In the overall urban environment the urban waterfront landscape area plays a dual function of landscape and culture, and is an important incubator for the natural ecology of the city. Therefore, the shaping of the locality of the urban waterfront space is not only to create a beautiful city card, but also to improve the ecology of the city and the inevitable requirements of waterfront landscape construction. This paper first analyses the basic theory of urban waterfront landscape, and then conducts an in-depth study on the principles of urban waterfront landscape design under the ecological design concept. Solutions are proposed for the current problems of urban waterfront landscape design, and feasible landscape design methods are proposed in conjunction with the concept of ecological urbanism. The urban landscape is seen as a resource, guided by the theories of ecology and landscape ecology, and the principles of the ecological design concept, with a view to establishing a harmonious and symbiotic relationship between the environment, the landscape and people, and meeting people's needs and spiritual aspirations.

To summarize the problems and needs of the current rural life, identify the pathway that suits the sustainable development of rural areas, and propose the design concept and method that meet the current rural ecological design requirements. Use the organized research approaches. This chapter makes a case study of Nanma Village, provides the theoretical and design practice reference for the rural sustainable development in China, and establishes the knowledge and methodology system that meets the requirements of rural sustainable development. This chapter proposes the design concept and method in line with the current requirements of rural ecological design, suggests that the current village design should be adapted to “local conditions,” and indicates that the harmonious development between human and environment will be a new possible direction for the rural sustainable development and design in future.

With the rapid economic development of our country in the 21th Century, the plant landscape design of city has changed. The scale of plant landscape design in city is improved into more large level gradually in its developing process. In this paper, we explore the green plant landscape ecological design methods and have the analysis of plant landscape situation and existing problems. Combines the city region characteristic property and culture, the arbor is backbone's biological community, abides by law of nature shown by this locality forest plants vegetation zone middle. From a macroscopic planning angle, we make clear and definite the notion of city plant landscape in the level of theoretical research, separate the plant landscape in city from in countryside or in the natural protection area, and reveal the characteristic of plant landscape in city which is a special ecological environment.

Landscape Design Concept of Kedungjati Train Station in Grobogan Regency Central Java. Kedungjati train station is one of the oldest stations in Indonesia which was built by NISM (Nederlandsh Indische Spoorweg Maatschappij). It was inaugurated in 21 May 1873. Kedungjati Station is currently expanding its functions. There are some activities that do not support or threatening future concervation goals of the train station, since there a no landscape design concept yet. Therefore, it is necessary to have a conceptual design planning as a start of supporting the Kedungjati train station site conservation an development. This study aims to determine the additional of functions at the Kedungjati Station and share zones of the Kedungjati Station so that it can support preservation of station historic buildings by accommodating current functions. The concept of landscape design at Kedungjati Station is done by collecting biophysical, social, historical and managerial policies on the site, then analyzing and synthesizing. Some old features of the train facilities shall be conserved and utilize as object of interest at the station. The concept of landscape design that supports the preservationof buildings as cultural heritage buildings is the Indis landscape design concept.
