Dysgerminoma tends to occur in young women although its incidence in pregnancy is low. Torsion and incarceration occurs in nearly half of the cases. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment offers the best prognosis to the patient presenting with dysgerminoma. However because of enlarging abdominal size, pregnancy may mask the rapidly growing dysgerminoma often leading to late presentation. This is a case report of a female 30 years of age with stage 3C dysgerminoma which lead to acute surgical abdomen at 33weeks of pregnancy. Primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) in pregnant women is an uncommon disease. It could be easily misdiagnosed because of physiologic changes during pregnancy; in some cases, patients could remain asymptomatic maintaining elevated calcium serum levels, and this situation represents a threat to the health of both mother and fetus. We present two cases of PHPT during pregnancy and their evolution after surgical treatment in the second trimester; there were no observed complications during pregnancy or delivery in our patients. Early diagnosis and medical/surgical treatment in PHPT are necessary for avoiding maternal and fetal complications which could not be predicted based on duration or severity of hypercalcemia. An appropriate management of PHPT during pregnancy is necessary for preserving the health of both the woman and the fetus.

Abstract Background: The early manifestations of gastric cancer during pregnancy are non-specific. Ovarian mass and ascites are the main manifestations of late ovarian metastasis. Case presentation: A case of late gastric cancer with bilateral ovarian metastasis in pregnancy was reported in our study. Cesarean section and full staging of ovarian malignant tumors were performed at 28+5 weeks of pregnancy, and the prognosis was poor. We performed Cesarean delivery and extracted a vital male newborn of 35 cm, 1020 g, Ap score 3. The newborn is alive and grows normally. Three months later the mother died. The key to improving the prognosis is early diagnosis, and the pre-pregnancy health checkup must be emphasized. Conclusions: During pregnancy, ultrasound, gastroscopy, MRI and other related examinations should be performed to confirm the diagnosis, and individualized treatment plans should be formulated to maximize the protection of the mother and child's interests.

Thromboangiitis obliterans, also known as Buerger’s disease, is rarely reported in young women in pregnancy. It is an occlusive vascular disorder, characterised by episodic non-atherosclerotic thrombosis of small- and medium-sized blood vessels. Thromboangiitis obliterans predominantly occurs in males aged less than 50 years and is almost exclusively diagnosed in smokers. The small number of published cases have frequently reported worsening of thrombotic symptoms, due to the hypercoagulable state of pregnancy, and potential pregnancy complications of intra-uterine growth restriction and pre-term labour. This report provides a summary of the literature and outlines the case of a pregnant 23-year-old female with thromboangiitis obliterans, who was managed with low-dose enoxaparin and aspirin. Her thrombotic symptoms were stable during pregnancy; however, her pregnancy was complicated by placental malperfusion and intra-uterine growth restriction.

Pheochromocytoma during pregnancy is rare and lethal to the mother and fetus. Its diagnosis is often missed during pregnancy and is usually made during labour or immediately postpartum with increased mortality rates for both the mother and fetus. Early diagnosis and timely, appropriate management reduce possible maternal and fetal complications. A case of pheochromocytoma recognized at early pregnancy is described

Nutritional deficiency is very common in pediatric patients, especially in developing countries. A 4-year-old Maldivian boy presented with pain in major joints of lower limbs since two months and was unable to stand and walk since one month. There was no history of fever or fall. The growth was average with mild pallor. There was no joint swelling. Xray knee joint showed epiphyseal separation, cortical thinning suggesting a radiological diagnosis of Scurvy and after Vit C supplementation the child showed clinical and radiological improvement in two weeks. So, a high index of suspicion is required for early diagnosis and treatment.
