Flipped Learning is one of the alternatives of teaching and learning approach in mathematics classroom. The objective of this study is exploring students’ conceptual understanding about complex number using flipped learning with handout. The subject of the study are the students in 5th semester students of mathematics education department in 2019/2020. The study used qualitative approach to describe the implementation of flipped learning.There are 31,6% of 19 respondents give score very satisfied. This result then observed by using the test with all the students understand with the definition of complex numbers. Besides they can adapt their learning activity using flipped learning with complex analysis handout. As legibility aspect of the handout, there are 52,6% of the respondents gives score satisfied and 26,3% of the respondents are very satisfied. The score indicates that the flipped learning with handout helps students to understand about the complex number concepts.

The purpose of this research is to know the description of interest, understanding of history subject, and creativity, effectiveness of teaching and learning activity in class in history subject at SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin. The research used qualitative method and the research type used was classroom action research. Descriptive research aims to give factual and accurate description regarding the facts of situation at SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin, especially on the role play  method in increasing the history learning interest. Data taken consist of primary and secondary data.The result of research indicates that role playing method in increasing the interest of  history at SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin has run well and succeeded. The assessment seen from the cognition , psychomotor, and affective aspect  of students has depicted on overall students’ learning results and objectivity. The problems faced in applying role playing method were (1) limitation of time , (2) limitation of materials which are required in the subject, (3) lack of knowledge of teacher in role playing method, and (4) less comprehension of students about role playing. Keywords: Interest and method of role playing Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran minat, pemahaman pelajaran sejarah, dan kreativitas, efektifitas kegiatan belajar mengajar siswa pada mata pelajaran sejarah di SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian deskriptif bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran secara faktual dan akurat mengenai fakta-fakta tentang keadaan Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri  2 Banjarmasin, khususnya dalam hal metode Bermain Peran (Role Playing) untuk meningkatkan minat  belajar sejarah. Data yang diambil terdiri dari data primer dan data sekunder.Hasil penelitian menunjukkanmetode Bermain Peran (Role Playing) untuk meningkatkan minat  belajar sejarah pada Mata Pelajaran Sejarah kelas XII IPS-4 SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin sudah dapat dikatakan berjalan dengan semestinya dan berhasil.Penilaian dengan melihat aspek kognitif, psikomotor, dan afektif siswa sudah menggambarkan keseluruhan hasil belajar siswa dan objektivitas.Masalah-masalah yang dihadapi dalam penerapan metode Bermain Peran (Role Playing) disini adalah (1) sedikitnya waktu, (2) materi yang dibutuhkan dalam pelajaran ini sangat terbatas, (3) guru kurangnya pengetahuan tentang metode bermain peran, dan (4) siswa kurang memahami tentang Bermain Peran.Kata Kunci:Minat dan metode  bermain peran (Role Playing)

Aim: Due to constant effort by educators to find lasting solution to student’s poor performance in classrooms, there is the need to elaborate on the systematic processes that can be adopted and employed in mathematics classroom when teaching algebraic word problems to bring about meaningful learning in improving performance. Therefore, the study gathered data and analyzed it in the end to find out the effect of teaching through constructivism. Study Design: Action research design was used for the study. Methodology: The main instrument used for the study was test items (pre-test and post-test). The sample size for the study comprised of forty-six (46) students of which nineteen (19) were female students, and twenty-seven (27) were male students. Results: In the pre–test (see Table 1), forty- two (42) out of the forty- six (46) students scored marks which are either less than half or half of the 30 marks for the test representing 91.3% of the total number of students as compared to the frequency distribution of the post – test scores (Table 2), where out of the forty six (46) students who took part in the test, thirty-eight (38) of them obtained more than half of the total mark of 30 for the test representing 82.7% of the total students number. Conclusion: The findings from the results of the study confirmed that the use of constructivist approach of teaching and learning will assist the students to have the opportunity of using their own experience to create their conceptual understanding (ability and capability), which will consequently improve their academic performance. Therefore, it is recommended that regular professional development should be organized for mathematics teachers at all levels to refresh them on practical approaches to teaching mathematics through constructivism.

General chemistry is a subject that being studied in almost every science course. The subject is closely related to the environment, so it will be very easy to learn when involve examples in everyday life. The Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach is an approach that links the learning materials with the real-world environment. This research was conducted by using a CTL approach in a general chemistry subject which is one of the compulsory subjects in Biology Education Program of Tarbiyah Faculty UIN Ar-Raniry. The aim of this study was to determine the increase of student learning activities after using the CTL approach to general chemistry lecturing activities. The design of this study used action classroom research. This study was conducted to the first semester students. The student amount was 31 students. The instrument used was an observation sheet of learning activity. The results was obtained that the activities of the student during the learning process in the first cycle reached 70% and increased to 90% in cycle II. This proves that the application of CTL approach can increase the learning student’s activity of Biology Education Studies in general chemistry courses.

The design of this study was a classroom action research design that was done by using two cycles. This study is aimed to find out the appropriate learning steps in the problem based learning method that can improve the creativity in writing speech text of the 3rd semester students in Indonesian Language Education Department. The subject of this study were the 3rd semester students in Indonesian Language Education Department. The data of this study were collected by using three instruments, they are observation, interview, and questionnaire. Besides, the result of this study are the effective learning steps related with the creativity in writing a speech text. Not only to improve the creativity in writing speech text for the college students, the appropriate learning steps in problem based learning method can also improve the learning activity of college students in the classroom. That improvement was proven by their responses which show that they are agree with the application of the problem based learning method. Thus, this study suggested the other researchers that observe this kind of topic to be able to research this kind of study from the other aspects.

This study aimed to describe 1) the application of Blended Learning in extensive and intensive reading subjects, and (2) the students’ perception of the application of blended learning.  The subject of this study was the students of the English education department at the Muhammadiyah University of Enrekang. The data in this study were the activities of students and the lecturer in the teaching and learning processes and the students’ perception of the learning process in the classroom.  The results showed that (1) the students and the lecturer were actively engaged in live learning and online conversation, and (2) the students had a positive perception of learning.

The objectives of this research are to identify how the implementation of video in teaching writing recount text and to know the students’ response about the implementation of video in teaching writing recount text. The subject were tenth grade of X-IPA of SMA Al-Fattah, Buduran, Sidoarjo in the academic 2017/2018. This research used qualitative descriptive were obtained by observing the teaching and learning activity during the implementation of video in teaching writing recount text in the class. Besides, the researcher gave questionnaire, did interview and took pictures for documentation. In this study, the teacher taught about historical event in writing recount text. There are various kind of the student’s responses, but most of them like the implementation of video in teaching writing recount text. From the result of this research, students feel more enjoy with the application of video media in learning than not using any media.

The aim of this research is to increase the concepts understanding and the student's competences to measure through the application of contextual teaching and learning models. The subject of this research was abut 40 the first level student's of SLTPN 1 Pontianak. The typed of this research was Classrom Action Research (CAR) by two cycles. The aim of the cycle was Contextual Teaching and Learning that focused about base units and derived' units. Through this research, it will found the information about comprehension profile and student's competences related to the measurement. The achievement of the claasroom action research's cycles was the mastery learning of 70% student that can be done the test minimal 65%. In collecting data the measurement test is done writtenly and performance test. The instruments that used in this research are the concepts understanding and performance test, observation guidance and also the field notes. From the research result, it shown that the qualities of students' concept understanding and competences about measurement are increases. The students' concepts understanding can increase from the average 49,25% to 78,75%, and the students' competence about measurement increase too from the average 42,19% to 77,81%. The result study that analyzed by Mc'Nemar test is showing the differences significantly between the result of pretest and posttest to conceptual understanding. Therefore, in general, the application of contextual teaching and learning multimodel can increase the the students' result study significantly.Key word : Multimodel Teaching, Competences, The Contextual Aproach.

The subject of Economy, specially Accountancy major was the most important lesson in life and for the students it can raise curiosity, fairness, hard work, dicipline and creative and innovative interpreneurship. The problem which is faced nowadays is that economy/accountancy with the main topic Journal of Adaptation is percepived as the difficult lesson for some students. In addition, the teachers do not implement learning model maximally, as the consequence of this condition causes students have less interest in studying it and the result of studying is low. In this research the aspects studied were student learning activity, student’s interest, studying result and student response by using Learning Cycle Model in Accountancy lesson with main topic Journal of Adaptation. This research is a classroom action research with quatitaive approach. The result of this reseach shows that student learning activity increased; in cycle I was 3,20 (not good ) and in cycle II became 4 (good );  students’ interest  in learning at cycle II was 49,74 % (enough)  in second II became 98,05 (very good). The result of studying in cycle II was 78,96 and in cycle II increased became 85,45. The completeness in cycle I was 21 % and in cycle II was 100%. From response using questionnaire it is stated 75,8% of students agreed and liked Learning Cycle Model for accountancy with main topic Journal of Adaptation. In the teaching and learning accountancy the teachers are expected to be able to use various models in learning process in order that it can raise the interest of studying and the result of studying becomes higher.Key Word: Studying of Learning Cycle Model, interest, the result of studying, accountancy Mata pelajaran Ekonomi/Akuntansi adalah mata pelajaran yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan dan bagi siswa dapat menunbuhkan rasa ingin tahu, jujur, kerja keras,disiplin dan dapat menumbuhkan rasa kewirausahaan yaitu kreatif dan inovatif. Masalah yang dihadapi sekarang ini mata pelajaran Ekonomi/Akuntansi pokok bahasan Jurnal penyesuaian dipersepsikan sebagai pelajaran yang sulit bagi sebagian anak, disamping itu guru kurang maksimal dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran, sehingga kondisi ini menyebabkan siswa kurang berminat dalam belajar dan memiliki hasil belajar rendah. Penelitian ini aspek yang diteliti adalah Aktivitas Belajar siswa, minat belajar siswa, hasil belajar siswa dan respon siswa dengan penggunaan model pembelajaran Learning cycle pada pelajaran Akuntansi pokok bahasan jurnal penyesuaian. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat pada siklus I sebesar 3,20 ( kurang baik) dan pada siklus II menjadi 4( baik), minat belajar siswa pada  siklus I sebesar 49,74% (cukup) pada  siklus  II meningkat menjadi 98,05 (sangat baik). Hasil belajar siklus I sebesar 78,96 dan  siklus II meningkat menjadi 85,45, Ketuntasan saat siklus I sebesar  21% dan siklus II ketuntasan 100%. Dari hasil respon melalui angket dinyatakan 75,8% siswa setuju dan senang dengan model Learning cycle (siklus belajar) pada mata pelajaran akuntansi pokok bahasan jurnal penyesuaian. Guru diharapkan dalam pembelajaran Akuntansi dapat menggunakan variasi model-model yang lebih bervariasi sehingga menimbulkan minat belajar dan hasil belajar yang tinggi.Kata kunci: Pembelajaran model Learning cycle, Minat, Hasil Belajar, Akuntansi

This thesis was aimed to find teacher communication strategies during classroom interaction. This research was conducted in SMP SWASTA Brigjend Katamso 1 Medan. The subject of this research was the English Teacher. We used a qualitative approach, more specifically classroom discourse analysis, in analyzing this study since the source of the data were communication strategies which are used by an English teacher in communicating with her students during an English teaching-learning activity. We took the data by recording 90 minutes of English Lessons. We used Faerch and Kasper as a framework for this data analysis, for the reason of its specification and newness. The result showed that the five strategies used were repetition. From those strategies, code-switching was the strategy that was most frequently used by the teacher during the process of teaching and learning. The teacher`s reasons for applying those communication strategies were to overcome the communication barriers that occur between the teacher and the students to help the students understand and memorize the material more accessible. The result of the interview also showed that the students had a good perception of the implementation of communication strategies used by the teacher in the classroom. AbstrakWriting  is  also  a  productive  talent which  is  meant for  communication  to  deliver  messages in  the  shapesvof  letters  and  symbols. In the course of writing for general communication, students are expected to be able to write using several genre of text. Round Table is one of teaching technique which is implemented by cooperative learning approach. The specific purpose of this study is to prove the students responses toward Round Table techniques in improving writing skills in the Writing for General Communication course. This research used a descriptive qualitative. The research conducted in the second semester students at IKIP Siliwangi in the academic year of 2019/2020. Purposive sample is the technique that the researchers taken. The subject of this research consist of 48 students. Questionnaire grid used as instrument in this research. After analyzing the data descriptively, the results show that all of the students were actively involved during the teaching and learning activity. They have a high motivation to learn. The students understand the material easier. The learning process is interesting and not boring. They are motivated to get good achievement because they feel more valued in expressing opinions when learning. Keyword: Response, Writing, Round Table Technique AbstrakMenulis merupakan keterampilan produktif yang dimaksudkan untuk berkomunikasi guna menyampaikan pesan dalam bentuk huruf dan simbol. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada mahasiswa semester kedua di IKIP Siliwangi pada tahun akademik 2019/2020. Purposive sample adalah teknik pengambilan sampek yang digunakan oleh peneliti. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 48 siswa. Kuisioner digunakan sebagai instrumen dalam penelitian ini. Setelah menganalisis data secara deskriptif, hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa semua siswa terlibat aktif selama kegiatan belajar mengajar. Mereka memiliki motivasi belajar yang tinggi. Siswa lebih mudah memahami materi. Proses pembelajarannya menarik dan tidak membosankan. Mereka termotivasi untuk mendapatkan prestasi yang baik karena mereka merasa lebih dihargai dalam mengekspresikan pendapat saat belajar  Kata kunci: Respon, Menulis, Teknik Round Table
