The article presents the Nature-based socio-emotional approach and science education for primary school child as a necessary relation on two levels. At the conceptual level the approach is analysed through the prism of the cumulative effects of nature and society to the cognitive and socio-emotional development of the child’s personality: in primary school age cognitive and emotional-volitional mental processes are socially predetermined and have the essence of a result. At the applied level, the Nature-based socio-emotional approach is analysed through active learning in nature as an authentic learning environment – the focus is on the acquisition of knowledge, the formation of cognitive and socio-emotional skills to overcome consumer culture and sustainable development of nature. In this regard, the effects of active learning are viewed in sync with the learning environment, which collectively generate added value to learning and become a kind of „key“ to creating a modern vision of science education in primary school today .

Abstract The critical regime plays a primordial role in the study of gradually varying flows by classifying flow regimes and slopes. Through this work, a new approach is proposed to analyze critical flow regime in an egg-shaped channel. Based on both the definition of Froude number and Achour and Bedjaoui general discharge relationship, a relation between critical and normal depths is derived and then graphically represented for the particular case of a smooth channel characterized by a generating diameter equal to one meter. The results show the influence of the slope on the frequency of occurrence of the critical regime. At the same time and independently of the flow rate, a very advantageous approach for the calculation of the Froude number has been proposed. The study shows that there are six zones to differentiate the various flow states, namely: on the one hand for steep slopes two subcritical zones interspersed by a supercritical zone and on the other hand for mild slopes a zone corresponding to uniform flow, an area where the flow is probably gradually varied and finally an area where the flow is abruptly varied. Based on the specific energy equation, a validation process concluded that the proposed relationships were reliable.

The object of this research is the methods used in design practices of post-Soviet time to give historical appearance to landscapes of former estates of Moscow region, which faded away, i.e. the methods of historicization. The landscapes under review are being protected by the government as the objects of Moscow cultural heritage, and designated as museums (reserve museums) and public parks. The subject of this research is disclosure of the essence of these methods and their assessment from the perspective of alignment with historical primary sources, implementation, proliferation, and attractiveness. The author conducts systematization of methods in accordance to the degree of conformance to the historical realities, and divides them into the following groups: 1) that provide accurate reproduction of historical forms, 2) that create similarities, 3) that create new forms. Each group is divided into subgroups. By frequency of application, the leading place belongs to the methods of first group, which are aimed at reproduction of the shapes of buildings and structures. The rest two methods focus on reviving the memory of the past. The application is attributed to new construction, which can be assessed as landscape evolution and a modern artistic phenomenon. The methods of second group lead to landscape development in spirit of historicism, while the methods of third group – to the development of territory based on modern vision of the past. The conducted analysis is valued for the general outlook upon the process of preservation of one of the most complex types of cultural heritage of Moscow.

From the fundamental studies of Louis Pasteur in the XIX century to the current genomic analysis, the essential role of microorganisms in winemaking industry is well recognised. In the last decades, selected Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains with excellent fermentative behaviour have been widely commercialised in form of active dry yeasts. Currently, the production of organic and “natural” wines represents a new economically relevant trend in the wine sector. Based on this market demand, the use of industrial yeast starter could be perceived as non-organic practice and then, rejected. However, in order to preserve wines sensory quality, healthiness, and to avoid organoleptic defects given by undesirable microorganisms, the “yeast factor” (S. cerevisiae or non-Saccharomyces) cannot be ignored. The purpose of this chapter is to describe the methods of selection of wine yeasts focusing the attention on indigenous S. cerevisiae strains. In fact, the use of ecotypic yeasts may represent a good compromise between the needs of microbiologically controlled fermentation and a modern vision of wine as natural expression of its “terroir”, also from the microbiological point of view.

Goal. Consider the management of patients with effort thrombosis (Paget-Schretter syndrome).The article presents the modern vision of the problem of effort thrombosis. This review is aimed at describing the epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of patients with Paget-Schretter syndrome. SPS occurs spontaneously, as a rule, in young, healthy and active patients aged 20-30 years after strenuous physical activity. The ratio of men and women is 2:1, recently there has been a growing trend among women. The main complaints of patients with SPS include swelling of the affected limb, discomfort when moving the affected arm, pain and heaviness when trying to raise the arm up. When examining these patients, attention is paid to hyperemia of the skin or their cyanotic nature, pasty limbs, as well as an enhanced venous pattern on the shoulder, the so-called Arshel sign. The diagnosis is based on the data of anamnesis, physical examination, the “gold standard of diagnostics” – ultrasound examination of veins, the sensitivity and specificity of which is 70-100%. The first step in the diagnosis can be the evaluation of the D-dimer, with its negative values, the SPSH is rejected. With an obvious clinic and controversial results of serial ultrasound examinations, other imaging methods are used, such as computed contrast tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, the diagnostic value of which is especially significant in occlusive venous thrombosis.SPS differs not only from DVT of the lower extremities, but also from secondary DVT of the upper extremities, which determines the peculiarities of management of this category of patients, including surgical treatment aimed at preventing subclavian vein compression in the future. The article summarizes the experience in the management of patients with blood thrombosis.

The paper represents the creation of the software simulation system, which reproduce the basic processes of mining and near production. It presents the consideration of such systems for both traditional and non-traditional mineral extraction systems. The principles of using computer recognition of processes are also presented in other processes of carbon-containing raw materials transition, as well as power production and waste utilization of mining production. These systems considerably expand the manageability of a rather complicated mining enterprise. The main purpose of such research is the simulation reproduction of all technological processors associated with the activity of mining enterprises on the display of the dispatch center. For this purpose, is used so-called UML-diagrams, which allows to simulate mining and near mining processes. Results of this investigation were included to the Roman Dychkovskyi thesis of the scientific degree of the Doctor of the Technique Sciences “Scientific Principles of Technologies Combination for Coal Mining in Weakly Metamorphoses Rockmass”.

For over half a century, from 1924 to 1986, the Electrical Association for Women (EAW) worked to modernize the British home by bringing the blessings of labour-saving appliances to the aid of British women. Adopting a strategy of facilitation, the EAW sought, on the one hand, to educate women about electricity and its advantages in the home, encourage them to demand greater access to that electricity and keep them abreast of new developments in appliances and the infrastructure (from a national grid to sufficient outlets) necessary for enjoying them. On the other hand, the organization sought to discover the real needs and desires of the women themselves, and to bring this forcibly to the attention of the electrical industry in Great Britain ; to make the ‘women's point of view’, as it was called, a factor in the production, distribution and application of electricity in the home.Although the very masculine electrical industry was a decisive part of both the EAW's context, and of its financial and advisory structure, the group proudly insisted that it was a women's organization in which women addressed other women about women's concerns and well-being. In its early years, the excitement of women coming together in a modern cause was palpable, but as the leadership aged and electricity turned from modern vision to commonplace reality, the almost religious zeal and pace of activities began to falter. A late-hour attempt to highlight nuclear power plants as evidence of a renewed and equally exciting modern moment fell short, and in 1986 the EAW quietly dissolved itself, the casualty of large social changes, some of which it had proudly helped to bring about.
