Advancement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is currently carrying various changes in various areas of life, including field of education specifically on New Students Admissions (PPDB) online. This evaluation study aimed to assess or determine the effectiveness of the implementation of PPDB online for improving the quality of learning in Gorontalo City. This evaluation study used survey research methods, they are the questionnaire, interviews, and observations. The results of this evaluation study shows that PPDB online system has been proved able to realize PPDB services faster, orderly, easy, transparent, accountable, effective, and efficient to the public. In addition, this online system can guarantee PPDB process in accordance with the applicable rules (technical manual) so that a more equitable (fair), may reduce the risk of manipulation (KKN), and may encourage the mastery of ICT to the public,and can improve the quality of learning. Therefore, people are satisfied with the system PPDB online. PPDB online system that uses Web-based technology can be a model implementation PPDB in the education office and school in the future. AbstrakKemajuan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi(TIK) saat ini membawa berbagai perubahan dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan, termasuk bidang pendidikan khususnya penerimaan peserta didik baru (PPDB) secara online. In the teaching and learning process, teachers are required to be able to carry out their role to the fullest as a motivator and initiator in an effort to maintain and at the same time increase the enthusiasm of students to learn. Especially in the Covid-19 pandemic situation which requires educational institutions to carry out online learning. This study aims to discuss the teacher's role as a motivator and the teacher's role as an initiator in improving the quality of student learning in online learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'arif Condro Jember. This research uses qualitative research methods and the type of research is a case study. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data using source triangulation and technical triangulation. Meanwhile, data analysis uses data condensation, data presentation and verification/conclusion. The results of this study indicate: 1) The teacher's role as a motivator in improving the quality of learning in online learning, namely: providing opportunities for students to play an active role in learning, providing reinforcement, praise or verbal appreciation, teachers listening to students' concerns and wishes to bond. good relationship between teachers and students. 2) The role of the teacher as an initiator in improving the quality of learning in online learning, namely: utilizing information and communication technology such as Whatsapp, Facebook, Google Meet and Google Form. Keywords: Teacher Role; Quality of Learning; Online Learning Dalam proses belajar mengajar, guru dituntut untuk mampu melaksanakan perannya secara maksimal menjadi motivator dan inisiator dalam upaya menjaga dan sekaligus meningkatkan semangat belajar peserta didik. Terlebih dalam situasi pandemi Covid-19 yang menuntut lembaga pendidikan untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran secara Daring. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas tentang peran guru sebagai motivator dan peran guru sebagai inisiator dalam meningkatan kualitas belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran daring di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma’arif Condro Jember. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan jenis penelitiannya adalah studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan kondensasi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi/kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: 1) Peran guru sebagai motivator dalam meningkatkan kualitas belajar pada pembelajaran daring yaitu: memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta didik untuk berperan aktif dalam pembelajaran, memberikan penguatan, pujian atau apresiasi secara verbal, guru mendengarkan keresahan dan keinginan peserta didik agar terjalin ikatan yang baik antara guru dan peserta didik. 2) Peran guru sebagai inisiator dalam meningkatkan kualitas belajar pada pembelajaran daring yaitu: memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi seperti Whatsapp, Facebook, Google Meet dan Google Form. The course is one of the education provided outside formal (non-formal) schools to develop personal abilities and skills. Eden Everyday English Course Institute is an Institution located in Bogor. In this institution, the registration process for students is done manually by filling in the registration form provided by the admin. Eden Everyday English Course Institute is one of the courses where the number of applicants increases every year, this causes the administration department cannot manage everything properly and feels overwhelmed so that it is not effective. With the increase in the number of students registering each year, it would be better if a web-based registration system was created, so that it could simultaneously serve as a medium for promoting the course institution. The purpose of this research is to create a web-based application to help the process of registration for new students in Eden Everyday English Course Institute using the waterfall method. Many studies, especially in the field of information system development, use the Waterfall method. This online course registration application is effective and efficient because it is supported by an integrated system. This application improves the quality of information and the efficiency of the implementation of online course registration.

This chapter deals with accessibility, a relevant and important concept for every citizen in the improvement of their quality of life in any environment or daily situation. Specifically, an empirical study about accessibility in the public health centers of a Basic Health Area (BHA) of Jaén is carried out. From this study, accessibility deficiencies in health buildings are revealed, and explicit proposals are provided with the aim of improving accessibility in different scopes such as information and communications. The improvement plans based on the use of Technology, Information, and Communication (TIC) tools help sensory disabled users that attend to the Health Center.

This chapter outlines a study that examines the role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in management of a rare and chronic disease, hemophilia. Evidence in literature shows how the adoption of ICTs can improve the management of chronic conditions. Furthermore, these tools may also give response to rare diseases' needs, while greatly improving the quality of life of those patients. A Web-based application that was developed to facilitate communication between Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and patients in a specific Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC), to improve the utility and quality of clinical data and treatment information, as well as to help the management of resources involved in a specific rare chronic disease, represents a practical case presented in this chapter. This technological solution allows the management of inherited bleeding disorders, integrating, diffusing, and archiving large sets of data relating to the clinical practice of hemophilia care, more specifically the clinical practice at the Hematology Service of Coimbra Hospital Center.

Currently, cities are being reconstructed to smart cities that use an information and communication technology (ICT) framework alongside the internet of things (IoT) technology to increase efficiency and also share information with the public, helping to improve the quality of government services citizens' welfare. This large, diverse set of information called big data is obtained by ICT and IoT technologies from smart cities. This information does not have any meaning of its own but a high potential to make use of smart city services. Therefore, the information collected is mined and processed through use of big data analytic techniques. The environmental footprints in smart cities can be monitored and controlled with the help of ICT. Big data analytic techniques help enhance the functionalities of smart cities and the 4G and 5G network provides strong connectivity for professional devices.

KPP Pratama Manado is a place provided by the government for the public or taxpayer in carrying out their obligations to report on each asset or wealth or income they have. Along with the times in the advancement of information and communication technology, KPP Pratama Manado provides convenience for taxpayer in reporting SPT (Surat Pemberitahuan Tahunan) by providing e-Filing. The e-Filing system is an online tax reporting system that has been provided by the government for taxpayer. However, the lack of knowledge of taxpayer on e-Filing system affects taxpayer still reporting annual SPTs manually. KPP Pratama Manado should further improve the grade and quality of e-Filing system so that they can be used more optimally by taxpayer.Keywords: SPT, e-Filing, taxpayer

Container which is considered one of the greatest role in the world of information and communication technology is the internet. Generally, any person already have internet access, so the use of the Internet as a medium of information and knowledge to provide convenience. In the medical field utilizing the Internet as a means of interaction for the purposes of providing information to the public, which will then more often we refer to as a web-based information systems. In this case the web-based information system is a system that utilizes focused web method in a network the Internet is used as a means of interaction information, both in terms of service delivery schedule and type of specialist medical services.
