AbstrakWriting  is  also  a  productive  talent which  is  meant for  communication  to  deliver  messages in  the  shapesvof  letters  and  symbols. In the course of writing for general communication, students are expected to be able to write using several genre of text. Round Table is one of teaching technique which is implemented by cooperative learning approach. The specific purpose of this study is to prove the students responses toward Round Table techniques in improving writing skills in the Writing for General Communication course. This research used a descriptive qualitative. The research conducted in the second semester students at IKIP Siliwangi in the academic year of 2019/2020. Purposive sample is the technique that the researchers taken. The subject of this research consist of 48 students. Questionnaire grid used as instrument in this research. After analyzing the data descriptively, the results show that all of the students were actively involved during the teaching and learning activity. They have a high motivation to learn. The students understand the material easier. The learning process is interesting and not boring. They are motivated to get good achievement because they feel more valued in expressing opinions when learning. Keyword: Response, Writing, Round Table Technique AbstrakMenulis merupakan keterampilan produktif yang dimaksudkan untuk berkomunikasi guna menyampaikan pesan dalam bentuk huruf dan simbol. Dalam mata kuliah Writing for General Communication, siswa diharapkan dapat menulis menggunakan beberapa jenis teks. Round Table adalah salah satu teknik pengajaran yang dapat diimplementasikan dengan pendekatan pembelajaran yang bersifat kooperatif. Tujuan khusus dari penelitian ini adalah untuk dapat mengetahui bagaiman tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan teknik Round Table dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis dalam mata kuliah Writing for General Communication. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada mahasiswa semester kedua di IKIP Siliwangi pada tahun akademik 2019/2020. Purposive sample adalah teknik pengambilan sampek yang digunakan oleh peneliti. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 48 siswa. Kuisioner digunakan sebagai instrumen dalam penelitian ini. Setelah menganalisis data secara deskriptif, hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa semua siswa terlibat aktif selama kegiatan belajar mengajar. Mereka memiliki motivasi belajar yang tinggi. Siswa lebih mudah memahami materi. Proses pembelajarannya menarik dan tidak membosankan. Mereka termotivasi untuk mendapatkan prestasi yang baik karena mereka merasa lebih dihargai dalam mengekspresikan pendapat saat belajar  Kata kunci: Respon, Menulis, Teknik Round Table

The purpose of this research is to know how to incerease the students’ learning achievement that has been applied learning contextual task-based learning model and to know the influence of contextual learning in  the task-based teaching model to improve achievemen and motivation to learn the material pe civis lesson.   This research is an action research by theree rounds. Each round consists of four phases. Design activities are observation, and revesion. The subject of the research is XI grade students of Bina Informatika Ternate accademic year 2015/2016. Data obtained in the form of a formative test results, observation sheet teaching and learning activities. The results of the research showed that students’ achivement increased from round I to III that the round 1, (70.00 % ), (92,50 %)  3 cycles, conclusions of this research is the method of cooperatif learning can be a positive influence on students motivation and achievement in material udaya politics in Indonesia. It means that this model can be used as one of the alternative learning for Pkn.            Kata  kunci: PKn, cooperative learning method

<p><em>The objective of this article is to</em><em> report a study on how Round Table Technique is implemented effectively so that it can improve students’ writing skill. This study was an action research. The subject of the research was class X-7 students of SMA Negeri Kebakkramat in the academic year 2013/2014. </em><em>The data were collected through observation, interview, diary, and test. The findings of the research show that when Round Table technique was used effectively, the teaching and learning process was described as: active learning, learner – centered, and the activities were taking turns to jot down phrases and group discussion. In order to implement Round Table technique effectively, there were some points to ponder to suit the students’ condition and need as follows: (1) determining students’ group, (2) classroom management, and (3) the adaptation to Round Table technique.</em></p>

 AbstractListening is one of compulsory subjects for the students of English education study program of STKIP Siliwangi Bandung. It is taught at the first semester as a basic for the students to enhance others skills, such as speaking, reading, and writing. In fact, the students face problems in learning listening and it makes the objectives of learning do not achieve well. So, this research is aimed at creating listening course book to help the students learn effectively. This research focuses on listening for general communication. The research employed Research and Development. This method is divided into three parts; introductional study covers need analysis, literature review, proposal arrangements, and prototype;product developmentcovers materials arrangement and course book arrangement;and testinginvolves validation from expert, and revision. The subject of the research is the first semester students of English education study program of STKIP Siliwangi Bandung. The instruments used were interview and questionnaire. Interview was conducted to gather the data related with the themes used in the course book in every unit. There were six themes obtained through the interview. Then the themes chosen were developed based on the material guideline composed by the researcher in the previous research which cover macro and micro skill. Next is validation by three experts using questionaire. The revison covered the content, display and language, then the test was re-taken to gather the feasible of the coursebook. From the computation, the mean score of content hit the precentage of 79.17, while display was 77.78 and language was 77.5. from the resut, the researchers could assume that the course book was feasible and ready to use in teaching and learning of Listening for General Communication. Key words: listening for general communication, course book. Abstract. This journal discusses the development of variations in teaching in increasing learning motivation. The learning process is an activity that involves an individual (physical and spiritual), learning activities are never carried out without a strong motivation or motivation from within the individual or from outside the individual who participates in learning activities. Therefore, the learning process requires the development and use of variations in teaching to generate student motivation. Variations in teaching include variations in teaching styles, variations in media and materials, and variations in teaching and learning interactions. Motivation has a very important role in learning activities, there is no learning activity without motivation, therefore motivation has a strategic role in achieving the goals or results of learning. The purpose of this study is to trace the extent of the use of Bengkulen folklore in the process of teaching and learning rhetorical subject. The study is a descriptive research which tries to portray the exercise of teaching rhetorical subject in which Bengkulen folklore is included. This study applies qualitative approach. The research subject deals with the fifth semester students of class A from the study program of Indonesian Language Teaching (FKIP) of Bengkulu University in the academic year of 2016-2017. The study results in that student activities change into positive direction in learning by folklore. The application of folklore to the students can improve their skill in rhetoric or public communication. It can be seen from the grades they achieve and the extent of their finishing the subject. Based on the data analyzed, the result shows that there 21 students who receive grade up 70 and their fulfillment in learning reaches 90, 84%.

<p class="abstract"><strong>Background:</strong> Advancement in technology has revolutionized the concept of teaching and learning medicine. YouTube is a popular and easily accessible tool to teach medical subjects. This study was done to evaluate the students’ perception of YouTube learning in ENT.</p><p class="abstract"><strong>Methods:</strong> This was a prospective study where a subject specific YouTube channel, ‘Learning ENT’, created by 1st author, was used to upload videos on selected topics in ENT for third professional MBBS part-1 students (n=145). Students were instructed to access the said videos from time to time throughout the year. At the end of the academic year the perceptions of students were taken and analyzed.  </p><p class="abstract"><strong>Results:</strong> 124 students responded to the online questionnaire. 123 (99.2%) watched YouTube videos on their smart phones. 70 students (56.5%) accessed the YouTube videos for ENT topics very often. 122 (98.4%) students felt that these videos made them understand the topics better. Similarly, 115 (92.7%) students felt that these videos enhanced their interest in the subject. 114 (91.9%) students felt that these videos were more beneficial for practical topics in ENT. 61 students (49.2%) perceived that the duration of videos should be 5-10 minutes. Almost equal number (47.6%) students felt that 10-15 minutes duration is appropriate. 79 students (63.7%) perceived that watching videos made the topic easy to understand and also interesting. 71 students (57.2 %) felt that there were no limitations of the said channel.</p><p class="abstract"><strong>Conclusions:</strong> When integrated with other teaching learning methods, YouTube can be an effective tool to facilitate ENT learning.</p>

<p>The background of this study is the lack of students activity in the conventional learning on desktopbased<br />visual programming subjects. As a result, many students do not understand the material provided by the<br />teacher. The purpose of this study is to determine the enhancement in the learning activity of student by<br />utilizing props inventory application program for students of SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta.<br />The research was conducted by using class action research with 2 cycles. The subject of study taken is<br />the class XI RPL A in SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta. The research object is the quality of the learning process, ie the<br />activity of learning. The experiment was conducted on 2nd semester academic year 2013/2014. The data<br />collection techniques used were observation and interviews. The Data analysis technique using the qualitative<br />analysis refers to the analysis model Miles and Huberman.<br />Based on the result of the research , we can conclude that an increase in the learning activity of precycle<br />student learning is 34,43%, in cycle 1 is 71,65%, and increased to 77,04% in cycle 2. It is proved that the<br />props inventory application program helps students to increase the learning activity on a desktop-based visual<br />programming subject .</p>

The purpose of this research is to know the description of interest, understanding of history subject, and creativity, effectiveness of teaching and learning activity in class in history subject at SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin. The research used qualitative method and the research type used was classroom action research. Descriptive research aims to give factual and accurate description regarding the facts of situation at SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin, especially on the role play  method in increasing the history learning interest. Data taken consist of primary and secondary data.The result of research indicates that role playing method in increasing the interest of  history at SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin has run well and succeeded. The assessment seen from the cognition , psychomotor, and affective aspect  of students has depicted on overall students’ learning results and objectivity. The problems faced in applying role playing method were (1) limitation of time , (2) limitation of materials which are required in the subject, (3) lack of knowledge of teacher in role playing method, and (4) less comprehension of students about role playing. Keywords: Interest and method of role playing Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran minat, pemahaman pelajaran sejarah, dan kreativitas, efektifitas kegiatan belajar mengajar siswa pada mata pelajaran sejarah di SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian deskriptif bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran secara faktual dan akurat mengenai fakta-fakta tentang keadaan Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri  2 Banjarmasin, khususnya dalam hal metode Bermain Peran (Role Playing) untuk meningkatkan minat  belajar sejarah. Data yang diambil terdiri dari data primer dan data sekunder.Hasil penelitian menunjukkanmetode Bermain Peran (Role Playing) untuk meningkatkan minat  belajar sejarah pada Mata Pelajaran Sejarah kelas XII IPS-4 SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin sudah dapat dikatakan berjalan dengan semestinya dan berhasil.Penilaian dengan melihat aspek kognitif, psikomotor, dan afektif siswa sudah menggambarkan keseluruhan hasil belajar siswa dan objektivitas.Masalah-masalah yang dihadapi dalam penerapan metode Bermain Peran (Role Playing) disini adalah (1) sedikitnya waktu, (2) materi yang dibutuhkan dalam pelajaran ini sangat terbatas, (3) guru kurangnya pengetahuan tentang metode bermain peran, dan (4) siswa kurang memahami tentang Bermain Peran.Kata Kunci:Minat dan metode  bermain peran (Role Playing)

the problems examined are: 1 learning activities of students. 2)  Teacher teaching Activity.  3) Improving learning results. The aims  of this research to.  1) Improve the students learning activity  , 2) increases teacher teaching activity.  3) Knowing the increase in the results of the study. This  study is An action classroom Research, which has been implemented in  2 cycle. The subject of this research  the students are registered on the even- in academic year of  2016/2017, numbered 20 students. The date of this research is the activity of teacing process of teacher and learning activities of the students which obtained from the observation sheet and the results of learning as measured through tests. Date analysis was conducted a descriptive statistic. The results showed if. 1) learning activities at each cycle tends to increase. This is demonstrated by average score on each cycle, in cycle I score average is 2.7 students activity increased in cycle II becomes 3.25. 2) on cycle I score an average teacher's teaching activity is increased 2.85 cycle II becomes 3.65. 3) results of study geography enhanced through generative learning model. On cycle I students who finished 13 (65%) and not completely and absolutely no 7 (35%)  with an average of 72.25 whereas  at the second cycle was increased to 17(85%) The students who did not complete 3 students (15%).

General chemistry is a subject that being studied in almost every science course. The subject is closely related to the environment, so it will be very easy to learn when involve examples in everyday life. The Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach is an approach that links the learning materials with the real-world environment. This research was conducted by using a CTL approach in a general chemistry subject which is one of the compulsory subjects in Biology Education Program of Tarbiyah Faculty UIN Ar-Raniry. The aim of this study was to determine the increase of student learning activities after using the CTL approach to general chemistry lecturing activities. The design of this study used action classroom research. This study was conducted to the first semester students. The student amount was 31 students. The instrument used was an observation sheet of learning activity. The results was obtained that the activities of the student during the learning process in the first cycle reached 70% and increased to 90% in cycle II. This proves that the application of CTL approach can increase the learning student’s activity of Biology Education Studies in general chemistry courses.
