In this study, the writer chose the “Akeelah and the Bee” novel to be analyzed the important of moral values as a part of our life. For that reason the writer wants to investigate and doing research in the library. The formulation of problem in this research is “ What are the moral values as reflected in the novel “ Akeelah and the Bee”. The methodology of this study is qualitative study. it is means that it does not need statistic approach to explore the material. The primary data is scrip from the movie “Akeelah and the Bee”. The secondary data is taken from many literary books and some relevant materials to support and complete the primary data sources. The result of this study is there are some moral values in the “Akeelah and the Bee” novel. They are love and affection, sacrifice, sorry and Apologize, optimism, honesty, kind and friendly, hardworker, ambition, not easily to surrender, firm, serious and discipline, and helper.

Literary work is a personal reflection of the author. The purpose of this study is to describe Moral Values in Kyria's My Perfect Sunset Novel. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. Qualitative research is done by not prioritizing numbers, but prioritizing the depth of appreciation of the interaction between concepts that are being studied in an implicit manner. Based on the results of overall data research Moral Value Analysis in My Perfect Sunset Novel by Kyria, there are 7 aspects, namely Patience, Tawakal, Worship, Help Help Work Hard, Self-Control, and Regret, as for the results of the above quotations namely: Patience is a virtue that adorns a believer, where the person is able to overcome various difficulties and remain in obedience to God even though the tribulation and trials are so terrible. The Moral Value of patience aspects in Kyria's My Perfect Sunset novel contained 2 quotes, Tawakal is a full willingness of all that it receives, and henceforth it will always have hope for everything that it wants and aspires to. The Moral Value of the aspects of resignation in the My Perfect Sunset novel by Kyria there are 2 quotes, Worship is a case of tauqifiyah namely there is no form of worship that is prescribed except according to the Al-Qur'an and As-Sunnah, Worship in Islamic sharia is the final destination that is loved and blessed. The Moral Values of the Worship aspect of Kyria's My Perfect Sunset novel contained 2 quotes, Please Help fellow social beings, humans cannot live alone. As for the Moral Value aspect, please help with Kyria's My Perfect Sunset by 13 excerpts. Working hard will get what you want even if you do it hard. As for the Moral Value, the diligent aspect of working on Kyria's My Perfect Sunset novel contained 4 quotes, Self-Control makes one accustomed to enjoying the regularity of life, accustomed to being obedient, and feeling happy. The Moral Value aspects of being able to control themselves in the novel My Perfect Sunset by Kyria there are 5 quotes, Regret is a feeling that must be felt in life. Because with regret, someone will try to be better, and minimize mistakes in his life. The Moral Value aspects of regret in the novel My Perfect Sunset by Kyria there are 23 quotes.

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to describe the reception of the community about ecranisation of Laskar Pelangi novel and its function as educative media. Methodology: This descriptive qualitative research was conducted by the literature reception synchronized approach. The research data was collected through the reference technique, content analysis, and in-depth interviewing. Data validation was checked through a triangulation source. Data analysis was performed by a synchronized analysis in literature reception and then analyzed by an inductive method, with interactive analysis model. Results: The results of this research are first, the community has good reception about ecranisation of the best-seller Laskar Pelangi that being box office film. Generally, the community assumes that the beauty of the story in the novel can be well visualized through the image and dialogue of the character’s cast, although there is a slight change in storyline and characterizations. Secondly, Laskar Pelangi film is a product of a successful creative industry both at home and abroad. Implications: Thus, the Laskar Pelangi film has functioned as an educative media for people to understand the value of human relationships with themselves, with others and environment, and with God, which is the moral value conveyed by the author. The education process is effective because the values are delivered through a means of beautiful, interesting, and touching stories.

Morality is a personal guide of distinguishing goodness from badness with their mind. Indonesian women, especially Javanese, are perceived to be moral when they possess noble character reflected in gentle, polite, loyal, and religious attitudes. Many Indonesian cultural products portray the ideal female figure in terms of physical to a moral image. One of the cultural products dedicated to illustrate the typical moral for women is Tambang Macapat. Macapat songs containing moral values for women are the song in Serat Kitab Kalam Qodrat (KKQ). This study focuses on examining the content and moral values of Serat KKQ using gender perspective, with a primary emphasis on women’s gender. The results can be used as a model for Indonesian women and their character education support. This research is qualitative descriptive with a content analysis method. The primary data are the literary works in KKQ from Mpu Tantular Museum collection, Sidoarjo and the thesis of Sri Sulistianingsih (2016) titled Kalam Qodrat book: text edits and structural analysis. The study results are related to women’s morals, respect to parents and a husband (obedient to a husband, loyal, and harmonious), determination, maintaining self-esteem (honor) and the motivation of study. Moralitas merupakan upaya untuk membimbing manusia menggunakan akalnya untuk membedakan kebaikan dan keburukan. Wanita Indonesia khususnya wanita Jawa disebut bermoral ketika memiliki budi pekerti luhur yang tercermin dari sikap lembut, santun, setia dan taat beragama. Banyak produk budaya Indonesia yang menggambarkan sosok perempuan ideal dari segi fisik hingga moralitas. Salah satu produk budaya yang didedikasikan untuk menggambarkan moral ideal bagi perempuan adalah tembang macapat. Salah satu tembang macapat yang memuat nilai moral bagi perempuan adalah tembang macapat yang ada di dalam serat Kitab Kalam Qodrat (KKQ). Fokus studi ini mengkaji isi dan nilai moral dari Serat KKQ menggunakan perspektif gender, dengan fokus utama pada gender perempuan. Hasil kajian dapat digunakan sebagai model bagi perempuan Indonesia serta untuk mendukung pendidikan karakter perempuan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dengan objek kajian serat KKQ. Menggunakan metode analisis isi. Data utama penelitian ini adalah serat KKQ koleksi museum Mpu Tantular Sidoarjo dan skripsi Sri Sulistianingsih (2016) dengan judul Kitab Kalam Qodrat: suntingan teks dan analisis struktural. Hasil dari penelitian berkaitan dengan moral (akhlak) perempuan, hormat pada orang tua, hormat kepada suami (sikap patuh pada suami, tidak durhaka, setia dan rukun), akhlak berpendirian teguh, menjaga harga diri (kehormatan) serta semangat menuntut ilmu

Great value and culture of Indonesian people that very popular around the world. The highly complex conflict in Indonesia is generally extremely concerning, particularly the normative downturn. This same real dilemma is also taking place in the world of schooling. So this study aimed to reveal the moral value and instrinsic elements form the novel Black Notice by Patricia Cornwell relate to people from different environment by interview. The data of the research were gained through triangulation technique taken from novel, book review and interview which are analysed with desrcriptive qualitatively afterwards,and describe the condition and relation which are held and process still going. The results of the study found that certain moral values and intrinsic features include the novel Black Notice by Patricia Cornwell using the Social And cultural Historical Technique and the Biographical Framework.

This study aims to describe the comparison of moral values ​​in the novel Ivanna Van Dijk by RisaSaraswati with the moral values ​​of the novel AnantaPrahadi by RisaSaraswati. The research method uses descriptive qualitative method. The data in this study were obtained by reading, recording and concluding techniques. After the data is collected, data reduction is then performed. The selected data are then classified for further analysis of similarities and differences to be compared until the conclusion of the research results. The results of this study indicate that there are differences and similarities in the moral values ​​of human relations with oneself, human relations with humans, and human relations with God. Comparison of the moral values ​​of the two novels from the aspect of moral values ​​there are differences. In the novel AnantaPrahadi by RisaSaraswati the moral values ​​of human relations with oneself are 19 quotations, human relationships with humans there are 50 quotations, human relationships with God are 8, and the total of these quotations is 149 quotations. Whereas in Ivanna Van Dijk's novel the moral value of human relations with oneself is 26 quotations, human relationships with humans there are 49 quotations, human relationships with God there are 3 quotations, and the total of these quotations is 105 quotations. Conclusion, the comparison of moral values ​​in the two novels is on the number of citations, while the equation lies in the form of quotations of moral values, which dominates the moral values ​​of relationships with others. This chapter situates Charles Brockden Brown’s Gothic and sentimental novels in relation to the broader culture of novelistic miscellany that proliferated before 1820. It considers Brown’s contributions to contemporary narrative theory, his revision of the political economy of sentimentalism and the Gothic, and the historical formalism of episodic and picaresque narratives. It offers an overview of contemporary debates about the moral value of novel reading and considers contemporary calls for a novelistic culture of literary nationalism in terms of a broader, circum-Atlantic system of literary transmission and adaptation. It offers a heuristic account of the social function of the episode or fragment in early American imaginative writings and considers how Brown theorizes his relationship to the generically variable, constitutively elliptical nature of early American literary production more generally.

Thisreserachaimsto gain a deep understanding of the moral values ​​contained in the novel Laskar Pelangi and Padang Bulan by Andrea Hirata with the study of genetic structuralism. This research uses qualitative approach with content analysis technique. The data in this researcth is words, sentences, in the form of phrases, description of characters and dialogue of figures and dialogues among the characters that indicate the existence of moral values ​​in the novel. Based on the result of the research indicate that novel Laskar Pelangi and Padang Bulan by Andrea Hirata have moral value in the form of: a) the relationship of human being with God, b) the relationship of human being with themselves, that is self awareness about obligation on themselves, c) the relationship of human beingwith human being in the social atmosphere, ie one's consciousness towards himself and the social sphere and d) the relationship of human being with the nature.  Moral values ​​in terms of the author's world view in the novel include a) the relationship of human being with the God, b) the relationship of human being with themselves, c) the relationship of  human beingwith human being in thesocialatmosphere, and d) therelationship of human beingwiththenature.

Moral Values in Guru Aini Written by Andrea Hirata ABSTRAKPenelitian ini berisi tentang nilai-nilai Akhlak Al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan dalam novel Guru Aini karya Andrea Hirata. Nilai akhlak menjadi fokus utama pada penelitian ini karena akhlak merupakan salah satu pondasi dasar dari sifat manusia yang sangat erat kaitannya dengan perilaku manusia dengan Tuhannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang mendalam mengenai nilai-nilai akhlak berupa nilai takwa, tawakal, kejujuran, keikhlasan, sabar  dan syukur dari novel Guru Aini karya Andrea Hirata. Novel tersebut memiliki nilai akhlak yang perlu diterapkan dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat serta menjadi khazanah keilmuan berkaitan antara agama dan sastra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan analisis isi. Metode kualitatif ini dapat menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis atau atau isi komunikasi berupa percakapan, teks tertulis, dan fotografi. Simpulan dari hasil penelitian ini terdapat 6 kutipan dari nilai takwal, 14 kutipan nilai tawakal, 18 kutipan dari nilai kejujuran, 4 kutipan dari nilai keikhlasan, 1 kutipan dari nilai sabar, dan 14 kutipan dari nilai syukur. Kata kunci: Nilai-nilai akhlak, karya sastra, novelABSTRACTThis study contains moral values based on Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah in the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata.
