioning of cryptocurrency as a component of monetary circulation via approaches that study cryptocurrency as an alternative to outdated financial mechanisms. This work opens up an opportunity for further research in the field of cryptocurrency relations, its further improvement and implementation in the national financial system.

The monograph “Mesoeconomics: Elements of a new paradigm”, prepared by the collective of Russian and foreign scientists, reveals the stages and genesis’s internal logic of one of the most promising areas of modern economic science — mesoeconomics. This article identifies the empirical, managerial, theoretical, and system-wide foundations for the need for mesoeconomics to arise as an independent discipline. The importance of the economy’s mesolevel for the transition to the trajectory of the sustainable evolutionary growth of Russia is emphasized. It is proposed to institutionalize the belonging of economic objects to the economy’s mesolevel, introducing the status of a “mesoeconomic organization” for them. It is a prerequisite for separating mesoeconomic formations from microeconomic objects and macroeconomic systems. This status allows introducing special tax regimes, facilitating access to state orders, while strengthening the social responsibility of the mesoeconomic organization to the state, business, economy, and society. The role of the Center for Evolutionary Economics of the Institute of Economics, RAS as the “assembly point” of modern research in the field of mesoeconomics is emphasized.

The article considers the economic essence and terminological interpretation of the concept of “banking sector”. Scientific approaches to the consideration of the essence of this concept are investigated. The own definition of the “banking sector” as a system that has certain specific functions and consists of many banking institutions is proposed. The role of banking institutions in the modern economy is substantiated.The role of the principles of forming an effective structure of the banking sector in its functioning is highlighted. The socio-economic efficiency of the banking sector is determined. The author identified various types of connections that arise in the banking sector between its structural elements. The article analyzes the economic system as the object of the constitutional legal science, the methodological approaches of this study. The author substantiates the conclusions that: 1) the economic system as a category of economic science is broader in content than the economic system within the constitutional and legal consideration, since the latter includes only items that are of constitutional significance; 2) its structural elements are the subjects of economic resources, institutions, and economic relations; 3) the state occupies a special position among the subjects economic system, because it simultaneously acts as a regulator of economic relations, and the role of the economic entity and irrespective of their role, always has a single constitutional-legal purposes in the economic system.
