The article discusses the issues of environmental management in logistics based on the concept of sustainable development through the introduction of environmental logistics. The problem of human survival in conditions of limited natural resources against the background of the deterioration of the natural conditions of human existence has led to the creation of the concept of sustainable development, which requires taking into account environmental and social factors in all spheres of human life. Logistics as a field of practice makes a negative contribution to the state of the environment. Highlighted the contour of ecological logistics in the framework of the concept of sustainable development. On the basis of the basic rules of logistics, the rules of ecology were formed, which reflect the need for ecologization of logistics. The evolution of the development of ecology is investigated, the features of the ecologization of logistics at each stage of the development of logistics are highlighted. Ecology has been actively developing in recent years and has several promising research areas, one of which is reverse logistics, which focuses on managing the reverse flows of material resources. The essence, tasks and place of reverse logistics in the hierarchy of environmentally oriented directions have been determined. The evolution of logistics chains corresponding to the stages of logistics development has been investigated. Closed logistic chains as the basis of reverse logistics are considered, the composition of the flows forming them is determined.

Being aware of lands ecological resources’ natural conditions and particularities for different uses and crops is of great importancefor the big and small producers. In this paper we present the main aspects regarding the quality of the ecopedological conditions. Here there are briefly presented thephysico-geographic conditions and the telluric-edaphic configuration of the area. Also, the structure of the main categories of agriculturalactivities in the physical geographical areas (mountains, hills and plateaus, high and low plains and meadows) and main soils’ types andassociations are presented. Lands vocation for different use (arable, lawns, hay, orchard, vineyardThe paper ends with highlighting the necessary measures for a lasting administration of ecopedological resources in the studied area.

Introduction. Why do the ideas about time in ‘The Iliad’ and in the conditions of modern transmission speeds of large flows of information unexpectedly converge, and the key point is the study of the forms of stability of the process in time? What do we really mean by ingrained thinking and sustainable development, and how do they relate to the evolutionary nature of sustainable processes? The purpose of this paper is to present the form of a sustainable process, its constructive deployment in time by means of a natural science analysis. Materials and Methods. Based on the materials and methods of measuring time-varying quantities, as well as set-theoretic prerequisites for branching the process, it is proposed to look for natural scientific grounds for analyzing the sustainable development of trends in culture in general, in information processes and the education system, in particular. Here we will also try to take a well-known point of view (K. Lorentz, I. Prigozhin), when time, irreversibility, randomness in some constructive process relate to inanimate matter, to life, and to human. Results. Based on the analysis carried out by the author, the answer to the question of whether there are natural conditions for the sustainability of the object-process, in what aspect we can discuss the constructiveness of time, the evolutionary rooting of sustainable processes, branching points and the ‘stretching’ of a sustainable educational process into the future is presented. Conclusions. Our ideas about the processes in time and the conditions of their sustainability in the broadest cultural aspect, including the education system, need to be clarified. The constructive deployment of the process in time has its own structure that ensures the evolutionary rooting of the process and, in particular, the educational process.

Rural tourism is a dynamic and innovative way of doing tourism because it is very different from the traditional sun and beach tourism that is better known, the latter focuses on the tourist area of a place with a beach leaving aside the receiving community; However, the rural one focuses on the less privileged towns but with great tourist potential, to develop the tourist activity in which the tourist enters in contact with nature, the receiving community, and its culture, as long as the heritage is preserved and the environment is taken care of, since a characteristic of this one, is that sustainable development is carried out, in which besides knowing the customs and traditions of a place also the natural environment is preserved. It is worth mentioning that this activity is gaining strength day by day, since it is considered a way to eradicate poverty from a site, due to the great economic spill it generates.

The article discusses the natural and historic heritage of medieval towns in the Opole Silesia region in the context of their ability to take advantage of their potential for sustainable development, especially in tourism. The chosen environmental, urban, architectural, and landscape factors were compared through this aspect and subjected to a multidimensional comparative analysis. The research studies applied mostly archival materials, contemporary topographic maps, statistical data, and both landscape as well as urban field studies. As a result, the studies indicated that the natural conditions of the locations, the preservation level of the urban system along with its development trends, and the areas of the old fortifications with their accompanying greenery constitute these towns’ very value and identity. As they combine elements of nature and culture, they may serve as the basis for development of tourism, which is likely to contribute to the social and economic revitalization of the region itself. What may play a major role in the quest for sustainable development are the urban greenery systems to be designed based on former fortification areas, city greenery, and natural environmental resources, which have been integral elements of these towns over many past centuries.

Due to favourable natural conditions, the inhabitants of the municipality of Štrpce were engaged in agriculture, livestock breeding and fruit growing for decades. Although to a lesser extent, interest in agriculture is still present today, with slight variations in the type of crops being grown. In recent years, there has been an expansion of raspberry growing and beekeeping, segments that have proven to be extremely profitable. The aim of this paper is to highlight the importance of agriculture in the overall sustainable economic development of the municipality of Štrpce and inhabitants individually. Based on the field research, the authors will suggest improvement of this industry, especially in the field of organic production. If the predictions are true, this will be crucial for the existence and well-being of people in this region.

AbstractActive use of berries in regional cuisines underlines gastronomic specifics of Russia. The present study focuses on three regions of Russian Siberia and establishes that edible berries are numerous there and determine specifics of the regional cuisine rooted into the cultural traditions. These cultural and gastronomic traditions developed during four centuries by Russian settlers in Siberia who adapted to severe natural conditions, explored new food resources, and interacted with the local peoples. If so, berries and berry products can be regarded as a kind of ethnic food. Modern berries-based tourism (bacatourism) initiatives and, particularly, berry picking and tasting at you-pick farms and raspberry festival are registered on the study territory. Sellers tend to position berry products as typically Siberian, which permits their use as regional, quasi-ethnic souvenirs. Berries determine significant gastronomic attractiveness of Southern Siberia, and further exploitation of this potential can contribute to sustainable development of this vast territory and maintaining its cultural identity within the broad and diverse Russian space.

The article is connected with the life and scientific works of Professor Stephen Kozlowski died in September 2007. He was a great research scientist working with the geology of raw materials and then with the conservation and formation of natural environment. Last 25 years of his scientific work he was engaged in the creation of the concept of sustainable development and in the promotion of the concept in Polish social, economic and political life. Using the term “sustainable development” he meant all the activities which improve man’s life conditions and which do not cause the degradation of natural environment. Such effect can be obtained by equalizing of three development vectors: natural, economic and cultural. He proposed that Poland should adapt the economic progress to natural conditions of environment. He said that the idea of the sustainable development being based on the foundations of ecological era had all chances to make a success in our conditions of weather, soil, water and raw minerals.
