<p>This research is aimed at knowing the effect of intelligence quotient and critical thinking ability towards students’ speaking skill. The research methodology is quantitative research design with the use of a survey with multi-correlation technique using some samples from a number of population and using a test used for data collection. The number of the samples is two classes from two government colleges in Bogor, West Java. The result of the research shows that; 1). There is a significant effect of intelligence quotient and critical thinking ability towards students’ speaking skill at Government College in Bogor that was proven by the value of Sig. 0.000 &lt; 0.05 and Fobserved = 130.848. Both independent variables had given a contribution of 84.8% to the students’ speaking skill. 2). There is significant effect of intelligence quotient towards students’ speaking skill at Government College in Bogor that was proven by the value of Sig. 0.000 &lt; 0.05 and Tobserved = 4.884. 3). There is a significant effect of the critical thinking ability towards students’ speaking skill at Government College in Bogor that was proven by the value of Sig. 0.000 &lt; 0.05 and Tobserved = 4.382.</p><p><strong>Key Words: </strong>Intelligence Quotient; Critical Thinking; Speaking Skill.</p>

The purpose of this research wants to know the effect both grammar mastery and critical thinking towards student’s descriptive writing skill. It wants to know the effect of grammar mastery towards student’s descriptive writing skill. And then, it wants to know the effect of critical thinking towards student’s descriptive writing skill. Research method is a survey research which is taken from 90 students that are chosen randomly sampling technique at private senior high school in Karawang. There are several instruments, which are used in viewing the relationship between two independent variables (grammar mastery and critical thinking) and one dependent variable (descriptive writing skill), namely: (1) multiple choice test to measure the level of knowledge grammar mastery, (2) questionnaires to measure the level of cognitive in critical thinking, and (3) writing test to measure student’s ability in terms of descriptive writing skill. Data analysis technique used SPSS Version 16.0. The result of the research shown that (1) both grammars learned by student and critical thinking ability have effects on the student’s writing skill. This is evidence of the value both independent variables are Fcount = 339,539 and sig as big as 0,000 < 0,05. (2) grammar learnt by the students has effect on the student’s descriptive writing skill, this is evidenced by tcount  = 26,037 and sig as big as 0,000 < 0,05. (3) critical thinking ability has no effect on the student’s descriptive writing skill, this is evidence by tcount = 0,858 and sig as big as 0,393 > 0,05.

Critical thinking is an essential aspect of the 21st century. There was an outbreak of pandemic covid-19; some educators had difficulty stimulating critical thinking in early childhood. But for some teachers used spice ingredients at home to promote the critical thinking of children. Therefore, this research aimed to provide critical thinking learning solutions during the covid 19 pandemics. This study used a qualitative descriptive method to describe the use of spices in stimulating essential thinking. The data collection technique using interviews, observations and documentation by involving children aged 5-6 years (n= 15). Data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing were analyzed by testing data validity using triangulation techniques.  This study showed that using spice media in making turmeric herbs acid, making batik from natural dyes, and making dolls through a scientific approach can stimulate critical thinking ability in children in the study from home. So, can be concluded that using spice media stimulate critical thinking ability in children in the study from home.

This study aims to find the correlation between critical thinking ability and self-confidence toward speaking skill. The method research used descriptive quantitative method design. Quantitative was related to the computation of number. The data obtained was number. Critical thinking ability data was taken from answer of test, the test contains 20 questions. Students’ self-confidence and speaking skill was taken from the questionnaire, the questionnaire of self-confidence contains 10 questions and 12 questions for speaking skill. The result of this research was described descriptively based on the data gotten. In this case, the third level students at Language Center (LC) Pare-Kediri were taken as population consisting of 50 students which became a whole samples taken by Sugiyono Theory (2002). The  result simultaneous correlation (Regression) which value was 39,803. The significant level is 0, 446 (b). It is 0% significant level. It means the alternative hypothesis is rejected. There is no significant simultaneous relationship between Critical thinking ability (X1) and Self-confidence(X2) toward speaking skill (Y) at the third level students of Language Center Pare-Kediri.

This study aims to describe the TGT model assisted by petting games to improve students' critical thinking skills. This class action research will be carried out in class IV SDN Pati Wetan 03 with research subjects 35 students and teachers planned in 2 cycles. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interview, documentation, and test techniques. Analysis of the data used is quantitative and qualitative analysis. Results Increased student learning activities attitudes in the first cycle of 75.5 and increased in the second cycle to 80.5. Whereas the students' learning activities aspects of skills in the first cycle amounted to 70.5 and increased in the second cycle to 79.7. Increased students' critical thinking skills in the first cycle by 70.2 and increased in the second cycle to 81.6. The results of the study can be concluded that the results of the application of the model assisted by plete playing media can improve students' critical thinking skills. The research aims to describe students' critical thinking ability in terms of social arithmetic problem problem 2020/2021. As for the indicators of critical thinking ability covering clarification, furtherment, strategy, and inference. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The method of data collection includes a test of the critical thinking ability of 3 items of description and interview. Based on data analysis, it could be concluded that: (1) the high category of subjects of 3 students, indicating that in the clarifying, subclassification, strategy, and inference parts can state the problem perfectly and completely (2) the only moderate number of subjects at 5 students, pointing out that in the clarifying, subclassification, strategy, and inference sections can present the problem less completely (3) next, the low number of subjects of 12 students, I will be able to explain that in the clarification,assement, strategy, and inference will be unable to declare the problem.

This research aims to investigate the influence of intructional models and critical thinking ability toward reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcome of students at MDT Shibyanul Muslimin Jakarta. This research is quantitative research using design treatment by level 2x2. The instrumen used to assess students critical thingking’s ability is in quentionnaire form, while the instrument used to assess student’s reading understanding ability in Arabic language is in the multiple choice form. The result of the research show that: (1) reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcome of students using cooperative learning tipe STAD model are higher than those reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcomes of students using cooperative learning tipe NHT models, (2) there is interaction effect between learning model and critical thinking on reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcome of students, (3) reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcome of students who has high critical thinking and using cooperative learning tipe STAD model are higher than students using cooperative learing tipe NHT model, (4) reading understanding ability in Arabic language outcome of students who has critical thinking and using cooperative learning tipe STAD model are lower than students using the cooperative learning tipe NHT models.

Finding out the influence of learning geometry using ethnomathematics-based learning media for critical thinking ability (critical thinking) is the purpose of this study. This research is experimental research with quantitative research method. Using the posttest-only design in this study. Its population is the control and experimental class. Test methods, documentation and observation interviews are the data collection techniques used. The way is the PowerPoint 2016 media for the experimental group and conventional learning for the control group with. The result is that the differences occur between the apart media and the learning of ethnomathematics that cannot be media learning (conventional). The average experimental value of 86.57 with a variance of 77.57 while the average control value of 77.33 with a variance of 133.50, obtained t count of 3.138, with ttable of 2.011. Based on hypothesis test that with significance level α = 0,05 hence can be concluded there is the influence of media of learning of geometry based on ethnomathematics to students critical thinking ability of mathematical.

The purpose of this study was to describe the ability of teachers to manage to learn using the POGIL model and to describe students' critical thinking skills after being taught using the POGIL model. This type of research was quantitative research. The research design used was one group posttest only, with a population of all VII grade students of SMP N 1 Geger, and one class was taken randomly as a sample, namely class VIIC as the sample. The data collection techniques used were observation and tests. Observations were made to obtain data on the ability of teachers in managing to learn using the POGIL learning model and tests were carried out to obtain data on students' critical thinking abilities. The data analysis used was descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the teacher's ability to manage to learn was said to be effective because the average results of the observed aspects in learning I and II were in good and very good categories. This shows that the teacher has carried out the learning process well and was by the steps of the POGIL learning model. The POGIL learning model was also able to develop students' critical thinking skills because the total percentage of students with high and moderate critical thinking skills was more than 80%. The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in the effect of critical thinking skills on students’ learning competency in accounting subjects at vocational high school in Surakarta. The indicators of critical thinking ability used in this study referred to the theory developed by Ennis, while the accounting competency indicators used referred to Bloom's taxonomy. This research was experimental quantitative research. The population in this study were all students of grade X accounting at SMK 1 Surakarta totaling 96 students. The sample of this study was class X AC (Accounting) 2 as the experimental class and X AC 3 as the control class. The sampling technique used in this study was Cluster Random sampling. The data analysis technique used in the study was Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), with pre-requisite tests that had to be done before, namely normality and homogeneity tests. This study concluded that there are differences in the influence of critical thinking skills on students’ competency in accounting learning.
