Finger and partial finger amputations are some of the most frequently encountered forms of partial hand loss. A high quality aesthetic prosthesis with passive function can be helpful to the patient since loss or congenital absence or malformation have both a social and psychological impact on the patient. Prosthetics is an art and science which provides a lifelike appearance to the lost structures of the patient. This case report presents the fabrication of a silicone finger prosthesis which had good suspension, adequate function, was comfortable to use and aesthetically acceptable to the patient.

ABSTRACT Amputation of a finger will have considerable functional and psychological impact on an individual. Although prosthetic rehabilitation incorporating implants is considered an ideal treatment option, the patient may not give consent due to apprehension toward surgical procedures. The ideal prosthesis should replace the missing part of the finger so precisely that it would not draw the attention of the observer. Fabrication of such a prosthesis will require great technical and artistic expertise. This paper presents a case of prosthetic rehabilitation of an amputated finger using a silicone finger prosthesis. How to cite this article Fernandez T, Harshakumar K, Ravichandran R. Patients with acquired defects or congenital malformations of the palate exhibit disturbances in speech including hypernasality, nasal emission and decreased intelligibility of speech. Maxillofacial prosthesis is an art and science which not only replaces the lost structure but also sometimes restores the function.obturator is a prosthesis which closes the palate and pharyngeal defects and improving the speech and other function. This article presents a case report of a completely edentulous patient with palatal insufficiency rehabilitated prosthodontically with a hollow bulb obturator and a procedure for fabrication of closed hollow bulb obturator prosthesis. India is a vast country with a large number of individuals in the community with various disabilities. It had been estimated that there are roughly 0.62 amputees in India per thousand population. This translates to close to more than one million individuals with amputations. Digital amputation is a common injury. This very often results in extensive functional disability and a substantial psychological impact. More importantly, the outcome of digital dysfunction is detrimental to the patient's daily activities, such as buttoning a shirt or unlocking a door. Therefore, the overall goal for these patients is to rebuild a finger with the restoration of normal function, stability, length, and sensation. Prosthetic rehabilitation of amputated fingers is an attempt to rehabilitate aesthetics and limitedly function. A prosthesis will be a counterfeit body part that replaces a few of the work and presence of the absent a major aspect. The kind of your prosthetic hand, finger alternately arm will rely on upon the area Furthermore period for your remaining finger or hand Also your practical Also lifestyle necessities. It is critical with impart those exercises that you feel need aid. The separable die allowed the silicone to flow into narrow spaces. Once the mould is filled with silicone, the flask is closed and pressure is applied slowly.

Abstract : Loss always has a negative impact on an individual which engraves a feeling of incompleteness in many. Loss of anybody part creates an obstruction in the normal functioning of the body. Mostly the appendages such as arms, fingers, etc have a very important role in routine life which can restrict the living psychologically, functionally, and socially. The goal in rehabilitating a body part should be to create a substitute that is indistinguishable from adjacent and contralateral counterparts. Therefore maxillofacial prosthodontics is not only science but also an art. The present article is a case report of a person with a missing finger briefing the fabrication methodology of a custom-made silicone finger prosthesis.

Fingers as organs of manipulation have an important role in function and aesthetics. Injuries to the fingers are common in accidents at home, work, and play or due to congenital and developmental defect. Irrespective of the aetiology, the loss of a finger has a considerable functional and psychological impact on an individual. In order to alleviate these problems, partial or complete finger prosthesis can be fabricated. This clinical report presents a method to fabricate finger prosthesis using digital photograph, poly methylemethacrylate acrylic and soft liner for a patient who has a partial finger loss caused due to trauma. Key words: Acrylic,Digital photograph,Finger, Soft liner

Treatment of patients with malignant tumor of oropharyngeal region is a difficult problem due to the last detection of diseases and complex anatomic structure, despite the emergence new and improvement methods of the treatment of cancer of oropharyngeal region. Complex rehabilitation of this patients presents great difficulties due to the disturbance of breath, swallowing, speech, and the lack of a single methodological approach to treatment. It is needs to improve the effectiveness of prosthetic care for patients with malignant tumor of oropharyngeal region.

Gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GISTs) are rare - and rectovaginal extragastrointestinal stromal tumours (RV-EGISTs) even rarer. We share a case of RV-EGIST, complemented by high-quality radiological and surgical images. A review of current literature pertaining to RV-EGIST is also included. Our case report highlights the diagnostic challenge presented by extragastrointestinal stromal tumours. Differentiated from overlapping pathologies only by targeted application of immunohistopathology and cytogenetics, the inclusion of RV-EGIST in the differential diagnosis of a rectovaginal tumour is essential to making this correct diagnosis. Primary surgery is the treatment of choice for RV-EGIST if complete cytoreduction can be achieved, combined with adjuvant tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) therapy for those with high-risk features to further reduce rates of future recurrence.
