PurposeThe coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has had major impacts on the performance of construction projects that have adopted social distancing measures. This study examines the effect of social distancing measures on project schedule performance through job reorganization on construction project sites.Design/methodology/approachResponses were obtained through a survey of 154 construction projects and analysed using the partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) technique.FindingsThe findings established that social distancing has a negative effect on schedule performance, social distancing has a positive effect on job re-organization and job re-organization has a positive effect on schedule performance. Additionally, the results indicate that job re-organization partially mediates the relationship between social distancing and schedule performance, while social distancing moderates the relationship between job re-organization and schedule performance with low social distancing having the stronger positive effect.Originality/valueThis study contributes theoretically to a greater understanding of the impact of adopting COVID-19 safety measures such as social distancing on the schedule performance of construction projects. The study also shows how social distancing could lead to schedule performance through job reorganization.

The concept of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) is related to the disclosure of Islamic Social Reporting (ISR) which guarantees that the funds invested in the company are well managed and will provide adequate returns so that this can attract investors and indirectly can increase the company value. This research aims to analyze the indirect effect of GCG rating on company value through the disclosure of ISR and it also attempts to analyze the direct effect of GCG and ISR toward company value, and the effect of GCG towards ISR. This research used quantitative and descriptive approaches with secondary data. The state-owned enterprises in the manufacturing and mining sector listed in the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) were selected as the sample of the study. The method used in this study includes descriptive statistical analysis, partial least square, and mediation test. The result shows that GCG has a positive effect on company value and ISR disclosure, while ISR disclosure does not affect company value. However, GCG does not affect company value through ISR disclosure. This indicates that ISR disclosure has no mediation effect on the relationship between GCG and company value.

Abstract-The purpose of this study is 1) to find out and analyze the effect of investment decisions on firm value, 2) to find out and analyze the effect of leverage on firm value, 3) to find out and analyze the effect of profitability on firm value; 4) to find out and analyze the effect of company size on company value. The population in this study are cosmetics and household use manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2011-2018. Sampling was done purposively with predetermined criteria. The data analysis of this study uses the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. PLS is a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) equation model based on components or variants. Based on the hypothesis test, the first hypothesis is obtained; which states that investment decision variables have a significant positive effect on firm value is acceptable. Second hypothesis test results; which states that leverage has a significant positive effect on firm value is acceptable. Third hypothesis test results; which states profitability has a significant positive effect on firm value is acceptable. The fourth hypothesis test results; which states that company size has a significant positive effect on the value of the company can not be accepted (rejected). The result of the model accuracy test by looking at R Square Adjusted which contributed the model in explaining the structural relationship of the studied variables was 0.604 (or 60.40%). Keywords: Investment Decisions; Leverage; Profitability; Firm Size and Firm Value.

Signaling theory suggests that when high-quality entities signal their potentials such as intellectual capital to the market, its participants (e.g., investors) re-evaluate their worth and make informed decisions therefrom. This paper examines the consequences of intellectual capital disclosures with respect to firm value, information asymmetry, and cost of capital. Voluntary intellectual capital disclosure (ICD, measured in index) affects firm value (FV, measured in Tobin’s Q) through reducing both information asymmetry (IA, measured in bid-ask spread) and cost of capital (COC, measured in weighted average cost of capital). 67 Indonesian manufacturers were purposively selected whose financial reports published in Indonesian Stock Exchange official website and Bloomberg provide the data for the research. A research model is estimated to the data through a partial least square analysis. Results provides substantial evidence on the positive effect of ICD on FV and negative effect on IA; negative effect of IA on FV; negative effect of COC on FV; and positive effect of IA on COC. On a separate analysis, IA is shown to significantly mediate the relationship between ICD and FV.

The research aimed to assess the impact of the Risk Profile on the banking industry bond ratings in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and have a rating for bonds at PT PEFINDO. Sampleswere selected by purposive sampling method. The population were banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2018. The population was 44 banks and 16 banks were selected as samples. The analysis a used descriptive statistics and Partial Least Square (PLS) for testing structural and structural models. The results show that Non-Performing Loan (NPL)and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) directly have a significant direct positive effect on bond ratings, and security directly do not have a significant effect on bond ratings, security strengthen risk relationships credit with a bond rating. However, security weakens the relationship between liquidity risk and the bond rating. The variables indicate that these variables can explain the bond rating of 44,4% while the remaining 55,6% is influenced by other variables not contained in the research model.
