To reduce the number of germic or nosocomial infections, especially come from waste disposal. Especially for hospitals, the disposal procedure should cut off the chain of transmission or the spread of disease which are came from the clinical waste or medical waste by burning the clinical waste or medical waste using the incinerator. Incenerator is used with high temperature by 800 ° C. Incenerator has been proven to reduce medical waste about 70% to 90%, but it can also reduce the number of pathogenic bacteria to zero in percentage. In the using of incinerators, there has not been an assessment of the effectiveness of incinerator usage until today. Research method which has been used is analytical research to determine the effectiveness of incinerator usage due to the destruction of the medical waste. The result of examination about effectivity of incinerator usage for 4 times of combustion was obtained that the burning volume of medical waste exceeding the required incenerator volume of 0.7 m3/day is very ineffective with the burning time for 2 hours, because of the results of the research with different volume shows that the volume of 0.7 m3 is an effective volume for incinerators in Public Hospital of ABC City, this is being streghtened based on the results of hypothesis testing that shows the volume of 0.7 m3 would be more effective volume and could give a significant result. In fact, the medical waste should be burnt twice a day in order to be able to burn all the medical waste which is generated.

The paper presents some technical considerations regarding the medical waste transportation and an optimization calculus for minimizing the transportation costs of a company specialized and authorized in collecting, transporting and final disposal of medical waste generated by healthcare facilities. The calculus revealed that it is possible to significantly reduce the transportation costs (up to 65.52%), but there are also other analysis possibilities like considering the in-between points from sources to destinations, alternative paths, limits to the amount of medical waste on each path, time.

Abstract Objectives To assess the dentist's awareness about dental care waste management. To know the various methods of bio-medical waste disposal practiced by private dental practitioners in Chennai City. To assess the awareness of dentists regarding colour coding of biomedical wastes. Materials and Methods A cross sectional questionnaire study was conducted among 250 private dental practitioners selected by simple random sampling. A pretested questionnaire consisting of 28 close ended questions divided into two sections was used. Results Out of 250 participants 167(66.8%) were males and 83(33.2%) were females. About 14.8% of the dentists were not aware of the different categories of bio-medical waste generated in their clinic. About 28% of the dentists were not aware of the bio-medical waste management law in India and the same number (28%) were not aware of the colour coding for different types of biomedical wastes. Conclusion The present study indicates that the majorities of the dental practitioners were not aware of the different categories of biomedical waste and are not practicing the appropriate method of waste disposal. There is an urgent need for continuing dental education on dental care waste management for the dental practitioners.

Nosocomial infections (NIs) are hospital-acquired infections which pose a high healthcare burden worldwide. The impact of NIs is further aggravated by the global spread of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Conventional treatment and disinfection agents are often insufficient to catch up with the increasing AMR and tolerance of the pathogenic bacteria. This has resulted in a need for alternative approaches and raised new interest in therapeutic bacteriophages (phages). In contrast to the limited clinical options available against AMR bacteria, the extreme abundance and biodiversity of phages in nature provides an opportunity to establish an ever-expanding phage library that collectively provides sustained broad-spectrum and poly microbial coverage. Given the specificity of phage-host interactions, phage susceptibility testing can serve as a rapid and cost-effective method for bacterial subtyping. The library can also provide a database for routine monitoring of nosocomial infections as a prelude to preparing ready-to-use phages for patient treatment and environmental sterilization. Despite the remaining obstacles for clinical application of phages, the establishment of phage libraries, pre-stocked phage vials prepared to good manufacturing practice (GMP) standards, and pre-optimized phage screening technology will facilitate efforts to make phages available as modern medicine. This may provide the breakthrough needed to demonstrate the great potential in nosocomial infection management.

The purpose of this study is to describe the organization's communication strategy to improve patient service in Luwuk Regional Public Hospital. In this study, the researcher uses qualitative research method in order to know or to describe the facts of the events studied so that it facilitates the researcher to obtain objective data in order to know and to understand the Organization's Communication Strategy on Service in Luwuk Regional Public Hospital. The result of this research can be concluded that the organization communication strategy related to the effort of delivering message has not supported the occurrence of effective communication yet. This is because the message delivered verbally is unclear to the subordinate so that it needs to re-delivery and submission of information back, medicine naming verbally so that it is misidentified by by the nurse, via phone also raises the unclearness of messages and poor doctor's writing that sometimes complicate the task of a nurse so that it will give impact on service pattern. The second is timing; organizational communication strategy related to timing in the delivery of messages is still not optimal. Keywords: communication strategy, organization, service
