The article is dedicated to pointing out the main principles of choosing modern enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for highly technological domestic enterprises. The article provides criteria for choosing ERP system and the risk group for their implementation. The close dependence of the success of the implementation of ERP systems on the proportion of projects for which the budget has not been exceeded has been revealed; the share of projects for which the excess of the actual period over the planned period of the project occurred and the share of implementation of solutions of the “box” type. The authors conclude that it is necessary to develop an information system that meets the specifics of a particular enterprise, as well as careful planning for the timing and cost of implementing this system.

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems have been implemented in most organizations for few years. But most of the organizations cannot really expose promised benefits of ERP systems. One of the reasons might be ERP users who do not accepted and use ERP system properly. In IT/IS literature organizational users have been exposed as important factor, which has influence on IT/IS acceptance and usage. Technology acceptance model (TAM) proposed by Davis (1989) has been most widely used model for researching user acceptance and usage of IT/IS. While this research is not the first attempt to apply TAM to ERP context, the authors of this chapter aim to make more contributions to the topic. First, they focus on the ERP system use in routine (mature) stage, and because of that, they use construct extended use instead of actual use. In the latest research of ERP system usage, the relationship between work compatibility and usefulness has been examined. New relationships between work compatibility and attitude toward using ERP system have been added. In all TAM studies regarding ERP context, a small number of external factors have been researched. The groups of external factors that have influence on ERP extended usage have been researched. The proposed model has been empirically tested using data collected from a survey of 293 ERP users in 44 organizations across country.

The subject of the research is the enterprise resource planning system. During the research, a conceptual research method was used to develop a master plan for the implementation of the S–ERP system. It was found that ERP systems provide broad benefits and opportunities for the entire organization, support the organization in the exchange and transfer of information between all functions and departments, and help achieve the goals and objectives of the organization.

In the context that the use of enterprise resource planning (ERP) system becomes more and more popular, this study seeks to investigate the relationship between task-technology fit (TTF) and job satisfaction to provide an additional evidence for evaluating the success of ERP application. Data was collected from a survey on 225 users of ERP systems in enterprises in Vietnam. The results from PLS analysis revealed that TTF is positively correlated with job satisfaction in an ERP environment. This study provides empirical evidence for the application of background theories including TTF and information systems success by DeLone and McLean. In addition, the results also added to the literature the success of ERP, in particular the job satisfaction of ERP users. On the basis of these results, businesses can plan to apply ERP to increase the job satisfaction, thereby increasing the likelihood of success in ERP application. At the same time, ERP vendors and implementers can provide better advice and support for their customers.

This article focuses on engineers at an organization that may rely on its product lifecycle management software to speed a product to market. The system gives engineers a way to talk among themselves over a network as they work out product details and hash over design changes. Equally important to a fast-paced manufacturer is an enterprise resource planning system, which manages the operational, planning, and control side of the organization. As costs come down, smaller companies, often the suppliers to the big ones, are also finding it worthwhile to undergo the expense and transition to install enterprise management software and to wed their engineering and manufacturing systems. Manufacturers can usually expect installations of extensive systems to cost a sizable portion of their information technology budgets. An enterprise planning system can be time-consuming to implement and the training period long. Following a two-year company-wide evaluation, Anchor Lamina executives decided to re-engineer front-end processes. They specifically sought estimating, computer-aided manufacturing, and design technology that could be easily integrated with the company’s ERP system.

Gig economy has played a significant role in the country's economic development and has led to the growth in the employment of the people worldwide by supplementing the primary income of the people. With the security and autonomy that the gig sector promises, people choose to work as gig workers rather than traditional workers. Almost every company uses an enterprise resource planning system (ERPs) to some extent or the other to improve its performance and competitiveness. This paper devises a conceptual model describing how ERP systems help improve the human resource management of the gig workers, maintain customer relations, and bring digital transformation to its business. The research model would provide an understanding of diagnosing how the ERP system can help improve the conditions of the gig workers and the potential problems faced by them in the areas where the ERP system is not working efficiently. The framework would provide insights in simplifying the implementation of ERP in the gig sector that would be useful in the future.

Enterprise Resource Planning system allows the various business departments, differentiated by various places or utilities or services provided, to mobilize vital information which helps them to in an integrated single system. Suppose we consider an ERP unit that enables flawless flow of information among its continuous system of a producing process, like spare parts buyer’s facility, parts storehouse owned by producer, and producing and arranging unit. ERP allows us real time information transfer among various systems so as to maintain that the producing house has the required supply of necessary parts to ensure seamless working because of inadequate supply while also overcoming the problem of oversupply of parts. Artificial Intelligence can be used along with ERP systems. Such AI-enabled ERP systems not only provide benefit to single application only but also put a major impact which is more than the sum of individual parts. The various amounts of benefits of using AI-based ERP system, which basically comes from the majorly three features:Minimize data entryIntelligent data processingIntegrated data analytics

Successful implementation of ERP systems should take full advantage of the access to information, but not be constrained by many of the deficiencies associated with infinite capacity scheduling methodologies. In this paper an algorithm is developed which improves the performance of the ERP system. Lot sizing decisions based on capacity availability are used as an instrument to integrate more effectively capacity requirements planning (CRP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP). MRP is a planning tool for a sub-set of manufacturing system specially in hierarchal multi-product, multi-period and multi-stage production planning and inventory control system. The Vehicle used for this integration is planned order release (POR) quantity. The algorithm requires minimal deviation from the MRP logic. In this sequential process MRP first issues the action notices and then the algorithm analyses the capacity situation in the work centers. The algorithm scans all planned order release quantities of lower level items in the action bucket before orders are released to the shop. For each item a delta value is computed identifying the degree orders are contributing to capacity problems. This delta is specific to each POR. The POR causing the highest overload and the one passing through the lowest utilized work centers are selected for a lot size decrease, respectively, an increase. After identifying the candidates, a series of checks analyses the suitability of the candidates for that change. The planned order release quantities of more items can be performed. Projected capacity profile after iteration will be updated and capacity requirements over a short duration are smoothed. The experiments are performed with MAP/3000 as a simulation model for this study. The developed algorithm is added to MAP/3000 as additional subroutines. The design of the experiments consists of a base test identifying the significance of different environmental parameters of MRP systems and a main test which performs a detailed evaluation. The results are evaluated using analysis of variance techniques. Most ERP systems built on the historical development of MRP and CRP systems, and the assumption of infinite capacity is affecting the performance of those systems badly. This paper is presenting an algorithm to smooth capacity problems by using the existed capacity.
