Creative writing exercises study in 1-8th grade Turkish textbooks

Improving students` writing ability enables self-expression development as well as high-order thinking skills such as creative thinking. Alongside the active teaching in the classroom, the suitability of textbooks for creative writing contributes to the development of students’ writing skills. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to examine the distribution of creative writing exercises in Turkish primary school textbooks in terms of grade level, theme, instruction, and text type. The data of this study conducted on the strength of the qualitative approach, was based on the document analysis. The data sources were derived from 1-8th grade Turkish textbooks and workbooks belonging to various publishers approved by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) between the academic years 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. In the scope of the research, Turkish textbooks and workbooks, which are affiliated with the MEB and private publishers, were analyzed. The content analysis method was used in evaluating the data. According to the results obtained from the research, it was identified as there is no balanced distribution in terms of grade level, theme, instruction, and text type. Some suggestions were made in accordance with the research findings.

Creative thinking skills are an important skill that must be owned by students, but most students still have low creative thinking skills. This research aims to describe students' mathematical creative thinking skills through open ended problems. The data collection technique used in this study is to provide mathematical creative thinking skills using open ended questions in students of 8th grade torsina 3 Singkawang as many as 2 problems. The data analysis techniques used in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion withdrawal. The result of this study is the mathematical creative thinking ability of some students who work on open ended problems have fulfilled the components of profitability and flexibility for problem number 1 but there are also those who do not meet all components. And for problem number 2 most students do not meet all three components of mathematical creative thinking skills. So it can be concluded that the mathematical creative thinking skills of junior high school students who work on open ended problems are in the low category.

The study about investigation of The Effect of Enrichment in the Concept of Pascal-laws Based on STEM education on critical and creative thinking skills of 8th-grade Students are conducted as an effort to follow up the lack of development of Critical and Creative Thinking Skills on the students. The research was conducted using quasi-experiment design, the type of the one group pretest-posttest designs and involved eighth-graders aged between 14-15 years as research subjects for five meetings. The data was obtained through student worksheets and observations. Data processing to see N-Gain was used Microsoft Excel 2007 and the results showed that there was an increase in the percentage of critical thinking skill scores from 58% (pretest) to 89% (post-test) with high category increase (N-gain = 0.74). while student creativity also rose from 15% (pretest) to 81% (post-test) with moderate category increase (N-gain = 0.68). Students' creation tools on STEM's educational enrichment program are Hydraulic Glass Cleaners.

UPSI-Sekolah Bitara Visual Art Program was a smart, collaborative project involving Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) and SekolahKebangsaanDato’ Kamaruddin, BehrangStesen, Perak. The UPSI’s Sekolah Bitara Visual Art Program was a smart collaborative project held at the SekolahKebangsaanDato’ Kamaruddin, BehrangStesen, Perak. This program was implemented based on the concept of sharing and exchange of the knowledge of visual art involving several teachers and students, aged 8-12. This ‘visual art expression’ program was carried out in several series, which began in 2014 and ended in 2018, consisting of six (6) visual art projects as follows: batik craft, print art, ceramic art, fine metal art, wall murals, and textile art.The program involving art appreciation, textile art, and legacy of art helped exposed students and provided a rich experience for such participants in learning visual art through activities that enhanced their higher-order thinking skills. This six-series project produced 180 visual art works in various disciplines of art, which were put on display at the UPSI’s Art Gallery. In addition, students’ creative wall murals were displayed on the walls of the school building. Surely, such accomplishments signify their innovative and creative thinking that can help develop students holistically with strong intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and physical attributes, which are in line with the aspirations of the National Education Philosophy. Surely, more efforts of similar nature are required in the future to further enhance such a program to develop students who are highly creative, innovative, and competitive.

The study aimed to reveal the degree of horizontal integration in life skills in the second grade curriculum in Jordan. To achieve the objective of the study، the researcher used the analytical descriptive method.The study sample included the Arabic and Islamic education books and social and national education. The results of the study indicated that manual in its first and second section. The life skills to be included in the sample study books included (51) skills divided into five basic skills: creative thinking skills، problem solving، the communication، dealing with others، decision making. Results also included a harezontal integration in the skills of life between the Arabic language and Islamic educationby (38.3%) ، which is high according to the criterion of the study. There is also a horizontal integration in life skills between the Arabic language book and the social and national education guide by (37.7%)، High percentage، and finally the existence of horizontal integration is very weak in the skills of life between the book of Islamic based on education and the huide of social and national education by (24%). The study came out with several recommendation، the most important of which are: Enrichment of the curriculum on the subject of life skills، and their inclusion in an integrative manner baser on a standard of integration developed by the directorate of curriculum. And taking into account problem solving skills during the construction and design of the curriculum.

In order to achieve the goal of national education, students are required to have creative thinking skills, especially in abstract subjects such as chemistry. This study aims to discern the profile of creative thinking in class XI SMA Negeri 3 Pemalang on the Solar Cell concept material for the 2019/2020 Academic Year. The research subjects were 34 students of class XI of Pemalang 3 High School. The research method used is the quantitative descriptive method. The variable of this research is the ability to think creatively measured through written tests in the form of essay questions. Retrieval of data using questions that were developed from four indicators of creative thinking, each question was scored with a score of 1-4 with the criteria of each indicator. Based on the research results of the creative thinking ability of 3 Pemalang State High School students is 16.6 (56%) out of a maximum score of 32. When viewed from the ability of students based on fluency indicators of 1.8 (56%), Flexibility 2.5 (75%), Originality 2.4 (65%), and Elaboration 1.6 (40%). The results of the students' creative thinking abilities are lacking. Therefore, the ability of students to think creatively needs to be improved in the learning process.

The aim of the research was to explore the effects of enriched workshop training given to pre-school students on students’ creative thinking skills. The research was conducted during the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 academic year. The mixed research design was used in the study. On the quantitative stage of the research, a single-group pre-test-posttest experimental design was applied. In order to identify the effects of the enriched training provided at different workshops, students were administered Torrance Test of Creative Thinking (Figural Form) as a pre-test-post-test. The study group of the research was comprised of 129 students in total including 81 students in the first group and 48 students in the second group, all taking training at the “Curious Junior Education Center” supported by Istanbul Development Agency and implemented by Pendik District National Education Directorate. According to the findings obtained from the quantitative method, a variation was identified in the test averages for student creative thinking skills (fluency, originality, elaboration, abstractness of titles, resistance to premature closure) before and after the training. Post-test averages for students’ creative skills increased. Paired samples t test was performed to determine whether or not the variation- increase- was significant. According to the t test result, enriched workshop training affects students’ total creative thinking skills significantly. In other words, enriched workshop training has developed students’ creative thinking skills positively. In the qualitative method, parents, students and teachers reported their views about the quality and effectiveness of the enriched workshop training. The purpose of this study was to describe the creative thinking skills of junior high school students based on mathematics anxiety and gender. Aspects of creative thinking skills used in this study are fluency, flexibility, and novelty. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The instruments used were open-ended questions consisting of algebra and geometry questions, mathematics anxiety questionnaires, and interview guidelines. The study was conducted in class IX E of SMPI Al Azhar 12 Rawamangun Jakarta. The subject of this study consisted of four students, they are male student with low mathematics anxiety, female student with low mathematics anxiety, male student with medium mathematics anxiety, and female student with medium mathematics anxiety. The results of the mathematics anxiety questionnaire showed that none of the students in class IX E had high math anxiety. There are differences in the fulfillment of aspects of creative thinking in terms of differences in mathematics anxiety and gender levels. Students with low math anxiety fulfill aspects of fluency, flexibility, and novelty in algebra and geometry questions. Students with medium math anxiety fulfill aspects of fluency and flexibility both in algebra and geometry questions. Female students fulfill aspects of fluency, flexibility, and novelty both in algebra and geometry questions. Male students fulfill aspects of fluency and flexibility in algebra questions, while in geometry questions the aspects that are fulfilled are fluency, flexibility, and novelty.

Therefore national education have to as according to constitution, realizing democratic society, esteem the human right and form of government smart Indonesian nation.
