There is character degradation caused by rapid global progress and development and indirectly demands that humans be able to adapt to existing needs, while the purpose of writing this scientific paper is how the Indonesian people are more aware of and appreciate the importance of living up to existing values. the values contained in Pancasila. In writing this scientific paper the writer uses historical research methods. In this historical research method, the researcher uses several reference sources in the form of relevant journals and books that support this writing. The result is that there are several obstacles that often occur on the surface of everyday life, namely: first, a lack of mutual respect among others; second, the things of the World take top priority in terms of living together (the attitude of Individualism); third, decreased practice of the values that exist in Pancasila. An attitude of mutual respect and prioritizing togetherness is very important to be instilled back in the community so that these values are still upheld because they are part of the values of Pancasila and the NKRI slogan, namely Bhineka Tunggal Ika.

This study aims to determine the implementation of character education in improving the quality of education in the industrial revolution era 4.0. This is seen from how character education functions in improving the quality of education especially in the global era. Increasingly sophisticated technology will bring positive influences and negative factors in educational institutions. School institutions in maintaining this balance, it is necessary to strengthen character education in an effort to improve the quality of education in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and conducts a study of existing research, here the techniques are used through observation, interviews and others.

ABSTRACT Actualization of the value of character education based on local wisdom in the course of global perspective is done in order to equip students with noble values of the nation's culture to face the swift current of globalization. Javanese ethical values such as the principle of harmony and honor principles are presented as a study material that is an important part in discussing social changes and lifestyles of society in the global era. Included in this study is the study of the typical local wisdom of the people around Yogyakarta. The student's positive response indicates that the cultural values of our ancestral heritage still allow us to lift and revive in order to fortify the young generation today from the negative effects of global culture, since this course presents many insights into global culture that leads to pop culture, . Giving awareness to students about real-world phenomena behind the meaning of words from globalization, including discussing many things about current global issues, will be more effective if done by cultivating character education based on local wisdom. This study aims at providing an understanding of the Method of Strengthening the character education value for students in the Industrial revolution 4.0 era. In writing this study seeks to present methods that are relevant for strengthening the value of character education in students in Industrial revolution 4.0 era. The results showed that the method of strengthening the value of character education for students in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era included: a) Exemplary Method, b) Pilot Method, c) Habituation Method, d) Repetition Method, e) Training Method, f) Motivation Method. The challenges are the readiness of educational institutions and educational resources, the readiness of families, the still weak control and support of elements of society, and the shift in the community's paradigm from productivity to consumptive. Then opportunities that can be exploited are self-development faster, opportunities to become innovators in every field of expertise, students from all walks of life have the same opportunity in strengthening competitiveness in the global era.

Background : The problem of self confidence in student should be a common concern considering that we are now in global era that free for competition with countries in the world. It requires a character that is self confident that will deliver the students to have a strong believe and motivation to dare to compete with the people of various countries. Purpose : Determining the influence of character education modul of attitude and self confidence competences on the students. Research method : This research design was quasy experiment with pre-post test design. The sample were total sampling. There were 68 of population at the first year divided into two class. Class 1a was 34 students as a control group and class 1b was 34 students as a intervention group. The variable of attitude and self confidence was measured with Wilcoxon sign rank test and Mann-Whitney test. Result : The result showed that an increase on self confidence variable by application of character education modul. Statistic analysis ρ=0,009 on attitude variable of intervention group and ρ=0,317 on control group. On self confidence variable for intervention group ρ=0,001 and control group ρ=0,063. Differences of self confidence ρ=0,025. Conclusion : The coaching of character education modul was able to elevate the self confidence on students. There was significant changes on self confidence at intervention and control group.
