Purpose of study: This study aims to measure the level of students' problem-solving skills, using assessment instruments in the form of multiple-choice tests based on the multiple representation approach on DC electrical circuits. Methodology: This research is a quantitative descriptive involving 46 students of physics education. Students are asked to solve the problem of DC electrical circuits on 12 multiple choice questions with open reasons, involving verbal, mathematical, and picture representations. Data were analyzed by determining means and standard deviations. Main findings: The results of the study showed that there were 3 levels of students' problem-solving skills, namely 7 (15%) students in the high category, 22 (48%) students in the medium category and 17 (37%) students in the low category. Applications of this study: The implication of this research is to continuously develop assessment instruments based on multiple representations in the form of various types of tests, to help students improve their conceptual understanding, so students can solve physics problems correctly. The novelty of this study: Researchers explain the right way to solve physics problems, 1) students are trained to focus on identifying problems, 2) students are accustomed to planning solutions using a clear approach, to build an understanding of concepts, 3) students are directed to solve problems accordingly with understanding the concepts they have built.

Aim/Purpose: Within higher education, graduating students who are able to solve ill-structured, complex, open-ended, and collaborative, workplace problems is recognized as paramount. Because of this, there is a need to assess this skill across the curriculum. Background: This paper addresses this issue by assessing problem-solving across a computing curriculum using an assessment instrument shown to be reliable and valid. Methodology: The method is based upon the implementation of the assessment instrument that uses a scenario-based asynchronous discussion board measuring the ability of student groups to solve workplace problems. The sample are computing students from the 2nd, 3rd, 4th year, and master’s levels at a UAE university. Contribution: This paper shows the problem-solving skills of students over four years of study across a computing curriculum and demonstrates the effectiveness of the instrument. Findings: There was a general increase in student problem-solving performance from the 2nd, 3rd, 4th year, and master’s levels, but students often failed to meet the expected level of performance for their year of study. In addition, the instrument was effective in assessing problem-solving. Recommendations for Practitioners: This assessment instrument, or one similar, that uses a scenario-based asynchronous discussion board can be used to measure the ability of student groups to solve workplace problems. Impact on Society: Students must be prepared to solve workplace problems to meet the needs of 21st century employment. Future Research: Further research should be conducted with this assessment instrument, or one similar, outside of this fairly unique UAE- based context.

Abstract Diabetes  in women of reproductive age needs to be observed and watched out for. Risks associated with gestational diabetes include pre-natal morbidity and death as well as an increase in chronic cesarean delivery and hypertension in the mother. This study aims to determine the effect of diabetes mellitus on the psychology of WUS in Jambi City in Putri Ayu Health Center in Jambi City in 2019.Data were analyzed using univariate analysis, bivariate with chi square and multivariate using logistic regression analysis. Fertile Age Women (WUS) with higher education have the opportunity not to stress with OR 0.2. WUS with impaired physical health have the opportunity not to stress with OR 4.2. WUS with problem solving skills have the opportunity to not stress with OR 4.2. WUS with high knowledge have a no stress opportunity with OR 0.2. The level of education, physical health, problem solving skills and the level of knowledge of WUS sufferers of diabetes mellitus significantly influence psychology (stress). This research is expected to be able to provide information on knowledge and be able to detect early on the factors that affect the stress level of sufferers of diabetes mellitus by using a scoring scale that can be utilized by health workers in the service and as a reference for diabetes mellitus patients.

In this chapter, we look at the research area of discursion and context-aware information as it relates to the user. Much research has been done in the area of effective learning, active learning, and in developing frameworks through which learning can be said to be achieved and have some possibility of being measured (i.e., Networked Learning and Bloom’s Taxonomy) (Bloom, 1956). Having examined many such frameworks, we have found that dialogue plays a large part, and in this chapter we specifically examine dialogue in context of the user’s background and social context. This always plays a critical role, and it is around this that we want to dig deeper. We aim to provide a quality discourse analysis model which will achieve in more detail a picture of the users actual level of knowledge. Problem solving skills, together with the critical thinking capability as part of a team, and individually, in the following chapter.
