An idea of a control system architecture for a new wheeled mobile robot is proposed. The robot construction is characterized by an original drive mechanism and constitutes an extension of the previous research performed in Hochschule Ravensburg-Weingarten. In the new construction, the robot is given the ability to rise or lower its chassis. No complicated additional hardware is required as the level of the chassis can be changed by means of torque differences on the wheels. A modular approach is adopted to develop a hierarchical two-level and layered control system. Low and high levels correspond to local and global vehicle control. The low level is described in more detail, defining the layers and providing appropriate justification.

This article releases the details of the equipment development for the micro-anode guided electroplating MAGE fabrication. The microstepping architecture, electroplating power source, control system architecture, measurement system, man machine interface and the control prodedure will be described. Metallic columns around 100 micrometers in diameter were fabricated up to 2cm long with this equipment to demonstrate its performance. An innovative intermittent MAGE mode is supported by this equipment so that it can produce micro columns of finer surface morphology and better circumferential uniformity than the conventional continuous electroplating.

The authors have offered the homeostatic control system architecture for digital manufacture security based on the software-defined network technology. We have highlighted the development features of digital manufacture systems and defined the technology advantages of software- defined networks, which allow these networks to be successfully applied with flexible and adaptive topology for a highly efficient new generation of cyber-physical systems. We have also described the main operating principles of software-defined networks in digital manufacture systems. A description of homeostatic security control technology, which includes a combination of engines to provide stability of the system’s internal environment and structural and functional resistance to external disturbances, is provided. We have proposed and described in detail the homeostatic security control system architecture including three generalized components: monitoring unit, decision-making unit, protection and control unit.
