The The article highlights the system of educational process organization during module 1 of the subject “Internal Medicine” at the Department of Endocrinology and the Department of Internal Medicine No 1, Immunopathology and Allergology named after academician Neiko Ye.M. of Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University. The possibilities of combining long-term experience and the traditions of national medical school with the principles of the credit-module system are described.

In order to improve the quality of studying of fourth-year students of the Medical Faculty and the Foreign Citizens Training Faculty, as well as to intensify the educational process at the Department of Internal Medicine, Clinical Immunology and Allergology of Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University a modern class-discussion was introduced. For a successful discussion a clear organization of the class has been proposed. It implies careful planning, clear implementation of the rules of the discussion by all its participants, compliance with certain regulations. The class-discussion consists of the following main stages: entrance testing by QR-code for quick assessment of the level of knowledge and obtaining rating indicators from individual sections of the discipline; short summary multimedia presentation on modern methods of diagnosis and principles of treatment of the diseases of a certain profile; application of the elements of role-play (simulation): students’ role-playing of the patient, family doctor, laboratory doctor, doctor of functional diagnostics, doctor-specialist, the head of the hospital with the subsequent modeling of various clinical situations. Thus, the class-discussion in the proposed form with elements of interactive learning is a versatile type of practical lesson, which increases students' ability to think analytically; develops research, communication, heuristic, and leadership skills as well as the ability to make informed decisions about the patient's further clinical route. It contributes to the consolidation and integrated application of the knowledge obtained during the study of the discipline.

The medical faculty at Novorossiysk University in Odessa (nowadays - Odessa National Medical University) was established in 1900. The aim of the review is to outline the impact of medical scientists from Kazan University on forming the lecturing staff of the medical faculty in Odessa. The article reviews previously published and newly discovered source data. The first head of the department of diagnostic medicine and propaedeutics of the medical faculty was Sergey Vasilyevich Levashov, professor of Kazan University. He took up the position of professor at the department of internal medicine of the teaching hospital of Kazan University in June of 1886. In January of 1903, he was transferred to Novorossiysk University, which was a solid addition for the new faculty. Professor Leontiy Ivanovich Uskov followed professor Levashov on his way from Kazan to Odessa. In 1889 he graduated from gymnasium in Tambov, in 1894 - from medical faculty of Kazan State University magna cum laude, worked as a military doctor, since 1900 - as an ordinary resident of professor Levashov at the department of internal medicine of the teaching hospital of Kazan University. In 1903, Professor Nikolay Mikhaylovich Popov (in 1894-1903 - professor of the department of mental diseases at Kazan University) also transferred to Odessa. Professor Popov was the founder and the first head of the department of neurology and mental diseases in Odessa. Alexey Erastovich Yanishevsky, who was the student of Professor N.M. Popov in Kazan, followed him to Odessa. Another student of Professor Popov, Vladimir Nikolaevich Obraztsov, who graduated from medical faculty of Kazan University in 1898 and was recommended by Professor Popov for extraordinary residency at the department of mental diseases at Kazan University a year after, transferred to Odessa in 1904. Another alumnus of Kazan University, Bronislav Ivanovich Vorotynsky, was teaching at Novorossiysk University. In 1901 he left the position of extraordinary assistant professor of the department of mental diseases at Kazan University after being appointed as a head doctor of the Odessa city mental hospital; since 1905 he was a freelance university lecturer of the department of neurology and mental diseases at Novorossiysk University. Therefore, the lecturing staff of one of the country’s oldest medical schools contributed to establishing the new site of higher medical education in Russia.

Aim: The aim of the study was to evaluate the clinical outcome in the use of neuroprotective agents in the acute period of ischemic stroke. Material and Methods: The study was performed on the basis of the stroke of the Center for Reconstructive and Rehabilitation Medicine (University Clinic) of the Odessa National Medical University. A retrospective analysis of clinical outcomes of 115 patients with acute stroke was conducted. Results: An average NIHSS score at discharge was 4.1±0.1 points when treated with no refinery, then it reached 3.6±0.1 points when using peptidergic drugs, and 3.4±0.1 when using D-fdf. 3.1±0.1 points. When using D-FDF, the MMSE score was 3.5±0.1 points, whereas when using cholinergic agents, this index did not exceed 26.9±1.5 points, and when using peptidergic agents - 26.8±1.4 points. Conclusion: The use of neuroprotective agents positively affects the effectiveness of neuro-rehabilitation in patients with acute stroke. The best results in three months after the hospitalization were obtained for peptidergic agents and D-fructose-1,6-diphosphate.

The human sacrum shape and its metamorphoses should be considered due to their effect, primarily mechanical, predisposing for the vertebral column function evolution. The aim of the study is to define the human sacrum shapes and explain for such variability. The object of the study is represented with 68 sacrums obtained from the review collection of anatomical study preparations of the Bogomolets National Medical University Department of Anatomy. Each of the known human sacrum shapes represents the stage of the process of “sinking” of the sacral vertebrae bodies into the sacrum, with simultaneous fixation of external apices of their lateral parts in the sacroiliac joint. Generally, metamorphoses of the sacrum shape make up an accommodation for the new mechanical conditions as well as causal external factors. The sacrum continuously sustains multiple factors’ effects in each moment of the human life, which affects its shape and metamorphoses. The analysis of the human sacrum shape and functions reveals important instances: first, certain parts of the sacrum don’t preserve permanent relations; secondly, alterations in these relations keep to a certain sequence. This issue permits us to consider various sacrum shapes as sequential stages of the same process, occurring in the human body.

Introduction. The entry of the Ukrainian state into the European educational space, bringing in line domestic educational standards of future medical profe-?sionals’ training to European ones led to the reform of higher medical education, expanding the content of educational programs, introducing new methods and technologies of teaching students and improving forms of cooperation of teachers and students in medical establishments of higher education. In this regard, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine decided to introduce a licensed integrated exam for students of medicalestablishments of higher education, which aimed to identify not only the level of training of graduates of domestic medical establishments, but also to compare their training with European and world levels.The purpose of the article is to reveal the history of the introduction of a licensed integrated medical exam in Ukraine, the content of the system of students’ training for it, the positive aspects and shortcomings of the first experience of this form of state certification in various medical establishments of higher education. Methods. During the work on the article the following main research methods were used: analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, descriptive. Results. The history of the introduction of the licensed integrated exam in medicine in Ukraine during the end of the 20th – the first quarter of the 21st century in Ukraine is revealed in the article. The sites of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Testing Center at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, which contain state documents on the feasibility of the system of implementation of a licensed integrated medical exam; information about the experiment in some medical etablishments of higher education of Ukraine and the first experience of implementing licensed state certification in medical universities, schools, colleges and academies in the Ukrainian state are presented and analyzed. It was established that the experiment was initially conducted in some establishments of higher education since 1996 with further discussion of its results, and in 1998 the licensed integrated exam has become mandatory for all medical establishments of higher education of Ukraine that train specialists in “Medicine” and “Pharmacy”. Since 2000 it has become mandatory for specialists in “Dentistry”, and since 2004 exams have become mandatory for interns and in 2007 they have become mandatory for interns-dentists. Particular attention is paid to the content, structure and stages of implementation of this exam, analysis of the first results of its implementation and assessment of training for the exam by teachers and students of Ukrainian medical establishments of higher education. A comparative description of the methods of training, organization of the exam, information material for it, forms of independent training for the exam of students in medical establishments of higher education of different levels of accreditation is given. The experience of teachers’ work at such medical establishments of higher education as Bukovynian State Medical University, Vinnytsia National Medical University named after M.I. Pyrohov, Zaporizhzhia State Medical University, Ternopil State Medical University named after Ivan Horbachevsky, Kharkiv National University of Pharmacy, Zhytomyr Institute of Nursing, Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy and others. Originality. The experience of introduction of the licensed integrated examination in medical estab-?ishments of higher education of Ukraine of different levels of accreditation is systematized for the first time.
