Abstrak: Manga merupakan salah satu karya sastra yang barasal dari Jepang. Manga Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? adalah Manga karya Koi. Manga ini menceritakan tentang kehidupan sehari-hari tokoh utama bernama Cocoa Hoto. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti ungkapan bahagia dan faktor penyebab bahagia dalam Manga Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? volume 1. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan psikolinguistik. Penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa temuan sebagai berikut. Pertama, ungkapan bahagia tidak hanya diungkapkan karena tindakan tokoh utama sendiri, tetapi juga karena ucapan dan tindakan dari tokoh lain. Berikutnya, Ungkapan bahagia masing-masing tokoh berbeda sesuai kondisi bahagia dan faktor penyebabnya. Selanjutnya, Faktor penyebab bahagia dalam Manga Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? volume 1 terdiri dari: 1) kenikmatan ada 7; 2) pekerjaan ada 1; 3) masa depan ada 2; 4) persahabatan dan dukungan sosial 9; 5) hubungan sosial ada 2; 6) gratifikasi ada 5; 7) kesehatan ada 2; 8) masa lalu ada 1. Dan faktor penyebab bahagia yang paling banyak adalah persahabatan dan dukungan sosial.Kata kunci: Psikolinguistik, Ungkapan Bahagia, Faktor Bahagia, Manga Abstract: Manga is one of the literary works that originated from Japan. Manga Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? is a work manga by koi. This manga tells about the daily life of the main character named Cocoa Hoto. This research aims to researching the expression of happiness and the factors that cause happiness in the Manga Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? volume 1. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method and the approach uses a psycholinguistic approach. The data in this research are happy expressions taken from the words of the characters. This research produces the following findings: First, the expression of happiness is not only expressed by the actions of the main character himself, but also because of the words and actions of other characters. Next, the happy expressions of each character differ according to happy conditions and their causal factors. Hereinafter, Factors causing happiness in the Manga Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? volume 1 consists of: 1) pleasure there are 7; 2) work there are 1; 3) future there are 2; 4) friendship and social support there are 9; 5) social relations there are 2; 6) gratification there are 5; 7) health there are 2; 8) past there are 1.  And the most contributing factors to happiness are friendship and social support. This paper  aims to elaborate the  lessons life from Santiago as the main character in the novel The Alchemist, especially in the current milineal  era where the presence of technology is very rapid. This condition requires young people to keep learning human values that technology does not thought it. Literary works as one of the ideas that produce cultural works reflect human values through characters in novel stories. This journal focuses on the study of the main characters using a dynamic literary approach. In analyzing the text data, the  researchers used the qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study teach the reader several things, namely; First, the life is a struggle that must be resolved wholeheartedly. Second, everyone must learn from anything and anyone including animals because whatever happens in the universe is actually a teacher. Then the human  must dare to fight for and be responsible for life by accepting all the consequences. Finally, each problem of life must be faced patiently.

Based on the geographical distribution of Nias, it is divided into 4 regions: North Nias, South Nias, East Nias, and West Nias. The focus areas of this research are traditional houses in South Nias, one of which is Omo Sebua (a noble house) in Bawomataluo village. The object of this study was chosen because the traditional house Omo Sebua is rich in traditional Nias decorative symbols on the parts of his house.The purpose of this research is to know the meaning of the symbol on the inside wall of Omo Sebua. This research using qualitative descriptive method with the approach of Visual language to read the symbol. The result of this research reveals that the special Visual language of Omo Sebua tells about the social status and daily life of the Nias people, namely the noble symbol. The symbol is inspired from important events at that time. The symbol also implies that anyone who visits should bow to homeowners. Keywords: Nias; Omo Sebua; symbols; visual Language

This research was made based on the number of people making mistakes in communicating in the social environment. Some errors in communication often result in ambiguity, due to the delivery of unclear information. Related to the topic the researcher made the research that analyze the flouting maxims in Wonder Woman movie and find the reason why the characters flouted the maxims by using the theory of Grice (1975).  This research used qualitative descriptive method by Sudaryanto (2015) to analyze data. The results of the research showed that there were 12 data which were flouting maxims namely 1 data flouting maxim of quality, 2 data flouting maxim quantity, 2 data flouting maxim manner and 7 data were flouting maxim relations. The conclusion based on the results of this research is that all the characters in Wonder Woman movie was flouted all of the maxims, it can be seen from the result of analyzed the data, especially in the main character. The most frequently flouting maxim is maxim relation. Keywords: Communication, Cooperative Principle, Flouting Maxim.

The purpose of this research was to know the social relationship through Sorokin's theory. This research was done through a film titled Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them which was released in 2016 ago. The data was taken from the utterance of character dialogue through documentation, the process of watching, and post watches the film. The method of research used a qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study indicated that: (1.) Knowing the types of social relationships: Social interaction phenomena, non-social interaction phenomena in the film based on Sorokin’s theory, (2.) Getting 7 data about a social relationship were: three data about social interaction phenomena conceptual social interaction phenomena by a human in friendship, social interaction phenomenon by a human in ethnic, social interaction phenomenon in helping the economy, (3.) Obtained seven data also for sub-chapter cause and effect using Tsapeli's theory as it was basic theory

Background: The development of technology has encouraged a more developed civilization. However, one of the impacts is causing low students’ interest in literature. In this case, optimizing digital media is one way of developing literary works. Based on this problem, the researchers set the question: What is the role of the podcast "Sandiwara Sastra" as an alternative to developing Indonesian literary works?. Purpose: This study aims to increase students' interest in literature and make the delivery of literary works flexible. Method: This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The qualitative method uses an online survey that focuses on respondents' opinions with 44 college students. The sample criteria used are college students aged 19-25 years and have listened to podcasts. Then, the researcher used the interview method using ten interviewees to strengthen the results of the online survey analysis. Results: The role of the "Sandiwara Sastra" podcast can influence students' interpretations to study literature more flexibly and increase their interest in literature. Recommendation: This study is expected to increase college students' understanding and interest in literature through digital podcast media. Limitation: The limited variety of respondents who only cover college students, so generalization needs to be improved

This research is aimed to analyze the main character personality short stories by Roald Dahl  as Depicted in her Short Stories. In conducting this research, the researcher applies the qualitative descriptive method. The researcher uses documentation as the technique of collecting data. All the necessary data which related to the research are gathered by doing several steps. The first tep is the researcher selects the short stories by Roald Dahl. The second step is the researcher gathers the literary reference that related to psychological approach. From the analysis the researcher finds that anyone who lives in this world will not be separated from its basic needs,  psychological needs, and self fulfillment need. The objectives of the researcher is to describe Unconscious Mind and Anxiety, this research mainly aimed to answer, ‘How is the anxiety reflected in Face in the Crowd movie script?’ , ‘How do the anxieties lead to fantasy in Face in the Crowd movie script?’. Those two problems are analyzed with Psychological of literature or Psychoanalytical approach.  The researcher used a qualitative descriptive method in classifying and analyzing the data,the data was taken from movie script entitled Face In the crowd by Julian Magnat. Then, the result of analysis is the description of unconscious mind and anxiety in the main character. In this analysis the researcher divided it into two main points, such as the anxiety in Face in the Crowd movie script, and the anxieties lead to fantasy. Finally, the conclusion from this analysis there are only a few dialogues that show moral anxieties experienced by Anna. And it can be concluded that  is the anxiety felt Anna objectivy reality. Anxiety objectivy reality itself is an anxiety that comes from the fear of the danger in the outside world. Then fantasy does not only occur during sleep but when he appeared conscious but without realizing it. The main character in the film derives satisfaction from fantasies that arise when together with her ​​husband, with the Anna vision abnormalities. And fantasy is a process of daydreaming (dreamy) or imagining action to provide an escafrom reality, with satisfaction the achievements obtained and pleasure that are imaginary or die as a hero who does not sin. The title of this writing is “Conflict of Beatrice Prior in Roth’s Allegiant”. The specific aim of this scientific writing is to find out and describe the conflicts that are faced by the main character and to find out the source of the conflicts Roth’s Allegiant. This novel is the third series of Divergent written by Veronica Roth and published in 2016. The data is collected through library research and analyzed based on two main theories. The main theory which is used in analyzing this paper is theory of literature by Lajos Egri and also theory of psychology by Tayla Bauer & Berrin Erdogan in his book entitled An Introduction to Organizational Behavior, This research is analyzed based qualitative-descriptive method. Based on the result of analysis, it can be concluded that Conflict of Beatrice Prior in Roth’s Allegiant consist of internal and external conflict. Types of internal conflicts of Tris is categorized as Intrapersonal conflict. Meanwhile, the types of external conflicts are categorized as Interpersonal conflict and Intergroup conflict. The source of the conflict are differing in attitudes, values, and perceptions, differing in goals or objective, differing in personal style or personality.

The research is concerned with types of love faced by Tara Dupont, the main character of the novel Autumn in Paris, written by Ilana Tan.  The types of love: friendship, infatuated love, romantic love and consummate love are the main focus of the study.  The objective is to find out how Tara Dupont implements the types of love in relationship with people around her. One of the theories used in the research is Robert Sternberg’s Triangular Theory of Love  which states that love has three components:  intimacy, passion and commitment  and these three components are to be applied to obtain or run real love.  Qualitative descriptive method is applied for the whole analysis.  The finding shows that types of love are found in the novel Autumn in Paris. Friendship appears in a relationship between Tara, Sebastien and Tatsuya. Romantic love and infatuated love are the dominant types of love and consummate love is the rarest.

This study aims to describe the struggles experienced by the two main characters in the novel in getting their freedom and also to elaborate the important of freedom for the main characters as human rights. The research method used was a qualitative descriptive method with the sociology of literature approach. The primary data were collected from descriptions and utterances of the main characters and narrators in the novel. The supporting data were obtained from the library, internet, journals, and articles. The results of this research indicate that there is struggle of the main characters in obtaining their freedom as a human in this novel. Huckleberry Finn as the main character fought for his freedom from a drunk and abusive father, while Jim, as the second main character fought for his freedom from slavery. The two figures then met and made an adventure together to get their own freedom.
