This paper is focused on various possibilities of effective management education at universities during the world pandemic of Covid-19. In more detail, there is examined one specific case of distance learning at the Faculty of Management Science and Informatics, University of Žilina, Slovakia. This paper highlights the importance of active interaction between educators and students, and building relationships among students by teamwork. The substantial outcome of this research paper is endorsing the importance of participative attitude at the seminars of Management. One of the key factors in students’ motivation is the attitude of teachers, who, in this process, act as colleagues. Thus, the lecturers form a direct part of the educational process, rather than just the controlling part. In this re-search, the students’ satisfaction with the way of teaching this subject was measured. It was proven that the participative attitude of teachers is linked to increased motivation of students. Some of them would even welcome this type of leading and learning in other lectures, too. This approach was confirmed as effective mostly during distance learning since students might feel more stressed and overwhelmed and their motivation tends to decrease. It is crucial to include such elements into the education process which strengthen the students’ motivation. Teaching based on practical examples from a business environment in which the students work with real data and information may be the right way.

Distance learning is one of the possible solutions to acquire education to working people or those who live in remote locations. The main focus of our research was on learning quality and students’ satisfaction based on the case study of distance learning mode application. The research sample was composed of 126 part-time students who participated in the distance course organized as a part of university education. New technologies and their resulting opportunities for learners to interact with each other and with teachers, provision of guidance and logically structured material created preconditions for students’ satisfaction. Therefore, we assume that development of distance learning courses, constructivist learning environment with its inherent creative approach to learning provision can bring solutions to many social and educational issues, such as big emigration flows of young population, better employment opportunities and selfrealisation of young adults.

One of the key factors to be successful in the job market is to detain the right and needed knowledge and competences, being these hard or transversals (e.g., communication, negotiation, leadership, creativity, proactivity, responsibility, just to name a few). Experiential learning, problem-based learning, and game-based learning are pedagogical methods that allow students to consolidate the technical competences but also to develop the necessary soft skills in order to be employable in the Society 4.0. Among the solution offered is the business simulation that can be defined as an instrument that transforms the real business world in a simplified model enabling students to make decisions and simulate activities as if they were in a real business environment, without any risks. In this chapter, the authors describe a business simulation used in a higher education institution in Portugal. They analyze this simulation in terms of experiential learning and problem-based learning and draw some reflections about the results as this might be inspiring for other teachers/trainers.

This article is aimed at a detailed analysis of the process and possible obstacles in the implementation of the personal moral right to education in the context of the necessary vaccination against COVID-19. To understand fully the subject of the research, attention was drawn to some legislative acts that allow us to understand the meaning of the personal moral right to education, to analise definitions. The study analyzed the argumentation about a certain inferiority of distance learning, introduced due to quarantine restrictions and an insignificant number of vaccinated participants in the educational process. The allegation of violation of the right to education after the introduction of distance learning was refuted, taking into consideration the legislative acts. Another point of view, that was analyzed during the research, was the existence of discriminatory processes against unvaccinated citizens in the exercise of the right to education. However, a detailed analysis of the laws, as well as the personal opinion of the Ombudsman regarding the removal of unvaccinated persons from full-time education, gave grounds to refute this statement. Special attention was paid to the decisions of authoritative judicial instances, namely the ECHR, the Supreme Court on the arguments in support of compulsory vaccination, as well as the legality of limiting the rights of the unvaccinated. These decisions were based on the interests of the whole society, as well as the collective right to a safe environment. The study analyzed the mechanism of limiting any human right and its use to substantiate the legality of excluding unvaccinated individuals from full- time education. Significant attention was paid to the point of view, which considers the need for vaccination as a condition for the realization of the right to education in any form, and certain analogies were described. And also the problem was analyzed taking into account the concept that recognized human life as the highest legal value. During the study, the conclusion was drawn, that there wasn’t a fact of violation of the right to education of unvaccinated persons due to the interests and safety of society.
