The concept of the sharing economy is spreading all over the world. From car rides to home sharing to tool rentals, the sharing economy offers all this and much more. Its business models are mediated through digital platforms that allow for a more accurate real-time measurement of spare capacities and can dynamically connect these capacities to those who need them; an example of such platform is Airbnb. Currently, international tourism has been completely paralyzed, and tourists around the world have been canceling their reservations. As of mid-March 2020, this applies to all customers worldwide. Property owners thus lost their sources of income for the coming weeks and the effects have been especially harsh for landlords using the Airbnb portal. In Czech Republic, most landlords using the Airbnb platform are in Bratislava, where less than a thousand properties are on offer. In other cities, the rental offer is more restricted. This research paper examinesthe impact of Covid-19 on occupancy of vacation rentals offered via Airbnb, by comparing and analyzing the expected and actual numbers of guests. The introduction outlines the theoretical approaches to the sharing economy and the way the Airbnb platform works. In the methodology section, a one-way ANOVA is described and applied. The results are followed by comparison of expectations and reality, discussion, and conclusions.

Theoretical and practical aspects of the formation and development of common economy in the world and Ukraine are considered and the economic nature of the line economy is substantiated and its socio-economic content is deepened through the prism of digital transformation that takes place in virtual reality. Purpose of the article is to substantiate the peculiarities of sharing economy in the global communication space in virtual reality, due to the development of digital technology platforms, highlighting and analyzing the benefits and risks of building business models of shared economy in Ukraine and abroad. A set of methods of empirical and theoretical research is used: methods of analysis, synthesis and generalization, which at the dialectical level of research allow to scientifically substantiate the most popular types of solutions of sharing economy, presented by structure: solutions, examples of foreign and Ukrainian digital platforms. The article used theoretical and methodological principles of an interdisciplinary approach, which includes in the analysis of socio-cultural, behavioral and institutional prerequisites for the formation of a shared economy. Based on the available data of companies that aggregate BigData, as well as consulting companies, the behavior of consumers through sharing economy in the period of digital transformation is described. Special methods of economic sciences, namely: economic-statistical, comparative and functional-structural analysis have revealed the emergence of new business models of sharing, which combine the “world of goods” and “world of services”. A historical and economic analysis of the formation of the theory of sharing, as well as the spread of row platforms. Based on the generalization of theoretical approaches to the definition of economic categories, author’s interpretation of the concepts “line economy”, “virtual reality”, “augmented reality”, “augmented reality”, “augmented reality”, “augmented reality”, “mixed reality” is formed. As a result of the research, author’s concept of sharing economy in the conditions of virtual reality is offered. It is established that the most important factor in the transition to sharing economy is the transformation of customer service. It is the customer, who differs from the consumer by active involvement in the process of forming its value proposition, today is a key player in the market. It is proved that today digital economy is fundamentally changing the ways of building and managing sharing organizations, the problems that arise can be associated primarily with changes in the object and subject of management and the development of organizations in digital environment. The advantages of sharing models in terms of the use of innovative resources in terms of stages of business project implementation are indicated. The review of the internal development of national economy of sharing type allowed to present its restraining and stimulating factors and potential opportunities and threats in the conditions of virtual reality.

People today are more willing to spend money on travel than ever before. Because of new possibilities, traveling is easier and travelers can choose options quicker for immediate travel. Today, their decisions are influenced by the use of mobile applications in tourism, which can help with finding accommodation the world over. Travelers do not need to check special hotels in a chosen destination and compare prices to find the most suitable or cheapest option. Mobile applications in tourism can do that for them, making traveling much simpler. The aim of this paper is to describe trends in tourism in Slovakia. The first part of the paper contains a general framework of digital platforms and the second part describes the current situation of tourism in Slovakia compared with that in the Czech Republic. The paper highlights attitudinal differences between countries regarding the use of mobile applications in tourism. The final part of the paper contains research about new customs of Slovaks in tourism.

Traditional labour relationships have been disrupted due to the digital platforms based businesses. This article aims on the one hand to share the consequences the sharing economy has generated for workers, and how MONDRAGON’s principles as one of the best examples of worker owned business group in the world, can be applied within the new digital era. On the other hand, this paper provides a literature review on how digital platforms can operate with fairer principles based on the framework that platform coops consist of. Last but not least, Mondragon University and The New School have set up a capacity building program on team entrepreneurship and an online incubation program that aims to support the creation of platform coops, whose results after two editions and future opportunities for research are shared.

Literature describing the notion and practice of business models has grown considerably over the last few years. Innovative business models appear in every sector of the economy challenging traditional ways of creating and capturing value. However, research describing the theoretical foundations of the field is scarce and many questions still remain. This article examines business models promoting various aspects of sustainable development and tests the explanatory power of two theoretical approaches, namely the resource based view of the firm and transaction cost theory regarding their emergence and successful market performance. Through the examples of industrial ecology and the sharing economy the author shows that a sharp reduction of transaction costs (e.g. in the form of internet based systems) coupled with resources widely available but not utilised before may result in fast growing new markets. This research also provides evidence regarding the notion that these two theoretical approaches can complement each other in explaining corporate behaviour.

Purpose This study aims to investigate how digital entrepreneurs develop platforms business models under an unregulated market and what approach they take to address informal economy (IE) activities. Design/methodology/approach The author used a qualitative method by interviewing sixteen respondents, including founders, Chief Executive Officers, and managers of digital-driven start-ups in Indonesia. I then analysed the interviews into several codes and themes for further discussion. Findings This study reveals distinctive approaches performed by startups within three-level institutions, namely, users, market and regulation. Each level represents digital entrepreneurs’ unique behaviour, which the author described as collective, narrative and compliant. Research limitations/implications This paper demonstrates that digital entrepreneurs leveraging informal sectors contribute to the process of formalisation. However, the author emphasise less on how it impacts informality and who receives incentives. Practical implications This study suggests appropriate strategies for entrepreneurs who build and develop a platform beyond immature setting and unveils different directions to comprehend their legitimacy building. Social implications This study also elucidates political implications such as how the dynamics between regulators’ response and entrepreneurs’ reaction shape the new regulative environment. An idea of self-regulate – entrepreneurs as actors instead of a subject of regulation – might be suitable to reflect how they overcome the bottom of the pyramid using technology innovation. Originality/value While previous studies focused primarily on sharing economy, this study provides a different array of discussion on the digitalisation of the informal economy in emerging markets.

First technological process, which ceramic producers of ceramic products use for their future ceramic product is mining process. Mining methods, Transport methods and processing methods are basic technological processes. The process of drying, firing and shaping of brick products are specific. Babylonian gardens, Hagia Sofia, are one of the most beautiful churches that has ever been built. The great Wall of China, medieval castle Malbork from northern Poland not far from Gdansk`s bay which resembles small town, Skyscraper Chrysler Building in New York are the outstanding brick creations in the world. All of these buildings have one thing in common and that is material from which they were built. The material is brick, one of the simplest, the most beautiful, the most universal and the oldest building product which is known for moreover than 10 000 years [1]. Brick association of Czech and Moravia, nowadays unites 6 regular members with 19 plants where are created fired building materials. Furthermore it unites 7 associated members who ensure various services for brickmakers and 7 honorary members. Producers, members of brick association represent 92 % of Mason material capacity in the Czech Republic and 100 % of fired roofing tile capacity.

World trade underwent a significant shock within the recent years, which caused a decline in the world economy primarily in the year 2009. Within the following years (2010 and 2011), the high rate of growth from the years preceding the crisis could not be restored. The crisis had an impact on all segments of the merchandise trade, whereby the trade in agricultural and food products was affected the least by the crisis. In the case of the Czech Republic, the crisis of the global and national economy was reflected in the case of agricultural trade primarily by the way of a decline in the rate of the growth of export, which was very high in the period prior to the crisis. As far as the territorial structure and commodity structure of agricultural trade is concerned, their development in the years 2008–2011 was not affected in any largely significant manner. In relation to the main objective of this article, which was to identify the effects of the crisis on the competitiveness of Czech agricultural trade, it may be stated that the crisis itself did not worsen the competitiveness of agricultural trade in any significant manner.

This article wants to introduce modular green roof systems and their usage in the world as well as in the Czech Republic, because green roofs are now used more than they have been constructed in any era in the history. Their construction is almost same as it was in previous centuries, so the obvious solution for their improvement is in the construction of themselves. Especially in the improvement of their construction time which should be lower with usage of modular system than at classical layer system of the green roofs. This research also wants to speak about construction system for individual types of green roof. Where the purpose of this article is to set optimal solution for modular green roof panel which will be economical and environmentally friendly.
