University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) has an academic information system that can facilitate access to information and provide quality academic services. One of the ULM academic information system services is the Portal Akademik Dosen ULM. Since its release in 2016, there has been no research regarding the evaluation of the Portal Akademik Dosen ULM. Most of users feel that the interface of the Portal Akademik Dosen ULM needs to be improved to make it more attractive, and needs improvements in several features. In connection with the important function of the Portal Akademik Dosen ULM, an evaluation is needed to assess the success of implementing the information system. This study aims to evaluate the usability of the Portal Akademik Dosen ULM. The methods used are the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) and Heuristic Walkthrough. Based on the results of the UEQ questionnaire from 56 respondents, it was found that the aspects of attractiveness, perspicuity, efficiency, dependability, and stimulation got positive values, while the novelty aspect got a neutral value. For the evaluation results with Heuristic Walkthrough method which involved 4 evaluators, found 33 problems at the Cognitive Walkthrough stage, and as many as 21 problems at the Heuristic Evaluation stage with an average severity rating of 13.4. The overall results of the evaluation showed that the Portal Akademik Dosen ULM needs to be improved on novelty items and need to be improved to reduce the number of problems.

User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX)  design is very important because with a good design that meets user needs, it can make users feel comfortable when using a product. One example is the Academic Information System (SIA), if the design of the SIA is not user friendly, it will have an impact on both the user and the system. Such as input errors, missing information, difficulties in using it. The purpose of conducting UI / UX analysis and design at SIA Universitas Jenderal Soedirman is to solve the problems experienced by users today. Users involved in this research are students. Design is made using the Design Thinking method and for the testing using Usability Testing.

Education services from tertiary institutions have applied a lot of the Academic Information System (SIAKAD). In the research on heuristic evaluation in the Academic Information System of Brawijaya University, there were several problems related to users, including problems in the ease of users to interact or use applications, SIAKAD Desktop which did not provide information to the user about the condition of a process within a certain time period or time. On the other hand, universities must guarantee the best service. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the acceptance of SIAKAD Desktop users to find out what factors can affect the use of Desktop SIAKAD. UTAUT as a theoretical model will be used to explore the acceptance and use of the technological environment, especially for SIAKAD users in the academic section of the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya. The data that has been collected will then be analyzed using the Partial Least Square Sequence Equation Modeling (PLS SEM) method. The results of the analysis show that only the conditions of the facilities significantly influence the behavior of using SIAKAD Desktop. The UTAUT model can only explain 44.8% of the factor variants using SIAKAD Desktop which is included in the moderate category. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a research model construct construct so that the prediction of the variance accuracy of the research model increases. In addition, it is expected that further research can cover a wider population target so that data is more reliable.

Academic Information System is an essential system in performing academic activities. Universitas Brawijaya are using Academic Information System named SIAKAD-UB. SIAKAD-UB is an information systems that deal with all kinds of student details and academic related reports. SIAKAD-UB encountered many problems along with the growth of data. This study aims to discover factor impact on problems of interface usability found in existing SIAKAD-UB using Heuristic Evaluation and Think Aloud method. This study involving 3 experts and 3 operators with the purpose of the evaluation received input from the experts and users. The result of experiment are find 3 problem heuristic with score 0 which mean no usability problem, 7 problem heuristic with score 1 which mean medium priority refinement, 7 problem heuristic with score 2 which mean low priority refinement, 7 problem heuristic with score 3 which mean high priority refinement. Heuristic evaluation and think aloud find 7 aspect refinement are Visibility of system status, Match between system and the real world, User control and freedom, Consistency and standards, Recognition rather than recall, Flexibility and efficiency of use, Help and documentation.

The academic information system is an important system to supports lecture activities. Is used by almost all elements in the university, both students, lecturers, staff and leaders. This research uses Heuristic Evaluation as an inference method to assess the components of learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors, and satisfaction. for various cases, such as designing academic and corporate websites with reference to these problems, it is necessary to evaluate the usability of STMIK Amik Riau information system. STMIK Amik Riau implements an integrated information system to support fast and real-time information management processes of STMIK Amik Riau information system includes various services such as E-KRS, E-KTM, E-EDOM, and other information. The aim is to identify problems related to the usability of the website. The data collection method in this research was carried out using questionnaire, containing a list of questions distributed via google form to respondents, its about 100 students of STMIK Amik Riau. Based on the analysis conducted using the Heuristic Evaluation method, the evaluation results of STMIK Amik Riau web portal have met the usability criteria with an average of 78.71915% where P > 60% and provides user satisfaction in accessing STMIK Amik Riau web portal. STMIK Amik Riau's web interface design is quite good. These results are based on the results of Likert scale score which states that the respondents agree.

The application of academic information system (siakad) a web-based college is essential to improve the academic services. Siakad the application has many obstacles, especially in dealing with a high amount of access that caused the overload. Moreover in case of hardware or software failure caused siakad inaccessible. The solution of this problem is the use of many existing servers where the load is distributed in the respective server. Need a method of distributing the load evenly in the respective server load balancing is the method by round robin algorithm so high siakad scalability. As for dealing with the failure of a server need fault tolerance for the availability siakad be high. This research is to develop methods of load balancing and fault tolerance using software linux virtual server and some additional programs such as ipvsadm and heartbeat that has the ability to increase scalability and availability siakad. The results showed that with load balancing to minimize the response time to 5,7%, increase throughput by 37% or 1,6 times and maximize resource utilization or utilization of 1,6 times increased, and avoid overload. While high availability is obtained from the server's ability to perform failover or move another server in the event of failure. Thus implementing load balancing and fault tolerance can improve the service performance of siakad and avoid mistakes.

The Information System that runs at STAI Sebelas April Islamic High School Sumedang, which in processing its academic data still uses a simple computerized system. Although it has been supported by computers but only uses office standards (Microsoft Office Excel and Word) so that it allows a lot of errors in processing academic data. And cause the academic services provided by STAI Sebelas April Sumedang to be less efficient, and lead to difficulties in finding data and taking up relatively long time in making reports. To help in resolving these problems, it is necessary to have a new academic information system so that any work related to data processing can be reduced by the level of error and can provide satisfactory services to system users.

The student academic portal is one of the Academic Information Systems at The University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM). The ULM student academic portal can only be accessed by the ULM students. It can be used for academic guidance, managing student study plans, printing test cards, filling out questionnaires, and viewing exam results (assessment). However, since its release in 2016, there has been no publication regarding evaluations on the website-based ULM student academic portal. Evaluation is one of the stages in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This stage allows the user to assess the system. This study aims to evaluate the academic portal of the ULM students. Evaluation is carried out to determine the user's evaluation of the existing system. The evaluation method used is the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). With this method, users can assess the ULM Student Academic Portal from various aspects: Novelty, Stimulation, Dependability, Efficiency, Perspicuity, and Attractiveness. The results of this study indicate that the Perspicuity aspect gets a high score while Novelty gets a low score.
