The “Journalism in the Ethnocultural Sphere” discipline belongs in the basic part of “Folk Art Culture” higher educational field of study curriculum, which is in the process of theoretical development and search for methodological approaches to its teaching. The article represents a development of practical assignments in this discipline. Methods. Based on the author’s own pedagogical experience in the field of teaching ethno-journalism to students of this curriculum in FSBEI of HE “Saint Petersburg State University of Film and Television”, a system of practical exercises aimed at development of general cultural and professional competencies has been developed. The assignments are divided into five topics; the students are expected to work in the field of both ethnocultural studies and journalism. For each practical lesson there are two types of assignments: analytical, which are based on a theoretical understanding of ethnocultural material (discussion questions), as well as work with mass media data, and creative tasks, which include creating journalistic texts of different genres on ethnocultural topics. It can be concluded, that the results of preparatory and classroom work with the proposed tasks suggest a successful completion of the discipline by future specialists in the field of folk art culture, as well as demonstrate their interest in ethnocultural knowledge and ethnojournalistic activity.

The article considers methodological approaches to the selection of topics for final qualifying works in the form of master's theses in the direction of preparation 08.04.01 "Construction", the profile "Technologies and organization of construction". The authors justify the relevance of the topic based on the experience of training masters at the Department of construction production Technology of the Saint Petersburg state University of architecture and construction. The main requirements of modern professional standards for the formation of competencies of undergraduates are considered. The authors emphasize the importance of the first stage of research work in the semester, in which students together with the supervisor must identify the problem and determine the direction of work and formulate the topic of the final qualifying work (dissertation), based on the analysis of work experience and relevant documented and undocumented sources. Approaches to the formulation of research topics based on the identification of actual problems in various areas of technology and construction organization are proposed. The corresponding experience of work on the preparation of masters, accumulated at the Department, is analyzed. For this stage, a number of requirements for the selection of relevant research areas are presented and recommendations based on practical experience in this area are given. Various sources and directions of formulation of topics of graduate qualification works of undergraduates are analyzed. At the same time, the corresponding requirements for the student's scientific supervisor's experience are presented. In conclusion, the approaches to evaluating the work of undergraduates in the semester on the basis of a score-rating system, for the implementation of which a system for awarding points for various sections of their research, prepared articles, participation in conferences and case Championships is presented.

Islamic Communication and Broadcasting or commonly known as KPI, as one of the majors in Islamic colleges, must have an identity. Basically, the KPI’s scientific design can not be separated from two things, first, at the scientific level, the device is able to make science communication and science propaganda as the basis of activity design and the movement of Islamic broadcasting through various paradigmatic, theoretical, and methodological approaches. This is what is referred to as the ability of theoretical understanding (knowledge-based capability). Second, at a practical level, facilitating the growth of capabilities that could be the foundation undergraduate professional competence of KPI.

This paper argues that that much published tourism and hospitality research has had little influence on tourism or hospitality practice especially with regard to the problems of sustainability because of a failure to use systems thinking to guide research questions and approaches. This critical review and conceptual paper demonstrates how a systems thinking approach could be used to improve both the relevance of, and theoretical development in, tourism and hospitality research in the area of sustainability. This paper reviewed recent published research into tourism’s social impacts to demonstrate the power of taking a systems approach to map out the research problem area. It then critically reviewed the use of concepts from psychology in published research into guest engagement in sustainability programs in hospitality businesses to demonstrate the value of systems thinking for organising theoretical concepts. In both of the reviewed areas the overwhelming conclusion was that the majority of the research lacked both practical relevance and was based on inappropriate or deficient theoretical understanding.

AnyLogic. The Bonch-Bruevich Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications The article provides an overview of the features of the use of portable general-purpose NIR spectrometers to analyze the composition of food or medicines. A model of the aggregated network traffic flow of several spectrometers and a service delivery model, which provides the reduction of network delay and amount of transmitted data, are presented. A method of constructing a network based on edge computing for reduction of network delay is considered. To verify the proposed model and method simulation modeling was carried out in the software environment AnyLogic.
