Literary work is a personal reflection of the author. The purpose of this study is to describe Moral Values in Kyria's My Perfect Sunset Novel. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. Qualitative research is done by not prioritizing numbers, but prioritizing the depth of appreciation of the interaction between concepts that are being studied in an implicit manner. Based on the results of overall data research Moral Value Analysis in My Perfect Sunset Novel by Kyria, there are 7 aspects, namely Patience, Tawakal, Worship, Help Help Work Hard, Self-Control, and Regret, as for the results of the above quotations namely: Patience is a virtue that adorns a believer, where the person is able to overcome various difficulties and remain in obedience to God even though the tribulation and trials are so terrible. The Moral Value of patience aspects in Kyria's My Perfect Sunset novel contained 2 quotes, Tawakal is a full willingness of all that it receives, and henceforth it will always have hope for everything that it wants and aspires to. The Moral Value of the aspects of resignation in the My Perfect Sunset novel by Kyria there are 2 quotes, Worship is a case of tauqifiyah namely there is no form of worship that is prescribed except according to the Al-Qur'an and As-Sunnah, Worship in Islamic sharia is the final destination that is loved and blessed. The Moral Values of the Worship aspect of Kyria's My Perfect Sunset novel contained 2 quotes, Please Help fellow social beings, humans cannot live alone. As for the Moral Value aspect, please help with Kyria's My Perfect Sunset by 13 excerpts. Working hard will get what you want even if you do it hard. As for the Moral Value, the diligent aspect of working on Kyria's My Perfect Sunset novel contained 4 quotes, Self-Control makes one accustomed to enjoying the regularity of life, accustomed to being obedient, and feeling happy. The Moral Value aspects of being able to control themselves in the novel My Perfect Sunset by Kyria there are 5 quotes, Regret is a feeling that must be felt in life. Because with regret, someone will try to be better, and minimize mistakes in his life. The Moral Value aspects of regret in the novel My Perfect Sunset by Kyria there are 23 quotes.

<p class="Penulis">The purpose of the research is to find out the character and the moral values in the novel “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. This research is designed as qualitative research. The approach that the writer uses is qualitative. The data are collected by analyzing the data found in the novel. The analysis of the novel is undertaken on the dialogues. The result of the research is the form of character and moral values. 1) The character that emerges in the novel “To Kill a Mockingbird” is the protagonist, antagonist, and foil characters. The protagonist is 70 %, the antagonist is 18 %, and the foil character is 12 %. It means that the character who dominates in the novel is the protagonist. This novel's point is to lead the readers to appreciate others 2) There are seven moral values in the novel: respect, kindness, conscience, self-control, empathy, tolerance, and fairness. The moral value in the novel, respect gets 28 %, kindness is 10 %, conscience is 15%, self-control is 5 %, empathy is 15%, tolerance is 13%, and fairness is 15%. It means that moral values that dominate in the novel convey particularly to the readers is respect.</p>

The aim of the research was to analyze the courage and modesty as the attributes of moral value in The Old Man And The Sea. This research was descriptive qualitative research. The data were words, phrases, sentences or fragments from the first until the last chapters. The result of this research were: (1)Santiago’s being determined, being hard-working and perseverance, and optimistic of what he did (2)The attribute of being modest or modesty was displayed in various characteristics of Santiago. Some characteristics of Santiago were being unselfish, care, respect, loving, feeling lonely, sympathetic, and even feeling of regretful after killing a fish. The attribute of being modest was displayed by showing that the old man behaves as if he were the father of the young boy Manolin. In terms of being religious, the old man displayed the characteristic of being grateful to God when he realized that God had made the fish not as intelligent as human. This, in the old man’s view, made it possible that human could kill the fish. In such a feeling, he also imagined if only the fish were as intelligent as human. This novel revealed the Courage and Modesty in details.

Literature is a branch of art. About society, literature is a mirror of life that can take advantage of the values that exist in society. This study aims to describe the Language Style in the Piano Novel in Agnes Jessica's Glass Box. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. Qualitative research is carried out by not prioritizing numbers, but prioritizing the depth of appreciation of the interaction between the concepts being studied empirically in this novel, providing an understanding of course in analyzing literary works with the approach used is a pragmatic approach considering the implications of readers through their various competencies. By considering indicators of literary works and readers, the problems that can be solved through a pragmatic approach, including the various responses of certain communities to a literary work, either as an explicit or implicit reader, both in a synchronic and diachronic framework. The results showed that the language style in the novel Piano in the Glass Box by Agnes Jessica is very varied and creative. Agnes Jessicas' novel Piano in a Glass Box totals 377 pages. The total frequency of using Language Styles is 98 units. In this novel Piano di Kotak Kaca by Agnes Jessicain, there are four groups of language styles, namely comparative language styles, namely parable, metaphor, personification, and antithesis, contradictory language styles, namely hyperbole, litotes, irony, oxymoron, and zeugma.

In this study, the writer chose the “Akeelah and the Bee” novel to be analyzed the important of moral values as a part of our life. For that reason the writer wants to investigate and doing research in the library. The formulation of problem in this research is “ What are the moral values as reflected in the novel “ Akeelah and the Bee”. The methodology of this study is qualitative study. it is means that it does not need statistic approach to explore the material. The primary data is scrip from the movie “Akeelah and the Bee”. The secondary data is taken from many literary books and some relevant materials to support and complete the primary data sources. The result of this study is there are some moral values in the “Akeelah and the Bee” novel. They are love and affection, sacrifice, sorry and Apologize, optimism, honesty, kind and friendly, hardworker, ambition, not easily to surrender, firm, serious and discipline, and helper.

We have been quite familiar with art and literary work in our life. They can be music, pain or literature. Literature is human expression consisting experience, consideration, feeling, idea, spirit, and conviction in form of concrete description that arouse attraction by using language. Literature is the result of ideas that belongs to human. The result of literary works can be written work , pictures or music. Literary works in written form include the novel, poem, short story, verse, etc. While in pictures form include painting, movie, photograph, etc. And literary works in the form of music include songs that every day we listen.   This thesis is an effort to analyze the moral values in the movie entitled “47 Ronin”, which might be very useful for the researcher himself, the readers, and other researchers who might need it as source of information. There are three research problems proposed from this “47 Ronin” analyzing film. They are: (1) The moral value found on this film, (2) The moral values conveyed on this film, (3) The messages that can be delivered to the viewers. Based on the result of this study the researcher found some moral values contained in the movie”47 Ronin”, such as: friendliness, tolerance and acceptance, self-confidence, determination, honesty, positive attitude, patience, initiative and courage, motivation, self respect.  The researcher hopes those values would be useful for the Viewers and the readers of this thesis as their life guidance to be better persons.   Keywords: Moral Value, “47 Ronin” Film

<p><strong>Abstract</strong>: The purpose of the research is to demonstrate the moral values and characters in the novel “Ready Player One” by Ernest Cline. This research is designed as qualitative research. The approach that the writer used is the qualitative approach. The data are collected by analyzing the data found in the novel. The analysis of the novel is observed in the text and dialogues. The results of the research are in the form of moral values and characters analysis. 1) The moral values in the novel are: Justice is 34,62%, honesty is 26,92%, responsibility is 23,08%, and beneficence is 15,38%. 2) The characters which emerge in the novel “Ready Player One” Protagonist are 55,86%, Foil is 37,93%, and the antagonist is 6,21%. Moral values that dominate, or the novel would like to convey particularly to the readers, are Justice and Honesty. Literary work is a subtle medium in conveying the values ​​of morality in da'wah. The beauty of words in literature can provide entertainment and imply the values ​​of personality that can teach goodness. So many moral values ​​that can be presented by literary works as a means of someone to convey the message of da'wah with beautiful sentences. So in addition to the works of literature can provide entertainment, the readers can also reap the wisdom of the message of da'wah presented the author with a beautiful and interesting language. The moral value can also be derived from the character of the story in the novel as well as from the beauty of the poetic sentence presented by a poet. The theme of love in literature such as the simple novel "Garis Waktu" from Fiersa Besari and the anthology of "Asal Muasal Pelukan" from Chandra Malik is an alternative to reading that is not only entertaining but implies moral values. although the main theme in this literary work is not including religious themes, but this work contains many good moral values ​​and can be applied in the behavior of community life. da'wah method through literary works is expected to be an alternative in the planting of morality without a sense of patronizing.

Margondang belonging to the ethnic of Angkola, becomes an important part of a celebration, especially in a wedding. Traditionally Angkola Ethnic Wedding can be said to be invalid if both families, either from the groom's family or  the bride’s do not carry out this Margondang tradition. At the very first glance Margondang is a traditional dance called a tortor having movements as a medium of communication on moral values, intended not only for the bride and groom to live together, but for all the guests and participants present to be more sensitive in carrying out life. Sensitivity here is certainly related to the harmonious relationship among humans and between humans with nature so that prosperous and peaceful life can be obtained. This is the core of the implementation of Margondang tradition. This study aims at analysing the moral values of Margondang, conducted by means of  descriptive qualitative research method.  Data collection procedures are supported by observation,  interview and questionnaire  techniques, covering 20 respondents chosen randomly in randomly-selected weddings in Medan.  The results show that there are three points of moral value in Margondang: brotherhood, respect and responsibility.

<p>ABSTRAK  <br /> <br />Novel merupakan media yang dapat menjadi sarana untuk menyampaikan nilai moral kehidupan. Nilai moral dimaksudkan untuk menerangkan apa yang seharusnya dan tidak seharusnya dilakukan manusia terhadap manusia lain. Dari nilai itulah muncul  moralitas.  Novel Para Priyayi karya Umar Kayam dapat digali dari aspek moralitasnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendiskripsikan moralitas dalam novel Para Priyayi karya Umar Kayam. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode deskriptif, yaitu penelitian dilakukan atas dasar fakta yang ada. Untuk mengetahui moralitas yang terkandung dalam novel Para Priyayi digunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra, yaitu pendekatan sastra yang mengungkapkan aspek  moralitas dalam karya sastra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam novel Para Priyayi terkandung moralitas yang meliputi moralitas sebagai  kepala keluarga, moralitas sebagai guru, moralitas sebagai pemangku budaya, dan moralitas sebagai seorang yang sukses. Moralitas yang dilukiskan itu merupakan nilai atau ajaran yang  disampaikan oleh pengarang. </p><p>Kata Kunci: moralitas, sosiologi sastra, deskriptif, nilai  <br />      </p><p>ABSTRACT <br /> Novel is a medium that can be a means to convey the moral values of life. Moral values is intended to explain what man should and should not do to other human beings. From that values comes morality. Umar Kayam's novel Para Priyayi can be extracted from the aspect of his morality. This study aims to describe morality in Umar Kayam's novel Para Priyayi. This research includes qualitative research. The method used in this research is descriptive method, that is research conducted on the basis of existing facts. To know the morality contained in the novel Para Priyayi used the approach of literary sociology, the literary approach that expresses the aspect of morality in the literary work. The results show that in the novel Para Priyayi contained morality that includes morality as head of the family, morality as a teacher, morality as a cultural bearer, and morality as a success. The depicted morality is the value or teaching conveyed by the author.  </p><p>Key Words: morality, sociology of literature, descriptive, value</p>
