Background. The risk of negative influence of unsuccessful selection of dental materials reveals the urgent need to use modern approaches in professional activity in order to provide the necessary quality of structures and their clinical and functional properties. The purpose of the study is to improve the quality of orthopedic treatment of patients with removable structures with an obturating part with two-layer bases due to the scientific substantiation of the selection of both soft substrates and acrylic plastics. Materials and methods. A comparative assessment of the connection strength was carried out jointly with the employees of the central factory laboratory of JSC "Stoma" (Kharkiv, Ukraine) in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO-10139. Research results. A comparative analysis of the study of the adhesion of A-silicon substrate materials to removable denture constructs made of acrylic plastics by various laboratory technologies included the results of a laboratory study of one of the most important physico-mechanical properties - bond strength. Investigation of bond strength (U, kgf / cm2) of material for soft substrates "PM-S" and acrylic polymer "Stomalite" found that its index is (5.3 ± 0.2) kgf / cm2 (Table. 1) and conforms to the regulatory requirements of ISO-10139. However, it was found that the index of the bond strength of the "PM-S" with the plastic "Pallopress" is equal to (5.5 ± 0.3) kgf / cm2, which is significantly (p <0,05) higher than the contact the material is "Villacryl H Plus" - (5.1 ± 0.2) kgf / cm2. The strength of the connection between the "PM-S extra" and the acrylic basis made from "Stomalite" is (6.9 ± 0.2) kgf / cm2, which exceeds the indicative index by 72.5% and is significantly (p <0 , 05) greater than in the combination of "PM-S" extra with "Pallopress" (6.8 ± 0.1) kgf / cm2 and "Villacryl H Plus" (6.7 ± 0.2) kgf / cm2. Polyvinyl siloxane material "PM-SN" is connected with acrylic plastic "Stomalite" with a strength of (9.3 ± 0.2) kgf / cm2. This indicator significantly (2.3 times) exceeds the indicative value (≥4.0 kgf / cm2) according to ISO-10139, which meets the quality requirements, and reliably (p <0.01) exceeds the results of research on the connection strength between "PM-CH" and "Pallopress" and "PM-SN" and "Villacryl H Plus", which are (9.0 ± 0.1) kgf / cm2 and (8.9 ± 0.2) kgf / cm2, respectively, and also meet the ISO requirements for this indicator. The study of the bond strength between the "Ufi Gel P" substrate and the "Stomalit" acrylic base plastics showed one of the best results throughout the study (9.1 ± 0.2) kgf / cm2, yet it is still inferior to the leading position of the "PM-CH"-"Stomalit" by 2.2%. However, in the "Ufi Gel P" bonding comparison group with other plastics, the result of the "Ufi Gel P" - "Stomalit" system was significantly (p <0,05) better than the "Ufi Gel P" - "Pallopress system" - (8.9 ± 0.3) kgf / cm2, which in turn inferior to the complex "Ufi Gel P" - "Villacryl H Plus" (8.8 ± 0.1) kgf / cm2. All of these systems comply with ISO-10139. The strength of the connection between materials "Silagum" and "Stomalite" is (5.9 ± 0.2) kgf / cm2, which corresponds to the normative requirements of ISO-10139 according to this indicator, but reliably (p <0.05) is slightly inferior to the system "Silagum" - "Pallopress" with a value of (6.0 ± 0.3) kgf / cm2, but 2.5% ahead of the connection "Silagum" and "Villacryl H Plus"- (5.8 ± 0.3) kgf / cm2 (p <0.05). Conclusions. A generalized analysis of the results showed that all the studied systems meet the regulatory requirements of ISO-10139. However, the highest step in determining the compliance with the connection strength is the system of domestic materials "PM-SN" - "Stomalite". Prospects for further research are obvious and work in this aspect can be considered not only necessary, but necessary, as conducting studies of compliance of materials will undoubtedly significantly help the dentist's orthopedist to determine the choice of structural material in the manufacture of two-layer dentures.

Selection of library materials is an important activity which aims to determine the selection of library materials based on characteristics and needs of users. Library selection activities are conducted by professional librarians who have the ability to develop collections. Due to the importance of library materials selection activities, the researcher conducted a study at the Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan 1 Pacitan Library. This study aimed to describe the principles of the librarian in the library material selection process at the library of Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan 1 Pacitan. The study used the descriptive qualitative method, with sampling using the purposive sampling technique to the librarian and non-librarian at the Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan 1 Pacitan Library. The data collection technique in this study used the semi-structured interview instruments. The researcher used the scope of library material selection principles consisting of the traditionalist, liberal and pluralistic view. According to the liberal view; the study results showed that librarians were not able to market the library through the approach to students. To the traditionalist view, the main principle in meeting the needs of students was based on the quality of library materials. While the pluralistic view suggested that most students were not satisfied with the literature available at the Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan 1 Pacitan Library. Based on that, the Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan 1 Pacitan Library has applied the traditionalist principles which can be seen from the quality of library materials that will be accessible to the students.

Abstract Introduction The kidney system is responsible for the maintenance of homeostasis and in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease the kidney functions changes, contributing for the development of various complications that will have adverse effects in tolerance to the physical exercise and in Quality of Life of this patients. Objective To evaluate the Effects of non-invasive ventilatory support in tolerance to the patients’ physical exercise in dialysis. Methods The patients performed two 6-minute walk tests, following an adapted protocol for treadmill, one of them without the use of non-invasive ventilatory support and the other with non-invasive ventilatory support during the walk. Besides, the patients answered a questionnaire of quality of life and the KDQOL-SFTM specific for the population under study. Results It was noticed that there was not statistical difference in the distance recorded during the 6-minute walk tests. Regarding the quality of life, the greater impact of the disease was in relation to “Professional Activity”. Conclusion In conclusion, a non-invasive ventilatory support did not cause significant effects in tolerance to the exercise of this population. However, we should take into consideration the limitations suffered during the research development.

The aim of the research is to identify the socio-economic features of rural households affecting the probability of obtaining a higher average monthly net income per person based on 100 entities in Central Pomerania, on the basis of pilot studies (direct questionnaire technique) using a logistic regression model. The dependent variable was the probability that the surveyed rural household would receive an average monthly net income per person above the median level for the studied sample. The selection of independent variables was made on the basis of literature studies. The results of the analyses confirmed that the following characteristics had a statistically significant impact on the tested probability: age, education of the head of the household and professional activity of household members. These parameters increase the probability of obtaining a higher average monthly net income per person in rural households of Central Pomerania.

Taxi services have evolved with the growth of information communication services and have become an essential infrastructure in a city’s transport landscape. In today’s era, mobility has become a vital need for people as they contemplate how to accomplish specific tasks, which require travel, time, and distance. Taxi services have filled this void by allowing people to commute to the last mile and meet their daily requirements. Failure of cab service operators to offer affordable and reliable taxi service would result in inferior taxi services that lead to dissatisfaction among customers. The key objective of this research was to determine important factors, namely, socioeconomic and service attribute factors that influence people’s choice based on satisfaction levels in selecting a particular taxi service like Ola and Uber in Bhubaneswar city. The study found that socioeconomic and service attribute factors were important in determining the choice of taxi service. Furthermore, it also revealed that people were more sensitive to the reliability of taxi service and cost in comparison to the quality of service and driver’s behavior. The study results would help cab service providers in customizing their services to attract more customers and increase their market share.

Abstract The author of the two-part article about evaluating reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD) responds to criticisms that a percentage impairment score may not adequately reflect the disability of an individual with RSD. The author highlights the importance of recognizing the difference between impairment and disability in the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (AMA Guides): impairment is the loss, loss of use, or derangement of any body part, system, or function; disability is a decrease in or the loss or absence of the capacity to meet personal, social, or occupational demands or to meet statutory or regulatory requirements because of an impairment. The disparity between impairment and disability can be encountered in diverse clinical scenarios. For example, a person's ability to resume occupational activities following a major cardiac event depends on medical, social, and psychological factors, but nonmedical factors appear to present the greatest impediment and many persons do not resume work despite significant improvements in functional capacity. A key requirement according to the AMA Guides is objective documentation, and the author agrees that when physicians consider the disability evaluation of people, more issues than those relating to the percentage loss of function should be considered. More study of the relationships among impairment, disability, and quality of life in patients with RSD are required.

The article discusses the reasonsfor an expert to participate in legal proceedings. The gnoseological reason for that consists of the bad quality of materials subject to examination that renders the examination either completely impossible or compromises objective, reasoned and reliable assessment of the findings. The procedural reason consists ofa proscription for an expert to collect evidence himself or herself. The author investigates into the ways of how an expert can participate in legal proceedings. If the defense invites an expert to participate in the proceedings, then it is recommended that his or her involvement should be in the presence of attesting witnesses and recorded in the protocol. In the course of the legal proceedings an expert has the following tasks: adding initial data, acquiring new initial data, understanding the situation of the incident, acquiring new objects to be studied, including samples for examination. An expert’s participation in legal proceedings differs from the participation of a specialist or an examination on the scene of the incident. The author describes the tasks that an expert solves in the course of legal proceedings, the peculiarities ofan investigation experiment practices, the selection of samples for an examination, inspection, interrogation.
