This article tries to analyze the posts of the Hijab Alila Instagram account related to QS. Al-Kafirun which is considered as a tolerance guide for Muslims in religion. In this case, two primary questions become the object of the study: first, How the Hijab Alila interpretation is related to QS. Al-Kafiruan; Second, how the interpretation is centered on the interpretation of experts. By using a discourse analysis approach and a content analysis model, this article found that in interpreting the QS. Al-Kafirun, the tolerances offered by Hijab Alila, are thus exclusive, but the account can put the interpretation model that feels contextual even though it is textual. Hijab Alila is impressed by the context of the decline of the letter. However, such an interpretation model is precisely able to shift the authoritative interpretation that is recognized because the media used more in demand, especially by the netizen.

This paper focuses on the frames; through which execution of Mumtaz Qadri’s editorialized by the Urdu print media of Pakistan. Eighteen editorials on the selected topic, from March 1, 2016, to April 1, 2016, are selected as a sample from five leading national newspapers viz. Jang, Nawa-e-Waqt, Ausaf, Ummat, and Islam. Freedom of expression and blasphemy depicted through consistency and discord frames is explored with the help of Galtung’s peace and violence journalism indicators. The content analysis approach is applied, with the Framing theory providing theoretical background. It has been found that Media portrayed the issue through discord frame as a dominant frame, which approved the notion of Galtung that media usually portray the conflicts through violence journalism frame. It also approved that the media have not continued framing by a uniform pace. They play an active role in opinion formation of a public. With the passage of time media changed their framing tone from discord to the consistency frames. This proves that media is conscious to enjoy the right of freedom of expression with reference to the blasphemy, in such a volatile situation.

This chapter is aimed to put the matter of how is a country image able to be constructed in hand through the medium of the online press, by evaluating The New York Times (USA), The Daily Express (England), Spiegel Online International (Germany), and Le Monde Diplomatique (France) in terms of “Turkish image and identity” throughout four months (January-April) in 2019. The author uses Van Dijk's discourse analysis approach that is based on two main principles, macro and micro discourse analysis, and the content analysis technique. It is possible with this evaluation to determine how Turkish image and identity is established and what kinds of images, expressions, and representations are used by the foreign press, as well as their approach to Turkish identity.

Gone were the days when communication among people can only be achieved by language, the popularization of computers and the soaring development of multimedia technology have brought tremendous changes to the way people communicate with each other. There is little doubt that language is the most important, but never the only, means by which we communicate and create meaning (Han, 2015, p. 415), resources for representing meaning like sound, image, color, motion and other non-verbal communication approaches are significant as well. While most of the studies prefer a content analysis way to find out the semiotic meaning in a certain advertisement, this article, however, would apply a multimodal discourse analysis approach to demonstrate how business enterprises externalize their selling points and promotional strategies in advertisements.

There has been a scholarly argument among media researchers on how best media analysts should study media perspectives on industrial crisis reporting with reference to research methods, theoretical perspectives and methods of data analysis. Content analysis and meta-analytical approach were employed to gather data from published scholarly articles and theses accessed online. One hundred and fifteen (115) studies were content analyzed, collated and identified based on those that focused their issues on media framing of labour crisis. Evidence from the studies analysed shows that the content analysis and in-depth interviews were predominantly adopted for media representations of industrial crisis, the mixed method research were adopted for data collection while media framing, agenda setting and the priming theories were mostly adopted by most of the studies. It is recommended that studies should employ critical discourse analysis to compliment researchers’ effort to examine how different ideological stances are mediated in the media to reflect social-political dominance, inequality and class struggle that characterize industrial crisis. The content presented in the media, especially with the element of fear, appears to be the most important factor in the formation and spreading of phobias related to diseases. Especially when it comes to epidemics, the influence of the media increases remarkably. Individuals now use digital media as the initial reference source, especially on issues related to their health, and tend to see social media as a reference platform. However, uncontrolled information, conspiracy theories, and information pollution spread through social media make the subject difficult to understand; online shared manipulative news, excessive and unfounded information cause fear and panic. These posts about vaccines affect the perception and attitude towards vaccines. In this study, the comments and social media posts will be analysed using content analysis and discourse analysis methods in order to reveal the effect of social media in vaccine rejection and hesitation.

This study applies qualitative research with Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) of Fairclough (1995) and the criticism on the ideological dissection of social opacities. The data collection encompasses the interactive and non-interactive techniques which involve the techniques of in-depth interviewing, observation and content analysis. Results of the analysis reveal that units of language use reflected from the texts and contexts of the ruwat puppeteer based genealogy's enactment can be traced from the use of modalities, the phrase mboten kalilan (impermissible, unable) in the decree of dhalang ruwat can be further extend to express the word unable and able to, other aspects such as politeness, metaphors, ethos which is classified into the verbal and non-verbal discourse are the devices of discursive enactment of the elite power of dhalang trah. The findings conclude that there is arising symptoms of social inequality narrowing the role and significance of the non-ruwat puppeteers. The hegemonic practice such as the discursive enactment of dhalang trah (descendent of Ki Lebdajiwa) is determined by certain associations which try to normalize certain condition. The argument which refers to the enactment of Ki Lebdajiwa and his descendants as the holder of power is enacted through transactional form, where power is centered on one point.

ABSTRACT From the perspective of invention of traditions of Eric Hobsbawm (2012) who relies on media discourse as a constitutive element of social imaginary in contemporary times, this article was developed.  Thereby, we present and discuss three narratives about the Aldeia TabokaGrande and carnival events in the Taquaruçu district of the Tocantins capital, Palmas. The fronts that build the discursive territory are those of the event's own producer, creator and creator of the Aldeia, the residents of Taquaruçu and the media discourse. To this end, it uses methodological creativity using Content Analysis, Discourse Analysis, Semi-structured Interviews and Collective Subject Discourse Analysis and finds similarities and differences in these discursive fronts, demonstrating how there are distinct projects for the narrative of recent history of Taquaruçu, Palmas and Tocantins.   KEYWORDS: Narrative Dispute; Media speech; Taquaruçu Carnival.     RESUMEN Siguiendo la perspectiva de invención de tradiciones de Eric Hobsbawn (2012) que, en la contemporaneidad, cuenta con el discurso mediático como un elemento constitutivo del imaginario social, producimos este artículo. This study aims to discuss the attitude of the Arab poet Nizar Qabbani towards peace treaties with Israel. It examines a number of poems in which the poet shows his rejection of these treaties. Using a discourse analysis approach, the study explores the poet's attitudes toward these treaties and the poetic imagery he uses to express his rejection. The study concludes that Qabbani’s attitude is marked by his rejection of such treaties, and he expressed his anger towards the Arab leaders who signed them and on the Arab nations who did not object their signature. The content analysis of Qabbani’s poetry reveals that it is characterized by directness and constructiveness in some verses. It is also marked by its distance from the simple and compound images and from the aesthetics that are always found in his romantic poetry.

A flexible model that can represent Qur’anic concept is required for people to understand the content of the Quran. In this research, we propose a Multi-Relational Latent Syntax-Semantic Analysis Model (SYNTAXLSEM) based on a combination of Arabic Semantic and six multiple relations between words, which are synonym, antonym, hypernym, hyponym, holonym and meronym, to precisely extract Qur’anic concept. The existing literatures focus only on very limited relationships between words which could not extract the in-depth concept of Qur’anic without considering the importance Arabic Semantic. Therefore, the objectives of this research are: (1) to analyse and categorize Quranic words according to Arabic Semantic patterns, (2) to propose a new model for extracting Quranic concept using SYNTAXLSEM, (3) to investigate semantic relationships between Qura’nic words, and (4) to validate the proposed model with Arabic linguistic, and Qura’nic experts. This research will be conducted qualitatively through content analysis approach a new innovative technological technique. It is expected that the model will come out with a precise analysis for extracting Qur’anic concept. This will be very significant in enhancing the overall Quran’s understanding among the society in Malaysia and Muslim’s world for sustainable society.
