The paper considers psychological adaptation in the conditions of military service. The author argues that adaptation to a new social role, a new professional environment, and military relations requires a person to mobilize all his adaptive resources and developed self-regulation skills. As the main indicators of readiness for psychological adaptation, the adaptation experience of a serviceman in the pre-conscription period and psychological resistance to adaptation processes are considered. An indicator of psychological adaptation in the narrow sense of the word is the quality of the military personnel’s development of a military accounting specialty. As a result of psychological diagnostics and analysis of adaptive indicators of the subjects, all participants of the study were divided into three groups. The first group of military personnel needs additional time to fully master the military accounting specialty, because they have problems with psychological readiness to learn new types of activities, and they perceive the service situation as stressful and impossible for them. The second group includes military personnel who have shown a high level of development of military accounting specialty, but have insufficient psychological ability to adapt and have not had extensive experience of social adaptation in civilian life. The third group includes military personnel who demonstrate a high level of development of military accounting specialty in the initial period of military service. Recommendations on adaptation have been developed for each group, which are presented as a threelevel model of psychological adaptation of military personnel to the conditions of military service. The model is a complex of organizational, psychological, educational and professional activities aimed at the development of personal qualities of military personnel that contribute to improving the level of adaptive development. The implementation of the proposed model allows you to build working relationships in the military team; to form a belief in the need to improve the quality of knowledge for successful military professional activities; to successfully perform their professional military duties; to implement personal adaptation resources.

The article analyzes the historical, legal and rule-making features of the systematization of military legislation of Ukraine during the IX-early XXI centuries in the Ukrainian lands as an ethnic state and states that influenced its formation, development and current state. In order to effectively systematize the military legislation of Ukraine, which is characterized by imbalance and inconsistency of acts as a result of permanent changes in conditions of political and economic instability, armed aggression and the ongoing special period, a comparative historical and legal analysis of the state and achievements in practical military codification experience that must be taken into account when streamlining the legislation in the field of defense of Ukraine. As a result of the conducted research the tendencies and normative-legal features of each historical period of systematization of the military legislation on the Ukrainian lands are established. It was found that by the XVII century. The provisions of military law were only interspersed with acts of general law; the emergence of a regular army led to institutional systematization in the form of separate military statutes. The only sectoral-targeted systematization of military legislation took place in the form of incorporation and only after the systematization of general legislation through the publication of the Code of Military Resolutions of 1839, 1859, 1869. Systematization of military legislation of XX–XXI centuries covered an even larger area of military-administrative, military-service, military-combat, civil-military social relations, but the rudimentary influence of the Code of Military Resolutions is preserved in the military statutes and military-criminal acts of Ukraine. Sectoral systematization of military legislation in the form of codification (unified Military Code) or intersectoral - in the field of defense (unified National Defense Code) has no short-term prospects due to weak theoretical and legal and practical-applied development.

The problem of using the portfolio as a personal oriented technology for improving the quality of medical education is considered. It is emphasized that the "Portfolio" is currently an effective tool for objectifying and quantifying educational and professional growth in education and continuous professional development of the doctor. It can also be used to assess social relations and competencies that are difficult to assess in other ways. Portfolio can be widely used to demonstrate the acquisition of competences in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary areas of medicine, as well as the development of non-clinical skills.Attention is also focused on the fact that the portfolio in postgraduate medical education is applicable to support the physician's reflexive practice, knowledge management and knowledge transfer management at the organizational and individual levels. However, the creation of an e-portfolio requires a global harmonization of the content of training, professional activity and assessment of the improvement of the doctor in professional conditions.

Abstract. Background: While a history of suicide attempts has been identified as the most powerful risk factor among adults, it is not clear if this is also true for the adolescent population. Our aim was to examine the differences between attempters and nonattempters in the years following a documented suicide attempt and to investigate the adolescents' prognosis in terms of suicidal behavior and adjustment. Method: Military records at induction and during active military service were used to compare 105 adolescent suicide attempters with 105 matched controls. All were rated on cognitive/educational performance and psychosocial adaptation, psychological health diagnoses, and performance during their military service. Results: Suicide attempters had higher school dropout rates and lower scores on educational indicators. They registered more incidents of disciplinary and adjustment problems in the military. However, the overall prognosis of the suicide attempters appeared surprisingly good. No significant differences were found between the groups in suicide risk or in behavior in their military service. Limitations: Data were derived from the computerized records and no direct interviews were conducted with the participants. Conclusion: Attempted suicide in adolescence appears to be different in nature from attempted suicide in adulthood, and can be viewed as an indicator of social distress rather than as major risk factor of completed suicide. Implications in terms of intervention and prevention are discussed.
