The article considers the organization of psychological and pedagogical work with freshmen. Specifically, during student life, young people are further socialized in the system of relations in the new social adult environment. In this regard, young people must be actively involved in the educational process in higher education, successfully cope with the requirements for learning, and gain a set of necessary competencies that can be successfully applied in practice in the future. The main freshmen's problems are outlined a new system of education; another mode, load and requirements; new social role; relationships with classmates and teachers; problems in the social and household plan; independent living in conditions for out-of-town students. The analysis of the scientific literature allowed us to conclude that a significant potential for solving the problem of students' adaptation in a higher education institution is social advertising. Thus, by social advertising, we mean information of any kind, disseminated in any form, which is aimed at achieving socially useful goals, the promotion of universal values and the dissemination of which is not for profit. The role of social advertising as an important condition for students' successful adaptation on the example of the Faculty of Social and Psychological Education of Uman State Pedagogical University has been revealed. Already implemented forms of work at the faculty are: 1) annual competition of student and pupil scientific works «Family from A to Z»; in the nominations: scientific works; social projects (implemented or designed); social advertising (print, photo or video); 2) competition «The best social poster»; 3) Competition of social advertising in the form of short video works; 4) Festival of student creativity «Social worker of the future» in the framework of the social project «Make a dream come true». Thus, it can be argued that social advertising plays an important role in the students' adaptation, their formation as future professionals. Students master the necessary skills and abilities, which include the ability to work in a team, establish contacts, manage their time properly, show leadership qualities and persuade the interlocutor.

Today, the educational system is undergoing significant changes. If a definite order finally takes place in preschool and general education, then higher education changes continuously. On the one hand, there is a very painful transition to new educational standards. In any higher education institution today you can hear the concepts of “third generation federal state education”, “federal state plus”, “federal state three plus plus” and these words are often pronounced with a negative connotation: there are difficulties with the transition process itself, the organization does not have time to comprehend and switch to one standard, and next year a new one is adopted. On the other hand, qualitative changes are taking place in the organization of the educational process from the inside – the time has come to transform universities. In part, this is due to the influence of technology development, informatization and the demands of the digital economy. In this paper, an attempt is made to summarize what has been done in the field of university transformation based on an analysis of the history of the transition from the formation of a higher educational university of the first version to version 4.0 or the university of the future, which is actively mentioned among universities of the 5-100 program, about the model that all universities of the world should come to in the future. These results were obtained as a result of a strategic session on the formation of the Greater University, held in Tomsk from December 2 to 6, 2019.

The article presents the criteria which were determined with the aim of seeking to improve the efficiency of forming the professional readiness of future automobile engineering bachelors in the system of activity of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGSU). The benefit of the study is that a number of criteria have been identified which, in our opinion, are capable of testing the effectiveness of the proposed solutions in the education organizing process. Moreover by the method of experts (the employees of the Department of Vehicles and Special Engineering) evaluation, the following criteria were determined as motivational, activity-communication, reflexive, cognitive. The complex of criteria has been formed taking into account the specifics of training at a military higher education institution based on the educational process analysis. The article determines that the use of information and communications technologies by the future bachelors-border guards of automobile engineering requires the formation of specific components of the appropriate readiness. Many specific requirements have been put forward for future specialists, both for a personality and the content of their activity, so a majority of the given qualities are necessary for these technologies application in the border units of the SBGSU. When defining the complex, the experience of the scientific-pedagogical staff of a military higher education institution was used, as well as the job descriptions of future automobile engineering bachelors in the area of the border agency responsibility. The obtained complex of criteria provides an opportunity to form organizational and pedagogical conditions for the future automobile engineering bachelors’ development with the adjustment of the educational process content by intensification and introduction of intense activity with the ICTs usage. It is established that the validity of the proposed model of the future automobile engineering bachelors’ readiness to use ICTs in a professional activity is possible to check with the help of a complex of criteria and to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed solutions during training.

Freedom, autonomy and responsibility are the ends of every educational process, especially in the modern society: globalized, rapid, in transformation; society in which each one of us is called to make numerous choices. Therefore, it is urgent to educate to choose and educate to the choice, so that young people can emancipate themselves from possible conditionings. To this end, the Montessori method represents a privileged way: child is free to choose his own activity and learns "to do by himself" soon; the teacher prepares the environment and the materials that allow the student to satisfy the educational needs of each period of inner development. Then, Montessori gives importance to adolescence because it is during this period that grows the social man. Consequently, it is important to reform the secondary school in order to acquire the autonomy that each student will apply to the subsequent school grades and to all areas of life
