The goal of this research is to determine the modal characteristics of technical and tactical actions in handball offense. The subject sample consists of elite Serbian national handball teams. The observed variables are selected based on the unique criteria that characterizes the conclusion of the offensive actions, both in situations when there is an equal and unequal number of players on the field. The results confirm that all analysed actions are not equally represented in play of the observed teams and that there are multiple factors that contribute to the final team standing. The data shows that the defining characteristic and the highest offensive efficiency of the best teams was achieved by using counterattacks, which is to be expected given the fast pace of the modern handball.

The epic journey of the Land Acquisition Act, 2013 is the subject matter of this chapter. The chapter traces the travails of the 1894 Act through the various challenges including the Narmada Bachao agitation and various SEZ acquisitions in the early 2000s till the four separate and more recent agitations that set the stage for work on new legislation—Nandigram and Singur in West Bengal, Maha Mumbai SEZ in Maharashtra and POSCO acquisition in Odisha. The UPA’s 2004 Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) policy was revised in a 2007 Bill, largely as per NAC recommendations, that however lapsed in 2009. During UPA-II, fresh trouble erupted in Bhatta Parsaul in UP and the government elevated Jairam Ramesh to fast pace the passage of the new law. After much contentious negotiation the Act came into being in 2013. The movement reflects a combination of Punctuated Equilibrium Framework and Advocacy Coalition Framework.

The city of Tashkent is developing at a very fast pace, and the power supply of a new type is the subject of innovation in this direction. Commercial metering of electricity in multi-storey buildings in modern cities mainly solves the current payment problems for consumed electricity. And the main disadvantages of such networks will remain overboard. Technically competently control the common highway of a multi-storey building is necessary. Here, the commercial metering of electricity consumption does not solve the technical policy considering the development of the city. The construction of multi-storey buildings based on an individual project is growing rapidly in the city. Together with the environmental aspects of the impact of such buildings, it is necessary to address the issue of reliability in power supply. The use of power supply schemes taking into account backup power is relevant. It is proposed to take a diesel power plant as a backup source. For this, an electrical circuit of relay protection using an automatic transfer switch is proposed.

Several successful methods for balancing flexible rotating shells have been developed in recent years. The methods can apparently be subdivided into a group which is based on modal characteristics and another set which employs influence coefficients. The relative merits of these two approaches have been the subject of much discussion and argument — most of it inconclusive and rather fruitless. The authors consider that in practice many of the differences are more apparent than real and that they seem to occur because the various techniques are normally presented in relatively simple and ideal, theoretical terms. This paper represents the start of a joint project which hopes to resolve the apparent differences and, eventually, develop a unified approach to such balancing. A discussion of the theoretical basis for this unified approach is presented along with a description of a test program conducted to explore the possibilities of such an approach.

E-Commerce and package deliveries are growing at a fast pace and there is an increased demand for same-day deliveries. Established delivery companies and new startups are investing in technologies that reduce delivery times or increase delivery drivers’ productivity. In this context, the adoption of sidewalk automated (or autonomous) delivery robots (SADRs) has a growing appeal. SADRs are pedestrian sized robots that deliver items to customers without the intervention of a delivery person. Because SADRs travel on sidewalks they have been the subject of increasing regulation by local agencies in the U.S. The three research questions that guide this research effort are: ( a) What are the limitations imposed by existing regulations in the U.S.?, ( b) What are the technical capabilities of existing SADRs?, and ( c) Given the existing capabilities and regulations, what are the time/cost savings and efficiencies that SADRs can bring about? The first part of the research discusses current U.S. regulations on SADRs and reviews existing SADR devices and their capabilities. Building on this knowledge, the second half of the research presents a novel model to estimate delivery time and number of customers served utilizing a combination of SADRs and a special delivery van. These results are compared with a baseline (or prevailing) delivery system utilizing only a conventional delivery van and human driver. Results, insights, and potential implications are discussed. The results show that SADRs can provide substantial cost and time savings in some scenarios. Furthermore, the introduction of SADRs may significantly reduce on-road travel per package delivered.

This study aims to contribute to the enhancement of cultural and environmental heritage of Calabria, with the objective to identify the optimal management model, able to achieve results effective, efficient and long lasting, as the effects of mismanagement often determine causes of decay and abandonment of heritage: have been used the verification of the comparative financial sustainability, as suggested by the Legislative Decree 42/2004, between two categories of program manager, profit and no profit, starting from the assumption that the real manager public, owner of a large part of cultural heritage, it is not in the best condition to manage because of multiple factors. From the simulation performed on the Geraces Cultural Park of History and Memory, it is clear that the subject no profit is the one best suited, so, with the same objectives, and services to be provided within the tariff, it checks the condition of equilibrium between costs and revenues: specifically, the cost of a no profit entity is considerably lower, making use of voluntary unlike a subject who must supply profit instead of real salaries.

Satirical magazines are a unique form of the XVIII century literature. Standing outside the dominant in the XVIII century normative poetics, they share its didactic intent. They develop a specific genre system consisting of short literary forms. The research aims to create a structural model of this system. It involves multiple factors: the literary forms it includes are defined on several irredundant criteria. Its main genres are the editor’s essay, the reader’s letter, and parodies. The editor as the subject of an essay is a fictional character. Readers’ letters, whoever their real authors might be, coexist with editor’s essays in a common fictional space. Such genres as newspaper articles, recipes, dictionaries are objects of parody. A character sketch is the basic element of the system. Compressed or extended, it can appear as a description or a narrative. A character sketch as well as other genre modes may take the shape of essays, letters, parodies. Many short forms show a tendency towards cyclization. The magazine as a whole is a literary unity held together with the help of several mechanisms: the editor’s and readers’ personae, formal and thematic parallels between texts, sometimes a common constructive principle or even a single plot. The diversity of simultaneous structuring principles makes the genre system of the satirical magazines complex and flexible, so as to vary aesthetic impressions for the sake of a common didactic goal.

The fast pace of industry at present is unprecedented thanks to the revolution which is taking place post the advent of various facets of Information Technology. The whole world is discussing about Machine learning, Internet of things, block chain , robotics etc. Manufacturing as well as the service sector are largely affected by these disruptive technologies. Keeping in tune with the latest developments has become a huge challenge for the Industry as a whole. Those who are ignorant about the changes are losing faster than they might have thought. Small enterprises are also getting affected by new technologies. Many of the small enterprises are feared to become non- existent. Survival for micro business is necessary, this sector has to adapt suitable and sustainable strategies for its survival. The micro enterprise has to find the intellectual aspect of business that can remain unaffected by the sudden rapid changes in Industry as a whole. Advent of power looms threatened the very existence of handlooms; fabric manufacturing saw a shift from handloom to power looms. Still the appeal of that handmade factor attached to handloom fabric excites quite a large group of people. Garment manufacturing has a similar story of shift from handmade customised garments to factory made ready to wear garments. This paper tries to talk about the appeal of handmade garments which still attracts consumers thanks to multiple factors and can be adapted as a profitable micro enterprise.

Growing interest in the psychological and social aspects of physical illness and disability has extended to all facets of the behavior of patients. The ways in which people cope with the stress and challenges of disease is the subject of this paper. The writer presents a tentative framework for conceptualization of this aspect of illness behavior. A brief discussion of the major determinants of coping is given. The latter include intrapersonal, disease-related and environmental variables. Coping behavior is a resultant of multiple factors reflecting a patient's specific dispositions as well as characteristics of his total situation during a given episode of illness and its different phases. The way in which the patient copes with his illness spells the difference between optimum recovery or psychological invalidism. It is the doctor's task to recognize his patient's mode of coping and help him employ the most adaptive and effective coping strategies.

As the world is trying to discover what the shape of the much-needed next economy and socio-economy will be, this study attempts to explore the possibility of a framework that would address holistically the different inspiration economy driven constructs that have already been presented by researchers and authors. With the development of humanity and the fast pace of a knowledge-based economy, inspiration is becoming an ever more essential factor for the development of any socio-economy.The study of the inspiration economy framework by the knowledge community is still in its infancy, especially if the need for deeper work, as explored in the work of Thrash and Elliot (2010, 2004, 2003) and the Handbook of Inspiration Economy by Buheji and Thomas (2016), are acknowledged. A review of the literature shows that the body of knowledge has not so far established a robust theoretical framework that will guide researchers from a holistic perspective and demonstrate how the inspiration economy can be approached by researchers. This study aims to address a general question: how the inspiration economy can be approached by researchers. In seeking an answer to this question, the paper has two objectives: 1) to review how researchers are seeing the constructs of the inspiration economy framework, taking into account the available literature; 2) to develop recommendations about the research that would contribute towards unleashing the constructs of the coming inspiration economy. Finally, a set of conclusions is presented. This offers a better understanding of the inspiration economy with the aim of improving future research that would, in turn, enhance both discussions on and knowledge of the subject.

Tourism has been the subject of great attention of policy makers. The centrality of the sector derives from multiple factors, including the high number of subjects employed within the supply chain, the contribution to developing nations’ economic growth, and the environmental implications of establishing new productive activities. Under this scenario, family holdings play a central role as the main types of organisations active in the sector. In this sense, an understanding of these companies’ financial performance cannot disregard the understanding of the governance mechanisms that characterize the same given the potential divergence between “family” and “business” objectives. The research aims to encourage the development of new empirical evidence about this business model, providing specific contributions regarding the role of family members in companies’ decision-making mechanisms. For our purposes, an empirical analysis based on the evaluation of 343 Italian hotels was built.
