Micro, small and medium enterprises are still constrained by the collection of financial statements and if left unchecked it will have a negative impact on development, one of which is that development is low because it increases capital and will make it harder for banks to analyze the feasibility of credit assistance for users. The population in this study was 97.277 in Denpasar district by taking a sample of 100 companies randomly. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that H1 was rejected because the Perception of SMEs did not oppose the adoption of SAK EMKM in the city of Denpasar and H2 was accepted because the SAK EMKM socialization was positively beneficial to the application of SAK EMKM in the city of Denpasar.

To increase inter-region connectivity, the Indonesian government initiated infrastructure projects such as toll roads, airport, highways, as well as agriculture ones throughout the countries. One of the big projects in road infrastructure was the Cikampek–Palimanan (Cipali) toll road in West Java with a budget of more than USD1 billion which started to operate in July 2015. This paper is aimed to evaluate the impact of the toll road on accessibilities, trades, and investments in the region it traverses. To carry out the analysis, we used qualitative approach, difference-in-difference approach, and ANOVA, utilizing three kinds of data. The first data is collected from a survey of 331 small-medium enterprises (SMEs) in the logistics and the hotel and restaurant industries. The second one is bank loan data sourced from Bank Indonesia, while the third one is investment data from Investment Coordinating Board of Indonesia (BKPM). After two years of its operation, Cipali toll road has increased accessibility, mobility, trade, and investment in the region it traverses. The travel time was reduced by 39%, while the cargo volume of the local businesses increased by 30% to 40%. These led to an improvement of wholesale trade volume in almost all regencies. However, SMEs in the hotel and restaurant industry along the traditional northern coastal highway in Subang, Indramayu, and Brebes experienced a decline due to the traffic shifting. Meanwhile, investments from national companies especially those of labor-intensive manufacturing industries flowed significantly especially to Subang and Majalengka, which reflected a “sorting effect”. However, investments from local and foreign businesses did not increase significantly yet after 2.5 years of toll operation. To reap the benefit from the presence of Cipali toll road, the local governments should improve the ease of doing business to attract investments that boost employment in return. In addition, given a better accessibility from Greater Jakarta and a large number of potential visitors passing through the toll road, local businesses in the trade sector would benefit if they could promote the local attractions such as in tourism activities supported by the local government. The latter strategy should also be implemented by the local governments and local businesses in the northern coastal traditional route to minimize the negative impact of the toll road due to the traffic shifting. This strategy should be strengthened through increasing connectivity from the toll exits to local business areas and through increasing the ease of doing business.

Tourism is a complex and prominent sector in Indonesia that involved many stakeholders. Led by the success story of Bali tourism development which able to grow beyond all expectation, helping to improve public and private infrastructure, including the birth and growth of small-medium enterprises, led the Indonesian government to distribute and spread the development all over Indonesia through Ten New Bali concept. One of these is Tanjung Kelayang, located in Belitung Island. Despite Bali success stories, negative impacts of Bali tourism development on environmental sustainability appeared, such as land-use change, soil and water degradation, pollutions, waste mismanagement, etc. Reflected from Bali negative tourism impact, this paper will identify and analyse Tanjung Kelayang tourism development as a New Bali using sustainable tourism destination criteria to create baseline data. A qualitative approach using both primary data by on-site observation and in-depth interview with related parties, and secondary data by identifying the Local Official Tourism Development Master Plan (RIPPARKAB) year 2014 and other studies in regards with Tanjung Kelayang tourism development by using GSTC-D V2 as a tool to reflect sustainability commitment was occurred on this paper. The result of compliance shows that only 19% for Sustainable Management, 4% for Socio-Economy Sustainability, 11% for Cultural Sustainability, and 0% for Environmental Sustainability. Thus, it shows the gap of Tanjung Kelayang tourism development in regards with sustainable destination concept. Hence, a commitment, communication, and cooperation from all related parties is necessary to be in place to achieve a sustainable tourism destination development in Tanjung Kelayang.

The study was to explore the awareness of owners of small medium enterprises with regards to green tax incentives; to identify their attitudes towards such green tax incentives and the possible impact it will have on small medium manufacturing enterprises going green. This study used a quantitative research design, specifically a descriptive survey approach. A census sample was drawn through a list provided by the Durban Chamber of Commerce. A survey questionnaire was the primary data collection tool used. At total of 152 questionnaires were distributed and a 104 were received yielding a response rate of 68 %. The data showed that small medium enterprises were concerned about the environment, and acknowledged that their business activities have a negative impact on the environment. The study also established that small medium enterprise owners are concerned with the impact that climate change will have on their business operations. A majority of the sample considered green taxation to be an important driver that would allow businesses to become eco-friendly. Owners were found to support the utilization of green taxation incentives and were considering using green taxation as part of future business decision making, thus ensuring that meet corporate social responsibility. It was concluded that there was a need for the government to put more focus into creating awareness of global warming and climate change. There was also a need to find more innovative ways of promoting eco-consciousness and green sustainable practices and the need to draft and identify new green taxation legislature that caters for public and small medium enterprises.

The purpose of this investigation is to compute overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) in the small-scale industry. The novel approach is introduced to detect bottlenecks by which OEE can be improved. This study attempts to help small-medium enterprises in analyzing performance in a better way. The automotive industry was chosen for conducting the research. The present study is comprised of three phases. In the first phase, OEE was computed and compared with world-class manufacturing. The second phase included three-level of Pareto analysis followed by making fishbone diagram to mitigate the losses. The third phase conducted improved OEE in the industry. There are seven major losses present in the industry that adversely affect the effectiveness of machine in any industry. This approach can reduce these losses and improve the quality, asset utilization (AU), OEE, total effective equipment performance (TEEP) and productivity of the machine. The study exposes that Pareto analysis uncovers all the losses and works on the principle of 80/20 rule. The major losses were thoroughly explored with the help of the fishbone diagram and solutions were implemented at the shop floor. As a result, availability, performance, quality, OEE, AU, and TEPP show improvements by 4.6%, 8.06%, 6.66%, 16.23%, 4.16%, and 14.58%, respectively. The approach offers a good opportunity for both researchers and small-medium enterprises around the world to analyze the indicators of production losses, performance, and productivity in the manufacturing industry.
