Halal tourism has grown in popularity due to the rise of the Muslim population; howbeit it is still a relatively new field. This study aimed to evaluate halal tourism’s publication trends, research areas, prolific sources, most cited documents, co-authorship concerning authors, institutions and countries, and keywords co-occurrence. Using the Scopus database, 118 halal tourism publications were disseminated between 2010 and 2020. This study found an increase in halal tourism in 2018, and the rate increased to 42 in 2020. It can be construed that halal tourism draws in a variety of research areas. Indonesian scholars have been contributed to 26.42% of the overall publications, which leading 34 other countries. Authors’ keywords of ‘Islamic tourism’, ‘Muslim tourists’, ‘halal hospitality’, ‘customer satisfaction’, ‘halal certification’ and ‘religiosity’ have substantially impacted the online search for information. This bibliometric study offers a comprehensive and in-depth glance at halal tourism, which could aid industry and academia.

Leadership research has long attracted interest among researchers. Analysing the evolution and development of this scientific domain is therefore essential. This study discusses the bibliometric review of scholarly research performed in leadership excellence in recent years. The study uses the Scopus database and a wide variety of bibliometric indicators such as publication trends, citations, and authors’ keywords. Graphical visualisation of bibliometric using VOSviewer software is also presented. Results showed that the number of studies covering this topic has fluctuated and is still minimal, with fewer than ten publications per year over four decades. It could also be interpreted that leadership excellence research is broad by evaluating publications and research areas. The bibliometric review conducted provides a comprehensive and in-depth view of leadership excellence research that may be of interest to researchers who are keen to improve or discover new knowledge in this area.

Bitcoin, as the first decentralized cryptocurrency, pioneers the cryptocurrency markets, both in terms of market capitalization and scientific interest. In this paper, we performed a comprehensive bibliometric study of the Bitcoin-related literature. Using the Scopus database, we created a sample that comprises 4495 documents written in the 2011–2020 period. Furthermore, we provided insights about dimensions such as the change in the number of publications over the course of years, the main research areas, types of published documents, most important platforms and sources of Bitcoin publications, highly cited studies, productive authors, author’s countries, and finally main funders of Bitcoin-related research. Lastly, our bibliometric study manifests the current state and future path of Bitcoin literature from distinct perspectives.

“Open Innovation” activities are of crucial importance in the Research and Development (RD) department, especially for survival among enterprises in the competitive nature. There has been an increasing interest in “Open Innovation”. However, the rate of interest has yet to be measured by publications trends. This study aims to demonstrate the trends of “Open Innovation” from 2012 to 2017 and highlight the key-phrases for the selected topic. In this bibliometric study, a total of 3,567 publications were investigated in the SCOPUS database using SciVal platform. The concept of “Open Innovation” has received considerable attentions since 2003, and the highly cited paper was published by Chesbrough. The top 50 key-phrases by relevancy indicated the importance of “Open Innovation” and other emerging research areas, giving a guideline for future research.

Energy storage ceramics is among the most discussed topics in the field of energy research. A bibliometric analysis was carried out to evaluate energy storage ceramic publications between 2000 and 2020, based on the Web of Science (WOS) databases. This paper presents a detailed overview of energy storage ceramics research from aspects of document types, paper citations, h-indices, publish time, publications, institutions, countries/regions, research areas, highly cited papers, and keywords. A total of 3177 publications were identified after retrieval in WOS. The results show that China takes the leading position in this research field, followed by the USA and India. Xi An Jiao Tong Univ has the most publications, with the highest h-index. J.W. Zhai is the most productive author in energy storage ceramics research. Ceramics International, Journal of Materials Science-Materials in Electronics, and the Journal of Alloys and Compounds are the most productive journals in this field, and materials science—multidisciplinary is the most frequently used subject category. Keywords, highly cited papers, and the analysis of popular papers indicate that, in recent years, lead-free ceramics are prevalent, and researchers focus on fields such as the microstructure, thin films, and phase transition of ceramics.

This paper evaluates the keywords and subject areas in records management (RM) publications, as indexed in the Scopus database, with a view to mapping RM research from 1971 to 2018 so as to determine the direction of research in the field. A total of 4 762 documents were obtained from the Scopus database using the term records management and searching within the title, abstract and keywords fields. The data was analysed using VOSviewer software. The findings reveal that interest in RM research has grown as the volume of publications has continued to increase. Whereas there was no dominant area of research in the 1980s, as far as RM research is concerned, the main focus in the 2010s was the management of electronic health records, thereby signalling a shift in RM research from being just an information management exercise to being used for the management of records in the medical and health sector. Other popular research areas in the 2010s were health care, electronic medical record/s, information management, medical computing, information systems, and electronic document exchange. A classification of the RM publications according to Scopus’s broad subject fields revealed that RM research is mainly conducted in computer science, engineering, medicine, and the social sciences. The study predicts a slow growth in the number of RM publications in the next ten years (2019-2028), greater focus on RM in the health sector, and continued dominance of computer-based systems and electronic records as topics of RM research.

Structural equation modeling (SEM), especially partial least squares path modeling (PLS-PM) has become a mainstream method in many fields of research. In the last years it has been increasingly disseminated in a variety of disciplines. The researchers have been promoting this new statistical methods for the evaluation of policies. Generally, policy evaluation applies evaluation principles and methods to examine the content, implementation or impact of a policy. To better understand and characterize this trend, a bibliometric study of international papers on this subject has been developed in order to describe the use of SEM and PLS-PM approaches in the policy evaluation in the almost last 20 years. A total of 450 articles from 2000 to 2020 have been selected and analyzed in order to discover the research trends in this field and the main dimensions and words related to the terms “decision making” and “SEM-PLS” approach, that are most commonly employed in the scientific literature. The research has been conducted in theWeb of Science from ISI Web of Knowledge database and Scopus database, with the aim of identifying the major themes, authors, areas, types of the sources, titles, years of publication and countries of these publications, as well as the main themes related to the two topic analyzed

This study investigates customer satisfaction based on a typology of consumer search behavior. The findings demonstrate that the type of consumer as defined by whether and how they search for information (passive, rational-active, and relational-dependent) has different level of satisfaction. Rational-active and relational-dependent consumers are found to be the dominant consumer types who actively search for information before purchasing a product and thus perceive a higher level of satisfaction than do passive consumers. The identification of satisfaction within each type of consumer provides a reason for customers to repurchase the same product, or recommend it to other people. As a result, companies will be able to achieve an increase in profitability. Recommendations for companies and future research directions are presented.
