This study aims to accustome the ability of critical thinking skills of students who managed CTL approach using model Group Investigation. This study was conducted in two phases, the preparation phase which aims to develop learning package and the second phases of the trail of the device. Learning package  developed in the form of lesson plan (RPP), Students worksheet (LKS), text books (BAS),  and critical thingking skills test (TBK). Critical thinking skills are trained include formulating the problem, provide argument, analize and conclude. The device was developed with the development step of Borg and Gall, then proceed with the trial in the classroom by using pretest-posttest design. Data collected by expert judgement, observation, testing, and legibility BAS were collected using techniques close procedure. The collected data were then analized using descriptive analysis. Results of data analysis obtained as follows the quality of learning package developed by expert declared valid by validator. extremely high level of legibility and easy to understand, RPP achieve excellent, student activity that stand out is formulating a problem; student activity that stands out is formulating a problem; obstades that occur in the learning process is that students are not familiar investigations, thus requiring a briefing before hand. Critical thinking skills of students in the high category. Students' response to the lessons learned, so of data analysis can be concluded that the learning package by using CTL approach GI type cooperative model in the static fluid material can be used to train students' critical thinking skill Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang dikelola dengan pendekatan CTL menggunakan model Group Investigation. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap, yaitu tahap persiapan yang bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran dan tahap kedua tahap uji coba perangkat. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), Buku Ajar Siswa (BAS), dan tes Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis (KBK). Keterampilan berpikir kritis yang dilatihkan meliputi merumuskan masalah, memberikan argumen, menganalisis, dan menyimpulkan. Perangkat dikembangkan dengan langkah-langkah pengembangan dari Borg and Gall, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji coba di SMA Plus Sabilur Rosyad di kelas X-IPA1 dan X-IPA2 dengan menggunakan rancangan pretest-postest design. Data dikumpul berdasarkan penilaian validator, observasi, tes, dan  keterbacaan BAS yang dikumpul dengan menggunakan teknik close procedure. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis data secara deskriptif. Hasil analisis data diperoleh sebagai berikut: kualitas perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid oleh pakar/validator; tingkat keterbacaan BAS sangat tinggi dan mudah dipahami; RPP mencapai keterlaksanaan yang sangat baik; aktivitas siswa yang menonjol adalah merumuskan masalah; kendala yang terjadi dalam proses pembelajaran adalah siswa belum terbiasa melakukan penyelidikan, sehingga membutuhkan pengarahan terlebih dahulu. Keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa masuk dalam kategori tinggi. Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran baik, sehingga dari hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CTL menggunakan model kooperatif Group Investigation pada materi fluida statis dapat digunakan untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

This study aims to produce science learning tools that are valid, practical, and effective which consists of syllabus, lesson plan, teaching material, student activity sheets, and test sheets to improve the critical thinking skills of elementary students. This research was carried out using the 4-D model of adaptation Ibrahim, M., which is define, design, developing, disseminate and tested in class V of Jiken Elementary School, Kedondong I Elementary School, Sudimoro Elementary School, school year 2019/2020 with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data analysis techniques used are quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The results shows: 1) valid, according to the validity of the three validators with valid categories, 2) practical, in accordance with the level of observers seen from the activity of students increasing at each meeting and implementation of RPP, 3) effective, seen from appearing significantly different from the pretest and posttest test students' critical thinking and positive student responses. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the development of science learning tools oriented in guided inquiry is valid, practical, and effective for improving critical thinking skills of elementary students.

This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills through the application of learning materials with the PBL-SETS method. They were developed with the 4D model. This research is pre-experimental used one group pretest and posttest design. Data collection methods used validation, observation, and test. The data analysis technique used is the paired sample T-test. The learning materials have a very valid category and it can be used to improve critical thinking skills. The average critical thinking post-test score is 84 with an N-Gain of 0.7 which categorize as medium, while the overall student completeness reached 87%. The results of data analysis show that t-count = -21,967 and t-table = 1,693 (at df 32 and the significance level of 0.05). Research shows that the use of PBL with the SETS method affects increasing critical thinking skills. The responses of students towards learning by 88% (very good). Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that learning materials of the PBL model with the SETS method can improve the students’ critical thinking skill on fluid dynamic topic. PBL with SETS learning is expected to be able to make students more actively in the process of problem solving directly so that students are easier to develop critical thinking skill. From the indicator of critical thinking skills, students can more easily understand the concept and develop their critical thinking skill.

The aims of this research is to determine the feasibility of the learning materials of Sciences with guided inquiry model to instruct student’s critical thinking skills. This research and development used Tessmer method to produce a prototype which was tested up to field test. The feasibility of learning materials is expressed by the validity, practicality, and effectivenees. The validity of learning materials is determined by expert and one to one test. The practicality is determined by the implementation of lesson plan (RPP). The effectiveness is determined by the ability of students to implementing LKPD. The result showed that; (1) the learning materials is valid according to the result of evaluation by expert and one to one test, (2) the learning materials is practically according to the result of implementation of lesson plan is 3,5, and (3) the learning matrials is effective according to the result of implementation of LKPD. Based of descriptive analysis it could be concluded that the learning materials developed are feasible and were able to instruct critical thinking skills of junior high school student. Pengembangan perangkat dilakukan berdasarkan model penelitian pengembangan Tessmer sehingga menghasilkan prototype yang diujikan hingga tahap uji lapangan. Kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran dinyatakan dari kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Kevalidan perangkat pembelajaran ditentukan dari hasil validasi oleh pakar dan hasil uji coba perorangan. Kepraktisan ditentukan dari keterlaksanaan RPP. Keefektifan ditentukan dari kemampuan peserta didik dalam melaksanakan LKPD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) perangkat pembelajaran dinyatakan sangat valid berdasarkan hasil penilaian pakar dan uji perorangan, (2) perangkat pembelajaran dinyatakan praktis berdasarkan hasil penilaian keterlaksanaan RPP mencapai skor 3,5, dan (3) perangkat pembelajaran dinyatakan efektif berdasarkan kemampuan peserta didik melaksanakan LKPD. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak dan mampu melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik.Kata kunci: perangkat pembelajaran, inkuiri terbimbing, keterampilan berpikir kritis

The objective of this research was to develope physics learning materials based on Brain-Based Learningthat are valid, practical, and effective to facilitate student’s critical thinking skills in fluid matter. The learning materials development using 4D development model and have been tested on 10th grade students of  The Senior High School of 1 Kopang, academic year 2016/2017, with one group pre-test post-test design trial development research. Data collection methods used were questionnaires validity, tests and observation, whereas data analysis techniques using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results were showed several findings: physics learning materials developed had an average score of validity categorized valid, based on the implementation of the lesson plan is obtained that can be done well, especially on elaboration step. The response was very positive towards learning students, critical categorized for student’s critical thinking skills after the trial of physics materials were develop. Based on the results of this trial can be concluded that developement of physics learning material was valid, practical, and effective to facilitate student’s critical thinking skills.

Teaching materials are one of the important aspects that determine the effectiveness of learning. In learning discourse analysis, students are expected to have critical thinking skills, but this is not achieved because the teaching materials used are not in accordance with the needs of students. The purpose of this study was to analyze the needs of teaching materials to students. This research was conducted by quantitative descriptive method. Research data were collected using a questionnaire given to 30 students. The data from the questionnaires were then studied using quantitative descriptive analysis methods. Based on the results of the study obtained data that many teaching materials are not in accordance with the learning objectives that have been formulated in the lesson plan. The pattern of preparation and content of teaching materials used so far does not provide a stimulus for students to develop critical thinking skills. The results showed that students not only needed teaching materials that contained material as the object of discourse analysis studies, but also needed material on concepts and strategies in critical thinking.

<p>This study aims to improving critical thinking skills of student of class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta in the academic year 2015/2016 through the implementation of Constructivist-Metacogitive model. This research considered as Classroom Action Research that performed whitin 2 cycles and consist of 4 steps namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research procedure refers to Kemmis-Mc.Taggart spiral technique. Data are obtained by questionnaire, essay test, interview, and documentation. Data analysis using qualitative descriptive technique. The main data regarding students' critical thinking skills covering several aspects, namely the interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation and self-regulation was measured using a test arranged by the researcher. Data analysis using descriptive analysis technique. Data validation using triangulation techniques. The average yield of pre-cycle critical thinking skills is 33.71% (low), then increased to 47.6% (average) at the first cycle, and increased to 75.76% (high) at the second cycle. The student’s critical thingking skill improvement have reached the reseach target (≥20%), Thus, application of constructivist-metacognitive models can improve students' critical thinking skills. The results showed that the application of Constructivist Model-metacognitive improving critical thinking skills of the students of class XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta.</p><p><strong><em>Keywords</em></strong>: Constructivis-metacognitive models, Critical Thinking Skills, Coordination System.</p>

The aim of this research is to develop physics learning material based on guided inquiry model completed video scribe at heat material to improve senior high school achievement. Development of Physics Learning Material is used Dick and Carey model, this research using one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis qualitatively and quantitatively. Validation results showed that learning material is feasible to be implemented, including: (a) lesson plan; (b) student worksheet; (c) student books; (d) evaluation instrument. The results of this research were analyzed and obtained: lesson plan was properly implemented, good student responses, all students interested in learning. Learning evaluation of knowledge, N-gain include knowledge aspect and critical thinking skills, showed high improvement. Concluded that, physics learning materials developed is feasible to implemented and it can improve the student achievement Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika berbasis model inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan videoscribe yang layak untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMA pada materi kalor. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil validasi perangkat pembelajaran menunjukkan perangkat pembelajaran layak untuk diimplementasikan, meliputi: (a) RPP; (b) LKS; (c) Buku Ajar; (d) Media videoscribe; dan (e) Tes Hasil Belajar. RPP terlaksana dengan baik, dan siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap pembelajaran. N-Gain pada aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan berpikir kritis menunjukkan peningkatan dengan kategori tinggi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yakni perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan layak diimplementasikan dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

The aimed of this research to describe the student learning outcomes and critical thinking skills through guided inquiry model using student worksheet oriented of critical thinking skills. This Research was conducted on two stages, are development of teaching materials using Dick and Carey model, and the implementation stage into the classroom using one group pretest-posttest design with subjects were 30 students on X class of SMAN 1 Pasir Belengkong Kabupaten Paser Kalimantan Timur. The parameter is feasibility of lesson plan, student activity, learning outcomes, critical thinking skills and constraints for teaching and learning activities. Data collecting were using observation method, test, and questionnaire. After the data were analiyzed with this result: The feasibility of lesson plan could be categorized as good, student activity with instrument reliability classified as good, learning outcomes test to know mastery of student learning on Ecosystems with the average score as good and gain score high gain, critical thinking test with the average score as good and gain score high gain. Based on this research, it can be concluded that guided inquiry model using student worksheet of critical thinking skills can improve student learning outcomes and critical thinking skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar siswa dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui model inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan LKS berorientasi keterampilan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap, yaitu tahap pengembangan perangkat yang menggunakan model Dick & Carey, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan tahap implememtasi model di dalam kelas menggunakan rancangan One group Pretest-Posttest Design dengan subjek penelitian 30 siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Pasir Belengkong Kabupaten Paser Kalimantan Timur. Parameter yang diukur meliputi keterlaksanaan RPP, aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar siswa, keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, respon siswa dan hambatan selama kegiatan belajar. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, tes, dan angket. Selanjutnya data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Keterlaksanaan RPP dengan kategori baik, aktivitas siswa, dengan reliabilitas instrumen berkategori baik, ketuntasan belajar siswa pada materi ekosistem dengan nilai rata-rata baik dan gain score rata-rata  gain tinggi, ketuntasan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan rata-rata nilai baik dan gain score rata-rata gain tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan LKS berorientasi keterampilan berpikir kritis dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

The purpose of this research are to knowing the differences of critical thinking skills using interactive module photoelectric effects  with printed module, describe the improvement of students' critical thinking skills after the interactive module is applied, describe science process skills in students who use interactive module of photoelectric effects, and knowing student responses to the use interactive module of photoelectric effects. The study was conducted in Natar 1 Public High School, in the even semester 2018/2019 academic year with research design nonequivalent control group design.The research instrument used was a questionnaire (questionnaire), Student Worksheet (LKPD) along with observation sheets and test questions. Data collection techniques were carried out by test techniques, questionnaires and LKPD contents. The data analysis technique of critical thinking ability is done by normality test, homogeneity test and N-gain. The data analysis technique of science process skills is done by calculating the average grade of the class then adjusted to the index classification table of science processes. Hypothesis testing is done by Paired Sample T Test and Independent Sample T Test. The results of the study show that (1) the application of the photoelectric effect interactive module is able to improve students' critical thinking skills, this is seen from the N-gain value and paired sample t test results, 2) there are significant differences in critical thinking skills between students who use interactive modules with printed modules, this is seen from the differences in the n-gain values of both classes and the results of the independent sample t test, (3) the value of students' science process skills is 82.6 with a high category, and (4) students gave a positive response to the utilization of the photoelectric effect interactive module.

This study aims to produce a science module based on mobile-collaborative-based science learning (m-CBSL) with the topic of temperature and heat and describe the resulting module's validity and practicality. The research design was Educational Design Research (EDR). The data collection techniques used were literature study, walkthrough, interview, and questionnaire. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire of validity and practicality. Data analysis techniques include descriptive data analysis, validation sheets, and questionnaires. Module validation sheets were given to 5 validators. In contrast, practicality sheets were given to 9 students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Banjarmasin (small group) and 62 students and three science teachers at SMP Negeri 6 & 12 Banjarmasin field test. The validity questionnaire analysis results concluded that the validity of the module was 3.71 "very valid" categories. The practicality level based on the teacher's questionnaire scored 87.04 in the "very practical" category. The small group questionnaire scored 85.19 in the "very practical" category, and the field trial questionnaire scored 86.42 in the "very practical" category. It means that the m-CBSL based science module is valid and practical in the learning process to improve critical thinking skills and collaboration.
